Island Survival 2
Second day on the island.
It was also the 6th day of the raft survival dungeon. There was still no one to be seen on the beach. I didn’t know if it was because the map was too large or the clearance rate of the raft survival was too low.
The two of them had a simple breakfast and made lunch at the same time. They had the long-lost bread with grilled fish. After the grilled fish was ready, they placed it in Chu Yun's storage ring. The two of them did not plan to cook at noon.
Then, after putting out the fire, we began the day's work: picking seafood on the beach, collecting wood, picking wild vegetables, and checking yesterday's traps for prey.
Every day when the tide recedes, it brings up some marine life. Today, Chu Yun and his friends harvested a large handful of razor clams, which are especially delicious when used to make soup.
The fires had to be lit every night to keep away prey and insects, so they consumed a lot of wood. They needed to stock up. They checked the traps they had set yesterday but found nothing. The dry bread inside hadn't been eaten. They continued their exploration for another half hour, adding two more traps.
After dinner, we continued to take turns to keep watch.
The third day on the island, the seventh day of the raft survival dungeon.
She and Xu Dongdong patrol the edge of the beach every day to see if there are any new players arriving.
Today they saw a figure lying on the beach from afar, with the waves constantly washing over his body.
This person was Yu Wenhao, dragging his injured leg onto the beach, following the tide. He was exhausted, unable to move his hands or feet. Coincidentally, this was the same beach where Xu Dongdong and the others were, and the effectiveness of the systematic team formation was finally reflected at this moment.
He seemed to hear someone calling him in a half-asleep state. The voice was very familiar and gave him a sense of security. Finally, he closed his eyes with peace of mind.
When Xu Dongdong and Chu Yun arrived, he was the only one around. Yu Wenhao had already fallen into a coma. Chu Yun squatted down to check his injuries.
"My calf was slightly injured, but it's not a big deal. I just fainted from exhaustion."
Xu Dongdong felt relieved after hearing this.
The two carried him to the camp. The fire was still burning, and the warm water came in handy. Chu Yun gently tore open the bloody bandage on Yu Wenhao's calf, revealing the hideous wound inside. Yu Wenhao had his own system bandage, but it looked like it had been used up long ago.
Chu Yun took Xu Dongdong's sharp knife and licked it over the fire. After it was disinfected, he carefully cut off the rotten flesh on his calf. After cleaning it, he applied Xu Dongdong's crushed herbs to the wound, and then took out a bandage from the storage ring and bandaged it on him.
The system bandage has its own hemostatic properties, and the herbs have the effect of accelerating wound healing. It will probably be healed in two days.
"Okay!"
Chu Yun tied a bow and finished the work perfectly.
"You watch him while I gather supplies."
There was a wounded person in the camp, and Chu Yun was worried about Yu Wenhao being alone, so he left Xu Dongdong to take care of him.
She first went to the beach, and this time the sea water seemed to be much higher than yesterday.
As she was collecting seafood and shells, a group swam up from the sea. Surprisingly, there were four of them. They also saw Chu Yun, and seeing that he was wearing the sportswear unearthed by the system, they knew they were all players. They were all seriously injured and unable to take care of themselves. After a few more glances at Chu Yun, they supported each other and walked back to the woods.
Chu Yun saw that the place where they settled was only a hundred meters away from them, and they would probably rest here for a few days. She silently picked up a full bucket of seafood and carried it back to the camp.
Xu Dongdong wondered why Sister Chuyun didn't put it in the storage ring and bring it back.
Chu Yun: "There's a group of four players coming about 100 meters away. Be careful. I'll go check the traps below and collect the prey."
Xu Dongdong: "Well, okay, come back soon!"
Xu Dongdong and Chu Yun agreed on a time, and if she didn't come back by then, he would go out to look for her. Although he knew Chu Yun was very powerful, this was a survival game, and there was no telling what difficulties he might encounter.
Chu Yun agreed, and a warm feeling surged in her heart, just like the feeling of being at home. In her previous two lives, she had no family. Except for her teammates at work, she had always been alone, and few people cared about whether she got home safely.
Today, she was lucky. Two of her seven traps had been found, and three had been broken. The prey were two pheasants, perfect for a chicken and mushroom stew with the mushrooms she had just picked. Chu Yun fixed the three broken traps and returned to her spot.
She didn't go any deeper, as she felt the deeper she went, the darker it became.
It's not the right time yet.
It was already 12 noon when we returned to the camp. The previously deserted beach was now full of life. Chu Yun spotted several wisps of smoke as he walked along.
Chu Yun was observing them, and they were also observing Chu Yun.
They came from the sea, and in order to save their lives, many supplies were left in the sea, which fully demonstrates the benefits of space props.
However, the probability of triggering space-type props is very low, and the known probability of a maze copy is one in one hundred thousand.
Space props are not bound to the individual, which means they can be plundered by other players, so every player who has space props must be extremely careful.
The same was true for Chu Yun. Although she had a high combat power, she didn't want to become a target of public criticism. Xu Dongdong was different from Yu Wenhao. Firstly, they were teammates, but more importantly, they lived in the same neighborhood. Even if the monk ran away, the temple couldn't escape. She didn't have to worry.
But in front of outsiders, she still has to pretend.
Chu Yun carried a pheasant in one hand and walked calmly towards his camp under the gazes of everyone.
Players hiding in the shadows and peeping discuss secretly.
"There must be a lot of game in the forest. Let's catch some tomorrow."
"Of course she did. Look, she caught two big ones. They're really fat."
"I don't think it should be that easy. Look, she arrived earlier than us. Anyone who can clear the raft dungeon early must be quite capable."
"Yes, look at her. Her steps are vigorous and her body is full of strength. You can tell she is a martial artist."
"I don't care. I have to catch her. If I don't, she'll starve to death! Look at her. She's not hurt at all. There must be no danger in there."
Chu Yun had no idea that her appearance had triggered a fierce round of fighting. She was completely unaware and was about to go back to prepare lunch with her teammates.
When they came back, Yu Wenhao had woken up, but his legs and feet were still inconvenient to walk. At Xu Dongdong's strong request, he lay down in the tent to rest.
"Thank you, Chuyun." Yu Wenhao sincerely thanked Chuyun. When he heard Xu Dongdong mention Chuyun's great achievements along the way, he admired her even more.
With her skills, there was no need to bring an injured burden with her. After all, this was exactly what happened to the other players she met on the raft. He initially rescued them, but they abandoned him without hesitation when they were injured protecting the raft. It was human nature for others to help you, and it was human nature for them not to help you. No one was wrong.
Chu Yun: "Don't thank me so early. I'm a capitalist who won't do anything without profit. You need to get well soon and do hard labor for me!"
Yu Wenhao looked at Chu Yun who was stubborn and couldn't help but smile and said, "Okay!"
Lunch was pheasant stewed with mushrooms. It was Xu Dongdong's first time making this dish, and Chu Yun was still there to guide him. He had quite a talent for cooking; when he first arrived, he barely knew how to use a kitchen knife, but now he's a master at plucking, chopping, and stir-frying, and he even wants to learn how to flip the wok.
After squeezing the fat out of the chicken, add the chicken and stir-fry until fragrant. Add a little mineral water and mushrooms, and a delicious chicken and mushroom stew is ready. Unobstructed, the aroma of meat wafts everywhere, sparking envy and jealousy from the surrounding players.
After lunch and an hour's rest, Chu Yun stayed behind to guard the camp. With more and more players on the beach, they had to be on guard. Xu Dongdong went outside to collect firewood and pick some wild vegetables. He wasn't very skilled, so Chu Yun told him to stay close by.
It was dark at night when Xu Dongdong came back with a bundle of firewood and a handful of wild vegetables, looking very worried.
"That group of players was really good. They followed me closely. When I collected firewood, they followed me. When I picked vegetables, they followed me. There were very few resources nearby to begin with, and now with so many people sharing the burden, I only managed to pick a small handful after an entire afternoon."
Chu Yun had anticipated this situation. After Xu Dongdong left, she saw the other teams each send a few people out with him. The island wasn't theirs to begin with, and they weren't looting or destroying anything; they were just following them to collect supplies. There was nothing much to say. However, given the situation, they had to plan to head deeper into the forest.
Another team of players came in the afternoon, but they were alone. He probably didn't want to deal with other players, so he camped somewhere a little further away.
After a quick dinner and a quick wash, Xu Dongdong changed Yu Wenhao's herbs and bandages before falling asleep. Yu Wenhao was still the patient, so Chu Yun would watch over him for the first half of the night, while Xu Dongdong would watch over him for the second. Yu Wenhao still felt very uncomfortable, feeling like a burden, and secretly vowed to get better soon and contribute to the team.
Late at night, Chu Yun went to the beach for a patrol and then returned to the camp. He heard rustling sounds from the tent in the distance, which did not seem to be from his own people.
Chu Yun held his breath, quickly returned to the camp, and hid behind the bushes.
"There must be supplies in the tent. Are you still going?" someone said softly.
"Why are you going? There's someone inside. What if we get caught? Just take this chicken and these seafood. Let's go back quickly. We don't know when that woman will come back!"
"Brother, what are you afraid of? It's just a woman, plus a cripple and a pretty boy. Can't the men in our team beat her?"
Well, someone stole the house while she was out. In order to prevent others from discovering that she had a storage ring, they put the supplies they collected openly in the camp, but they didn't expect that it would still attract envy.
In the tent, Yu Wenhao woke up from his dream when he heard some noise. His leg was not fully healed, and he was gritting his teeth to endure the pain and trying to support his body when he suddenly heard a few howls coming from outside.
Chu Yun appeared in front of the two men like a ghost, slid his left foot forward half a circle, and kicked with his right leg, bringing up flying sand, and kicked the man's neck accurately. Then, a fierce punch hit the other man's face vertically.
Before they could even see Chu Yun's moves, the two men were knocked to the ground with howls. Chu Yun stepped on one of them and asked condescendingly:
"Don't you dare come and steal things?"
The man whose face was stepped on whimpered and could not speak, while the other one begged for mercy in a hurry.
"Lady, lady, spare our lives. We won't dare to do it again. Please let us go!"
The more arrogant he was before, the more arrogant his attitude is now.
"Go away, don't let me see you again."
Chu Yun lifted his feet and waved his hands impatiently.
Upon hearing this, the two men immediately got up and ran back to their camp without looking back.
"Just go back to sleep, it's okay."
Chu Yun picked up the pheasant and seafood on the ground. Fortunately, the food was not spoiled.
The fourth day on the island is the last day of the raft survival dungeon.
As soon as Chu Yun got up, he went to the beach to pick up seafood. The sea water rose higher and higher, almost reaching the bushes, but the seafood that washed up seemed to be getting less and less. Chu Yun frowned as he looked at the bushes wet by the sea water.
As soon as Chu Yun appeared, the surrounding players rushed over. They picked up the seafood left on the ground as quickly as starving ghosts, and went to the other side after picking up all the seafood in one area.
Not far away, the sharp-eared Chu Yun heard someone seeming to be talking about her.
"Did you hear that howling last night?"
"I heard it, it's that woman. She's not to be trifled with. Two grown men were beaten like pigs."
"Shh, she's looking over here, pretending to be picking up seafood."
Chu Yun: “…”
After an hour and a lot of effort, Chu Yun only filled half the bucket.
When he returned to the camp carrying the iron bucket, Xu Dongdong was already preparing breakfast. He had just changed the medicine for Yu Wenhao. Yu Wenhao could now walk without support and would probably be fully recovered by tomorrow.
Chu Yun: "We are going to leave the beach and head inland tomorrow."
Yu Wenhao: "Okay, my legs are fine now."
Xu Dongdong: "Listen to Sister Chuyun."
By nightfall, there were nearly 10 teams stationed on this beach. There were nearly 30 players but only a handful of survival resources. Coupled with the increasingly high coastline, it seemed that leaving was urgent.
