The day before Lunar New Year's Eve, Cheng Qicai took Yun Suni to the county for a big shopping trip. They bought a lot of food, as well as couplets, small lanterns, and colored lights, planning to decorate the courtyard when they got back.
The tricycles went leisurely there and returned leisurely, fully loaded with all kinds of New Year's goods.
The two chatted happily about what to eat when they got home. When they arrived at their doorstep, she slowly drove the car into the yard and parked it.

Cheng Qicai glanced at her sideways and let out a cold laugh, "Heh..."
Once the food was cooked, Cheng Qicai figured the two of them had finished talking, so she went to the door and knocked, "Brother Lu, the food is ready."
After a moment of silence, Cheng Qicai heard a "Okay".
Cheng Qicai and Wu Jieyu brought the food in and handed the chopsticks to Lu Qi, saying, "Brother Lu, it's a bit simple, please make do with it."
Cheng Qicai greeted Lu Qi politely, secretly glancing at the two of them. She didn't sense the tense atmosphere she had seen downstairs at Yun Su Ni's house.
"No, it was me who disturbed you." Lu Qi took the chopsticks and started eating.
Cheng Qicai appeared to be quietly watching the TV program, but in reality, she was secretly observing the two of them.

When Cheng Qicai saw the two leave, she and Wu Jieyu immediately peered out the window to observe them secretly.
Lu Qi and Yun Su Ni stood in the courtyard, separated by a gap, looking at each other without saying a word for a long time.
