Chapter 31 The Childish Guy Helps You

Chapter 31 The Childish Guy Helps You

Li Mao was suspended in the air, controlled by a huge mechanical claw, going up and down with the mecha, just like sitting on a ten-meter drop tower without a seatbelt.

He turned deathly pale with fright, and screamed, "Let me down!! Help!! Xie Xingchen is going to kill me!!!"

With a shake and a shout, Xie Xingchen really has no morals when he's being naughty.

The other person yelled, and he experienced weightlessness, which was quite a visually appealing rhythm.

Lin Yao raised his head slightly, his eyes meeting Xie Xingchen's in mid-air, and he laughed and scolded, "Childish."

“I’ll help you get revenge, you childish devil,” Xie Xingchen replied to him over the communicator.

Seeing his friend being treated like this, Duan Zheng rushed over, trying to snatch him back.

Unexpectedly, Xie Xingchen dodged with surprising agility, grabbing the person and wobbling as he leaped to the side. Before leaving, he didn't forget to pat the other person's head as a sign of mockery.

“Li said his skills weren’t good; he was just walking and bumped into people several times. I was helping him practice. We’re classmates helping each other out, so why did Duan try to stop me?”

Xie Xingchen said slowly, "Could it be that you don't want to see your friend improve? How malicious."

That made Duan Zheng so angry he couldn't speak.

"Does silence mean you agree?" Xie Xingchen shook Li Mao, who was suspended in mid-air, and sighed, "Your friendship is really too fake."

Mocking him to the point of agitation, Duan Zheng raised his hand and launched a laser attack.

Boom—

Xie Xingchen nimbly dodged, directly hitting the mecha watching the commotion behind him. The passerby didn't have time to dodge, and half of his mechanical arm was pierced through.

Xie Xingchen mocked again: "It seems that Duan also needs to practice more. The third-place sniper is only at this level. The classmate who was accidentally hit is really pitiful."

"You..." Duan Zheng was furious. He raised his hand again and began to attack him continuously.

Xie Xingchen and his men also dodged quickly, darting around the arena as if they were leaping across rooftops.

Without fighting back or retaliating, it's like teasing a cat, making people furious but unable to hit them.

The scene was thrown into chaos by the sudden attack.

Most of them were freshmen and had never seen anything like this before. They ran around in a panic, crashing into things and falling flat on their faces. Some were even hit and their faces contorted in pain. Lin Yao had no choice but to follow behind and help them clean up the mess.

Seeing him causing such a ruckus, he finally opened his communicator and stopped someone: "It's about time to call it a day."

Xie Xingchen pressed the intercom button, his anger subsiding: "Yes, sir."

The farce is over.

The silver mech, which had been showing off its skills on the field, suddenly stopped moving, bounced high, turned nimbly, and jumped down.

After casually tossing Li Mao aside, he flashed in front of Duan Zheng with lightning speed.

Before the other person can react, lock their throat, lift them into the air, and then slam them back to the ground.

With a deafening roar, the steel mech was slammed to the ground and smashed to pieces.

"Lesson over. Try harder next time, Duan." Xie Xingchen looked down at his defeated opponent and said calmly.

"Holy crap, that combo was so cool, so cool."

"He seems to have had four more years of schooling than us, and he's just a freshman crushing newbies."

"When I watched the freshman competition, I thought he was just all show and no substance, but it turns out he's so much better than the third place winner."

"I can't even imagine how fierce Lin Yao, who's in first place, will be..."

The surroundings were noisy. The training ground gate was pushed open, and a dignified voice came: "What's all the noise about? I've only been gone for ten minutes, and you're already fighting like this?"

Li Mao lay on the ground, clutching his calf, howling, "Dean Huo, you have to stand up for me, Dean!!! Xie Xingchen!!! He bullies the weak!!!! He bullies the vulnerable!!!! My calf is broken!!!!"

"Damn it, he really has the nerve to say that!" He Li's eyes widened, and he lay down on the ground like the man, yelling even louder, "Dean Huo!!!! You have to stand up for me, Dean!!! Li Mao is bullying the weak!!! He's bullying the vulnerable!!! My head is throbbing from hitting it!!!"

Lin Yao: "......"

Xie Xingchen exclaimed in amazement: "Awesome!"

Li Mao crawled over and hugged Principal Hall's leg, sobbing and crying: "He just left me hanging in the air and swaying me back and forth. I'm a coward, I was really scared to death. Maybe I'll have psychological trauma from this and my military career will be over. The consequences are really too serious. What will happen if the Alliance loses another excellent general in the future?"

Lin Yao stepped out of the mecha and said calmly, "If your mental fortitude is this bad, dropping out of school early would be the greatest contribution you could make to the Alliance."

“You…” Li Mao swallowed back his curse words. Damn it, he couldn’t win the argument, so he turned to the principal and shook him: “Principal, they not only bullied me, but they also bullied Duan Zheng. They’re a gang in the dormitory, doing all sorts of bad things. Master Qingtang, you have to stand up for me!”

Hall was so annoyed by the noise that his gaze remained fixed on one spot for a long time: the shattered remains scattered on the ground. Then, everything went black.

The latest generation of Class A experimental products that were just donated were destroyed in just two punches. My heart aches.

He shouted, "Who broke it?!"

"Xie Xingchen." Duan Zheng crawled out of the wreckage with difficulty, wiping his face fiercely. "If you don't believe me, you can check the recorder."

Xie Xingchen removed his mask: "I also have my reasons, Principal. I don't know what happened to my hand, I couldn't control it, and it went towards Li and Duan. Maybe my skills are not good enough, and I can't control my attacks well. I'm too bad."

It was extremely sarcastic and bizarre.

"You clearly attacked me intentionally, trying to kill me." Duan Zheng was humiliated for the second time in just two days, his face as black as iron.

Xie Xingchen smiled and said, "You must have misunderstood. No, you haven't."

Each of them had their own opinion, and Hall's gaze swept back and forth between them with a deep look. He waved his hand and said, "All of you, get to the office."

Lin Yao was still worried, so he went along anyway, his mind filled with thoughts of a bloody incident triggered by a video.

"I helped you vent your anger, aren't you happy?" Xie Xingchen followed behind, leaned over, and bumped his arm against him.

"I'm afraid this matter will never end," Lin Yao said in a low voice. "After all, this grudge has been formed, and what if..."

Xie Xingchen turned to look at him, quite intrigued: "You used to beat me to a pulp every time we played in the league, weren't you afraid we'd become enemies forever?"

Lin Yao: "......"

Xie Xingchen paused for a few seconds, then said slowly, "Or is it that you're actually doing this mainly to get my attention from multiple angles, like those clumsy techniques in old idol dramas?"

Lin Yao was truly speechless: "You really should take a look at your brain."

In the office, the group managed to explain what had happened, but each held their own version of events and felt that the other was more at fault, leading to a heated argument.

Hall sorted things out, pieced together the truth of the matter, took a sip of tea, and said: "In this way, everyone is at fault. You should all reflect on yourselves and apologize to those who feel you should apologize. I will make a college-wide announcement to give an explanation to the student who was accidentally injured earlier."

After saying that, he paused and added, "If you think you've done nothing wrong, it won't be good to hand it over to the court later."

The implication is that minor conflicts should be resolved within the hospital grounds, as escalating them would only make things difficult for everyone.

As he spoke, he turned on the broadcast button and briefly explained the whole story.

In such matters, the one who speaks first has the upper hand. He Li immediately bowed and slid to his knees: "Duan Zheng, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have edited the video of you being kicked and posted it online. Next time, I will definitely consider your fragile self-esteem and your inability to accept failure. I was wrong."

"You fucking..." Duan Zheng felt like he had been stabbed in the face again.

"No swearing." Hall nodded and commented, "Very fair and sincere, next one."

Li Mao straightened his back, his face full of resentment but he had no choice but to lower his head: "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have provoked He Li and Lin Yao. I was too righteous and blinded by my own actions in helping my friends. Next time, I will definitely think twice."

He Li rolled her eyes and muttered, "Your apology isn't very sincere."

Duan Zheng also spoke up: "I shouldn't have acted rashly towards Xie Xingchen either. I forgot the rules of the training ground because of my impulsiveness. I am willing to be punished."

Then, turning his head, out of the principal's sight, he mouthed disdainfully to Xie Xingchen: "Idiot."

The broadcast was obviously not recorded, which made it even more frustrating.

Xie Xingchen's expression was indifferent.

Lin Yao saw it and narrowed his eyes slightly. He had to stand up for Young Master Xie, otherwise someone would be unhappy again.

"Everyone's been quite polite," Hall said, glancing at the destruction machine with a cold laugh. "And what's your take on it?"

Xie Xingchen put his hands in his pockets and said slowly, "I did nothing wrong in rescuing Lin Yao from danger."

"That's sophistry!" Hall glared angrily.

"I did nothing wrong in dodging and retaliating when attacked by Duan Zheng."

"Stubborn to the end!" Hall slammed his fist on the table and stood up.

"I helped test the school's new mecha. It was the poor quality of the mecha that broke with one punch. I was still not wrong."

He Li: "Awesome."

Li Mao: "Pretentious."

Duan Zheng couldn't help but curse out loud: "Idiot."

Hall nearly fainted: "You really want me to call Alliance Leader Xie and tell him..."

Li Mao shook his head and said sarcastically, "You're so disrespectful to the dean, you're finished. Your parents will be called in."

"Tell him what?"

Xie Xingchen placed a black card on the table, his tone casual, "So, based on the test results, I've decided to sponsor a small amount to buy a few more high-quality mechs to donate to the school. What do you think?"

“…”

The entire room fell into a deathly silence.

Hall quickly put the card into his pocket, patted him on the shoulder, and smiled.

"Tell him that his son is so considerate and outstanding, he's truly amazing!"
