Chapter 204 Are you asleep? Could you please...?

Judge Cui said with a serious expression, "It depends on your performance."

One of the ghost messengers immediately expressed his gratitude, saying, "Don't worry, we will never do it again."

Another chimed in, "Yes, yes, even if you gave me a few times the courage, I wouldn't dare."

After Judge Cui left, the two ghost messengers wiped non-existent sweat from their foreheads. The ghost messenger who had just been pushed out immediately started beating the ghost who had pushed him, yelling, "I'll teach you to push me! I'll teach you to push me!"

"Ouch, I'm not as eloquent as you, and besides, Judge Cui didn't say anything, did he? Hey, hey, hit me gently!" The ghost that was being hit dodged around, howling and explaining.

"Then you should have pushed me out! Didn't you see how stern Judge Cui looked just now? He was terrifying!"

He covered his face with his arm, "Okay, okay, I was wrong. I'll treat you to a meal at Boss Qin's Restaurant as an apology, okay?"

The ghost immediately withdrew its hand from him and snorted, "That's more like it."

Judge Cui couldn't help but feel something was wrong. The King of Hell had actually told Miss Qin not to bring him food. Could it be that the two of them had another little argument?

But he just noticed that King Yama's mood didn't seem off.

Judge Cui: [You all analyze this, what's wrong with King Yama?]

Horse-faced: [What is it?]

Fan Wujiu: [Is there some other story between King Yama and Miss Qin?]

Judge Cui: [When I just came out of the King of Hell's palace, I ran into those two little ghost messengers chatting at the entrance. I asked them something, and guess what?! Miss Qin came to deliver food, but she was sent away, not even allowed into the King of Hell's palace! The King of Hell actually sent Miss Qin back! Tell me, what's going on?]

Judge Cui: [I initially thought that King Yama was injured, which is why he didn't want Miss Qin to know. But King Yama spent the whole day in the Yama Palace today, and I didn't notice anything unusual! He was just like usual! His mood wasn't like when he and Miss Qin had their argument earlier.]

Fan Wujiu: [So, it seems the King of Hell's thoughts are indeed somewhat complicated.]

Ox-Head: [The King of Hell's thoughts are hard to fathom.]

Horse-faced: [I originally thought that Miss Qin and King Yama were a done deal, but now that things have turned out this way, I'm a little confused again.]

Only Meng Po, upon hearing Judge Cui's words, recalled Fan Wujiu's earlier mention of Yama's injury and began to have some other guesses.

Meng Po: [I heard that Prince Pei Yan went back with Princess Tang Yun?]

Judge Cui: [Yes, weren't you at the Bridge of Helplessness? How did you know about this?]

Meng Po: [Because I am always concerned with the important matters of the underworld.]

Meng Po then asked, "Did you notice anything different about King Yama today compared to usual?"

Judge Cui: [No, right? He looks about the same as usual.]

After saying that, he added, "Does being more indifferent than usual count?"

Meng Po: [That's settled!]

If that's the case, then it makes sense.

After Qin Yune returned home, she did not take out the food from the food box, intending to eat it the next morning.

Then she went to Jian Er's room. Before going in, she thought of the unexpected incident at noon, so she knocked on the door and said, "I'm coming in."

She heard a rustling sound inside, which seemed odd. Just as she was about to open the door, she heard his muffled voice say, "Wait a minute..."

About a minute later, a voice came from inside saying, "You can come in now."

Qin Yunie opened the door, and Jian Er's face was flushed pink, which looked quite strange.

Although Qin Yunie didn't have the habit of prying into other people's private affairs, this was, after all, her home, and she was worried that something might happen, so she asked somewhat curiously, "What are you doing?"

Jian Er said calmly, "I didn't do anything. I just got some water and wanted to wipe myself down."

She then noticed that the thermos she had brought in at noon was open, and his clothes were slightly disheveled.

Qin Yunie didn't say anything upon hearing this, but pursed her lips and said, "Your injury hasn't healed yet, so you have to avoid wiping the wound when you do it. If the wound gets wet, it won't heal easily."

"I'll go get you some water; how can you clean it properly with so little water?" she said, turning and walking out.

A little while later, they brought in another basin of hot water.

Qin Yunie placed the water on the stool with a towel in it and instructed, "Just wipe yourself clean, remember to avoid the wound. I got you some clothes, see if you can wear them. Message me if you need anything, I'm going out now."

She placed the T-shirt she was holding on the table. It was a T-shirt she had bought to wear as pajamas, but after going to the Qin family, she put it aside. She could use it to give him to wear.

Before he could speak, Qin Yunie went out again.

She went back to her room and sat for a while. Bored, she scrolled through videos on her phone. After a while, she figured Jian Er should have finished cleaning, so she got up to take out the basin and dirty clothes from his room and poured some water into his thermos.

Afterwards, she went back to her room to get her clothes and went to the bathroom. She locked the bathroom door before starting to wash up.

After she finished washing up, she went back to her room, locked the door, and lay down on the bed.

Last night, Jian Er was unconscious, and Qin Yune didn't think much of it. But today, he's a living, breathing man, which makes her feel inexplicably uncomfortable.

Even if the other person didn't leave the house once all day except to go to the toilet.

I wonder when the other person's injury will heal.

Just then, Qin Yunie received a message on his phone.

Jian Er: [Are you asleep? Could you please...?]

Although Jian Er didn't send the whole message, Qin Yune immediately thought of a similar message he had sent during the day. He had simply wanted to go to the bathroom, but because she was a girl, he was too embarrassed to be too direct.

After she arrived, he said he wanted to resolve some personal issues.

Qin Yunie quickly got out of bed, put on a coat and buttoned it up before going to the next room.

However, she did not find anyone in the next room. Qin Yune cautiously took a talisman and then went outside to look for them.

After searching around and finding no one, he asked, "Where are you?"

"At the entrance to the restroom."

Qin Yune quickly went to the bathroom. As soon as he reached the door, he saw Jian Er on the ground. Qin Yune wanted to laugh when he saw his posture. He was leaning against the door in a disheveled state. His hair was a little messy, he had lost one shoe, and his pants and clothes were a little wet.

She then noticed that there seemed to be a puddle of water where he had been.

Jian Er seemed to fall silent because he was so embarrassed by such a small puddle of water. No wonder he only said half of what he wanted to say earlier; he probably felt ashamed.

Qin Yunie suppressed a laugh and asked, "Are you alright?"

Jian Er paused for a moment before saying, "Could you please help me up?"

She had barely helped him up for a couple of seconds when he rushed off to the bathroom.

It seems like he's been holding this in for a while.
