Chapter 247: A Trap

Chapter 247: A Trap

Ah Zhi was speechless for a moment, his lips moving again and again, and finally the desire to explain for his mother prevailed, "She... after she woke up, she always wanted to make it up to you. That little door in the yard was left specially for you.

Although my father disagreed, he still acquiesced to my mother's actions. That's why you can come and go as you please. You also have a share of what I have on weekdays. She really wants to make it up to you.

"Perhaps, but none of this is worth mentioning in front of you. I hurt you, and she acquiesced to your father's actions. Afterwards, I begged her to take me in to live with you, but she was worried that I would hurt you again and refused without hesitation.

Of course, she'll continue to take care of me, but every time I come, your mother stays close to you. She pretends to be nice to me, but at the same time, she's wary of me. Is this what you call making amends?

Haha, we are both ordinary people. She treats me like a piece of trash, but treasures you like a treasure. Why? Isn't it because you have a powerful family? "

"It's not what you think. Mother woke up when she gave birth to me, and she regretted what she had done to you. But ever since your father passed away, you've been filled with hatred for us. If we continue to live together, there will never be peace."

"So she abandoned me."

"...You also took revenge. You were the only one who knew about the small door. It was suddenly locked that day. I can't think of any other reason."

"I didn't! I said I didn't lock it!" Bian Qin retorted loudly.

Ah Zhi rarely showed any strength, "If not, then who else?"

"It's a mutant beast!"

"Will mutant beasts lock the door?"

"...It's true." Bian Qin looked dejected. "When I received the news of the beast tide, I thought her ears were injured and she might not have heard it, so I ran towards your house.

But when I grasped the doorknob, I suddenly hesitated. You made me an orphan, why should I save you?

I was struggling between whether to save it or not, and didn't notice the mutant beast approaching. When I realized it was close, I only had time to roll to the side, and it hit the lock on the door handle, which happened to be locked.

I was stunned for a moment, then I reacted and went to open the door. But I didn't have a key, so I had to look for tools to break it down. I searched everywhere, but there was nothing.

I was thinking of going home to get a pickaxe for mining, but when I rushed over with the pickaxe, there were already many mutant beasts surrounding the door. I was about to be discovered, so I had no choice but to escape.

I'm just an ordinary person with no offensive power. If I go back, I can do nothing but die with you. At that time, I thought, why should I die with you? I don't owe you anything. Then I left with the rescue team."

"The mutant beast just happened to bump into the door lock and then locked it?" It's not that Azhi is suspicious, it's just that what she said was too far-fetched.

"Why, you don't believe it?"

"I'm more convinced that you accidentally locked the door because you were too scared after seeing a mutant beast. Otherwise, over the years, you'd repeatedly run into people and things from the past, and you'd panic and become uneasy."

Bian Qin paused, then confidently said, "I don't know what you're talking about. If you think I did it, show me the evidence."

"Do you think I don't have evidence?" Ah Zhi said sarcastically, "Ever since you injured my hand, father has installed several photo stones in our house, especially the small door you use. He installed one inside and one outside, leaving no blind spots."

"Oh, would I believe you?" Bian Qin was just flustered for a moment, then quickly calmed herself down. She felt that Azhi was shaking her.

"My father and I escaped through a small door. He took the two photo stones and gave them to me. I've kept them with me ever since. I thought you would admit to the evil you did, but you're denying it again."

When Bian Qin heard that the photo stone was on Ah Zhi, she immediately panicked. Trying to maintain her composure, she asked in a deep voice, "Where is the photo stone?"

"Here," Ah Zhi didn't hesitate and took it out from the space device. When he handed it to her, he suddenly withdrew his hand and said calmly, "Don't think about destroying it. I copied a lot."

Bian Qin took it suspiciously, his fingertips trembling uncontrollably. When he touched the photo stone, he subconsciously glanced at Azhi. When Azhi showed a faint smile, fear finally arose in his heart.

Holding the photo stone in his hand, Bian Qin secretly prepared himself mentally, mustered up the courage to activate his supernatural powers, and found only a dilapidated yard.

Bian Qin immediately relaxed a lot, thinking that Ah Zhi was being mysterious. "Who are you trying to fool with this rubbish?"

Azhi smiled and looked at Bian Qin apologetically, "Oh, it seems that I didn't get the key image," and took out another piece.

Bian Qin's heart, which had just relaxed, immediately tensed up. The image on the stone showed a man fighting bloody battles, rushing towards a nearby courtyard. That courtyard was undoubtedly Azhi's home, and the man was Azhi's father.

Bian Qin felt that Ah Zhi was deliberately teasing her again, and she became angry and embarrassed. "What do you mean? Is it fun to play tricks on people like this?"

"I copied a lot of... clips, and they're all mixed up, so it's really hard to find." Ah Zhi looked at Bian Qin helplessly, "Are you still going to watch?"

Bian Qin was suspicious, so he looked at it and felt relieved. He called out to Ah Zhi in a bad mood, "Give it to me!"

Azhi shrugged and continued to take out.

The third picture shows a door panel that has been scratched and bitten to pieces, but the lock is not only intact but also firmly locked.

Bian Qin was stunned when he saw the lock, and the photo stone in his hand slipped away. He grabbed a new one at random, but it was the scene of a dense swarm of mutant beasts besieging the yard.

Bian Qin swallowed nervously, waiting to read the next part. It was indeed the mother and daughter's daily routine in the house. Because of the angle, Bian Qin could only see their backs, but it still made her angry.

What followed were some insignificant scenes. Bian Qin's heart was beating fast and hard as she still didn't see what she wanted to see. She could hardly breathe for a while.

Just as she was about to recover, she saw the woman holding the girl and looking at the mutant beast on the wall in horror. The mutant beast was breaking through the safety net.

The woman was the first to come to her senses, she pulled the girl up and ran into the house, and when she reached the door she pushed her in.

Because she fell behind, her leg was bitten by a mutant beast. At this moment, she did not panic, but remained unusually calm, holding on to the door sill tightly, kicking the mutant beast that bit her calf one after another.

The girl stood in the living room, crying in fear. The woman said something to her, but she kept shaking her head and ran away.

The woman had no choice but to kick the mutant beast away with her amazing perseverance. Just as she was about to enter the house, she was knocked down by another one and bit her shoulder.

The woman was so ferocious that she grabbed the mutant's head with her backhand and refused to let go no matter how hard it struggled. The mutant got irritated by the grip and not only did it not let go, it bit even harder.

The woman didn't give up. She quickly found the mutant's eye, digging her nails into it without hesitation. The mutant felt pain and bit madly, biting off a piece and biting it again.
