To win a bet with his childhood friend, Wuqì ventures alone into the Peach Blossom Forest, only to discover a buried corpse!
"What is going on!" he exclaims, perplexed by the grim scene.
His timid mentor quietly reports the incident, yet proudly receives the last place in class standings.
The school admonishes, "Both the top and bottom of the class must help investigate this case," prompting a tense reaction.
Last place student Wuqì mutters, "…", while the top student Yishen replies with a similar silence.
Suddenly, questions arise: "Wait, didn't our family say we can't join the civil service? What are they doing again?"
The emperor proposes marriage, but Wuqì rebuffs, saying, "I want to research weapons."
The emperor consents, "It's okay," and Yishen remains silent.
Just as Wuqì attempts to console Yishen, he is surprised to find Yishen has not cried this time—his usually pristine demeanor remains, since he'd already wept once before.
All the people on the street witness the scene.
