Kai Shao, refusing to believe in bad luck, was preparing to attack again when suddenly the bespectacled man in the black suit vanished. With a series of kicking sounds, the guards he had brought all rolled their eyes back and collapsed.
The next instant, Kai Shao felt a sharp pain in his head, opened his mouth, and fainted.
Kro retracted his foot, calmly pushed up his glasses, and looked disdainfully at Kai Shao, who had been kicked to the ground. "You dare to talk about the Six Styles? Former Navy Lieutenant Commander? Trash."
"Well done."
Lida nodded, then looked at the timid little girl in the alley and held out a potato chip. "Do you want some?"
The little girl looked at the potato chips in Lida's hand, inexplicably swallowed, and then turned and ran into the alley.
"That's strange, it's rare for us to share food," Lida said, somewhat puzzled.
"You've changed your ways! You're actually sharing food now." Kuro said, somewhat surprised.
Lida said confidently, "That little girl was very hungry. I could feel it. Hunger is a terrible feeling. I've experienced hunger before, so I don't want anyone else to go hungry."
"This is not something someone like you, who has starved an entire town, should say."
"Ugh! They could have left more food, they were just too scared to do it. If it weren't for you, I would have left more food before I left!" Lida made a face.
"Then... let's follow them and see. The strangeness of Morgati might lie in that little girl."
Kuro stared at the deep alleyway as he spoke.
A guard captain actually thought that the way to solve the problem was to kill them.
What could possibly require killing someone to resolve?
