The subordinates who were 'infected' by Prince Amusement Park could not be taken along, and Kuro had no intention of taking them either, so he sent them back to stand by.
Fortunately, the sailors hadn't lost their senses and still knew the difference between superiors and subordinates.
But this is already quite appalling.
His subordinates were already wavering just from mentioning a name; if that Prince of Amusement were to come in person, the outcome would be hard to predict.
"A person with special abilities..."
Kuro had a bit of a headache.
Ability is sometimes absolute.
After witnessing the changes at the amusement park, he roughly understood the Amusement Park Prince's abilities.
Through certain methods, one can use their abilities to inspire admiration and even command others through words.
To deal with this kind of person, if Kuro were a commoner, he would go directly to the Prince of Amusement and ask him to remove his powers.
But he's in the navy, and there are certain rules he has to follow.
Morgani is a member state of the World Government, and Prince Yule is a prince of a country, not a pirate. The Navy has no right to arrest him, and even the World Government has no right to arrest him to some extent.
No matter what they do, it's an internal matter of their kingdom.
The only evidence was that his subordinates were infected, but that was not enough.
In fact, Kuro didn't even intend to interfere at first; he was just there to have fun.
Aside from infecting the Navy with his abilities, this prince, in Kuro's eyes, didn't seem to have done anything wrong.
There's nothing wrong with using one's abilities to lead the country to prosperity; it shows a strong sense of responsibility.
But Kai Shao's reaction of wanting to kill them was problematic.
And that little girl, and...
Kuro stepped forward and used his foot to lift Kaishao's cloak, revealing a black uniform underneath. His powerful muscles and physique filled the uniform completely.
"Morgati, equating thinness with beauty? I don't think so..."
It's more like that little girl, caused by hunger.
"Let's go take a look."
Using his Observation Haki to sense the aura that was different from the others, Kuro gave chase.
This commercial street is actually quite large; it's a circular area centered around the castle.
Kuro followed the scent through the commercial street and into a small alley, where he saw a tall wall.
Is something used to form a high wall to prevent people from seeing something?
Lida patted the wall and said to Kuro, "It's metal."
"ah..."
Kuro looked around and saw a small hole at the base of a wall.
In my perception, the little girl had already gone outside the wall.
"She crawled out of such a small hole? Even with her small stature, she must have suffered a lot."
Kro looked at the narrow opening, where dried bloodstains still clung.
Just by looking at her, you can understand why that little girl struggled to crawl out of the hole and insisted on coming into this bustling street, even though she was injured.
Kuro gripped the hilt of his sword, and several cold glints flashed in the darkness.
Click.
With the sound of a blade sheathing itself, a triangular mark was cut into the metal wall. Kuro gave it a gentle push, and the triangular wall collapsed, revealing a large gap of the same shape.
On the other side of the wall was pitch blackness, like an abyss.
Completely different from this neon-lit commercial street.
Kuro went inside.
The situation outside the wall was different from that of the commercial street. It was a wasteland that had not even been cultivated. The land was uneven and overgrown with weeds.
Following the scent, Kuro continued forward.
After walking a while longer, he finally saw a glimmer of light, stretching across the darkness.
As they drew closer, the faint light deepened, some glowing red and others glowing white.
Those were huge factories stretching out in a row!
The factory was billowing black smoke, making the already dark night even darker, with no light except for the light emitted by the factory itself.
Row upon row, all of them.
At the entrance of each factory, two uniformed guards stood, carrying guns, smiling, and standing ramrod straight.
At the front of the factory, there is a row of scattered buildings.
Perhaps it shouldn't be called architecture; it could be called scattered wooden sheds.
Kuro didn't even see the door, only the interior of the building, where simple furniture sat on the messy, uneven ground.
A dirty, messy table and a dirty, messy mattress.
There was no one in the shack.
Under a large rock not far away, the little girl squatted down, staring nervously at one of the factories.
Soon, a bell rang from the factory.
The rumbling factory fell silent, and countless people with gaunt faces, wearing hoods and tall hats, emerged from inside.
Without exception, they all had happy smiles on their faces.
"Dad, Mom!"
The little girl spotted two people in the crowd and rushed towards them.
A slender couple in the crowd saw the newcomers. The man reached out and touched the little girl's head. "Molly, are you happy today?"
"I..."
The little girl opened her mouth, looking at the happy expressions on their faces, and felt a little aggrieved.
She took out a cloth bag from her bosom, unfolded it, and showed it to the couple. "Eat this. If you don't, your bodies won't be able to take it."
Upon seeing the dirty buns in the cloth bag, the couple's expressions remained unchanged, but the hand that was stroking the little girl's head shifted its angle.
Snap!
With a sharp crack, a slap landed on the little girl's face, knocking her to the ground. The cloth bag in her hand fell to the ground, scattering the buns everywhere.
