Chapter 17 cannot be considered an expert.

"What are you two doing here?"

She asked in a rude tone.

Mu Tao scoffed, "You think I'll just tell you because you're asking? What a pipe dream."

"Um."

Luo Tianya grunted in response, then said without any manners, "None of your business."

"oh."

Monet responded, her aura radiating frustration and dejection.

She said calmly, "Then you all go ahead with your work, I'm leaving."

"Wait, where are you going?"

Seeing her like this, Mu Tao blurted out before she could think, "Want to team up with us?"

The moment the words left his mouth, he wanted to slap himself.

Luo Tianya looked at him with a shocked expression, as if to say, "You must be crazy."

The viewers in the live stream were amused.

Many people flooded the screen with comments mocking Mu Tao.

"You clearly said you didn't want Mo Nai Nai before, saying she was pretentious and had a princess complex, but now you're offering yourself up. Little Peach, what can we say about you?"

"I'm too lazy to even complain. I've figured it out. Little Peach is someone whose brain is in a state of being hit by a meteorite for at least 363 days out of 365. In other words, she's abnormal."

"It's really abnormal, I've never seen anyone who enjoys contradicting themselves so much..."

Mu Tao, who loves to contradict herself, is now filled with deep regret.

However, it was too late to regret it, because Monet quickly replied, "I do."

Mu Tao, "..."

Luo Tianya, "!!!"

The two exchanged a glance, looked at Mo Nainai, who was disheveled and covered in wounds on her face, hands, and neck, and sighed resignedly.

"Okay, since we're teaming up, come with us."

Monet said "Oh," and followed after him, carrying the Bearded Tooth Fungus. "Where to?"

Mu Tao: "Let's go eat."

Monet: "Is there still food to eat?"

Mu Tao: "There's no rice, but there's meat."

Monet swallowed hard. "Where's the meat?"

Mu Tao was a little impatient, but still said, "It's in the pot."

"oh."

Sensing his impatience, Monet responded and then followed the two without saying another word.

But after only two seconds of silence, she started chattering again.

She talks a lot, mostly meaningless complaints about how the production team is inhumane and how hard her life is.

She even started crying as she spoke; she was truly heartbroken.

Mu Tao and Luo Tianya initially offered a few words of comfort, but later realized that it was useless, so they gave up trying.

Unexpectedly, this made Monet dissatisfied again, accusing the two of them of being inhumane and so on.

The two men were so angry they wanted to give her a good beating.

Then, the three of them argued all the way back, two men and one woman, and they still couldn't win the argument.

He was often rendered speechless and furious by Monet's words.

The viewers in the three live streams were laughing hysterically, flooding the chat with comments like, "Where did these three elementary school kids come from? They can't even argue properly."

That's incredibly childish.

It gives them the feeling of watching little cubs bickering.

Hearing the arguing outside, Sang Ning's ears twitched. Something was wrong. They were supposed to be going to find their childhood friend, so why was there a woman's voice?

Could it be that Mu Tao brought back a female teammate?

Sang Ning glanced at the pot bubbling and emitting a fragrant aroma, then at the wild ducks roasting on bamboo skewers over the fire, before turning her gaze back to her work.

At her feet lay bamboo fragments, and the bamboo section she had cut in her hand was almost complete. On the stone next to her, there were three bamboo bowls of the same shape.

After finishing the last cut, she lifted the bamboo bowl and blew away the shavings. Seeing that it was almost done, she quickly moved the tip of the dagger along the surface of the bowl.

The seemingly haphazard movement and the rotation of the bamboo bowl created lines of varying depths on the surface, which at first glance appeared chaotic. However, as she stopped blowing away the debris from the marks, a clump of wild orchids came into view for the viewers in the live stream.

"It's not the first time I've seen it, but seeing it again still feels amazing."

"Is this a carving technique that has long been lost in human history?"

"(⊙o⊙)...Sculpting technique? Are you serious, upstairs?"

"I'm not serious, I'm just guessing randomly, but to be honest, I think Sang Ning's hand is really like sculpting."

"Don't guess, just ask the person in charge."

So, Manager Luo took the stage again.

After a polite greeting, he got straight to the point, "Sang Ning, good evening. At the request of many viewers, I would like to know if the carving technique you are using is a lost art?"

Everyone's ears perked up.

Mu Tao and her group, who were only a few steps away from the cave, stopped in their tracks upon hearing the person in charge's question.

Lost carving techniques?

That sounds really impressive.

So, will Sang Ning do it?

Sang Ning really knows how to do it.

But not very good.

There's a big difference between being good at something and being an expert; the saying "everyone has their own expertise" is never a joke.

So, her answer was—

"I know a little bit, but I can't say I'm an expert."

The person in charge, "..."

audience,"!!!"

Mu Tao and the others were confused.

Everyone was speechless. The person in charge remained silent for a long time before saying quietly, "You don't seem like someone who's not proficient."

"I'm really not good at it."

Sang Ning laughed and said, "I am at most a beginner. A true master sculptor is not at my level, but one who can make the work present a natural and harmonious unity between the sculptor and the object."

"This one,"

Looking at her work, she chuckled and said, "It's too craftsman-like and lacks naturalness and fluidity. Let alone making a work of art, it would probably be an eyesore to a true master."

Is it really that bad?

Mu Tao couldn't stand it anymore and rushed over, saying, "Ningning, let me take a look."

As he spoke, his gaze fell on the bamboo bowl in her hand. "Is this it?"

"Um."

Sang Ning nodded, handed him the bamboo bowl and told him to look at it as he pleased, then his gaze fell on Luo Tianya and Mo Nainai, who appeared behind Mu Tao.

Each of them was holding a half-dead crab, and the other was holding a beard fungus.

He was looking at her with curiosity.

"Hello, welcome. I am contestant number 238, Sang Ning. It's a pleasure to meet you all."

She smiled and invited the two of them in, then introduced herself.

The tone is gentle, the attitude is neither overly enthusiastic nor overly cold, but rather maintains a just-right balance.

Luo Tianya looked at her in great surprise, "You've changed so much. You weren't like this on the spaceship."

Sang Ning reviewed the original owner's memories and gained an understanding of the original owner's performance on the spaceship.

She hummed in agreement and said calmly, "The spaceship is full of elite humans. It's better for me, a primitive human, to be cautious when sharing a spaceship with so many elite humans."

That makes sense.

Luo Tianya expressed his understanding, but Mo Nainai said with a sincere expression, "Isn't your behavior what our ancestors meant by 'when the cat's away, the mice will play'?"
