"Then let's take another route." Youyou opened the map and checked the route as she spoke. "There's a small path about fifty meters ahead. Let's go this way."
She pulled the girl with the water pipe to the side, looking at the map and carefully sensing the surrounding atmosphere. Suddenly, everything in the vicinity was clearly visible. The group wandered around in a maze of twists and turns, finally managing to leave the Xuan Yue Tower's territory.
Shuiyan was initially worried, but after narrowly avoiding several waves of pursuers, she remained silent and walked forward with the others. Only when she could no longer hear the noise of Xuan Yue Tower behind her did she turn around and glance at the tall building engulfed in flames, her eyes immediately stinging with tears.
"Where do we go next?" a girl asked softly, looking around at the pitch black surroundings with a frightened expression.
Shuiyan then came to her senses, took a deep breath, and said in a deep voice, "We'll go to the mountain on the east side of Xuan Yue Tower. There's a cave on the right side at the foot of the mountain. The people of Xuan Yue Tower have already discovered that we're missing, and they'll definitely close Mingyou Valley. We can only hide in the mountains for a while and wait for an opportunity."
As soon as she finished speaking, Youyou had already found the mountain on the map and started looking for the cave. "Girl, which cave are you talking about? The empty one on the left, or the one in the middle with the monster hiding inside, or the one on the far right that's hidden by grass and has three trees outside?"
Shuiyan was taken aback, then turned back to look at Youyou with even greater shock, but still replied, "It's... the one on the far right."
"That's the place with three trees, this way!" You nodded, habitually lit his water pipe, and started walking forward. Everyone followed without delay, and sure enough, they arrived smoothly at a cave.
The cave was very well hidden. Sure enough, there were three trees growing at the entrance. The entrance was small, only allowing one person to pass through at a time. But once inside, it was discovered that it was a karst cave with plenty of space and many interconnected passages, and no one knew exactly where it led.
Shuiyan summoned a ball of fire for illumination, then carefully surveyed the area before leading everyone in one direction. They walked for almost half an hour before finally stopping at a certain place.
She turned and touched something on the wall. A flash of light appeared beneath everyone's feet, as if it were an array. She then explained, "This is a concealment array. The terrain here is complex. Even if we are discovered, as long as we don't go out, we won't be able to find this place for a while." After speaking, she rummaged through the corner of the wall and pulled out something, which must have been prepared in advance, and distributed it to everyone. "These are fasting pills, enough to keep everyone here for three months."
"Three months!" someone exclaimed. "Are we...are we going to have to stay here for three months?"
Shuiyan nodded and said, "That's right. If we are not discovered, we may have a chance to escape from Mingyou Valley in three months when the guards outside relax their vigilance, or..." She glanced back at everyone, "when someone discovers that you are missing and comes looking for you here."
The crowd paled, their fear intensifying, yet they still spoke with hopeful expressions.
“Our family will definitely come looking for us.”
"Yes, and there's also the Immortal Sect. The Immortal Sect will definitely not abandon us."
"With so many people missing, the immortal sects must already know and will come to rescue us."
"That's right, someone will definitely come to rescue us..."
The more they spoke, the more certain they became, as if they were encouraging each other.
Only Shuiyan lowered her eyes, holding little hope that the Immortal Sect would find this place. After all, if Xuan Yue Lou dared to abduct noblewomen and female cultivators, they must have been prepared to cover their tracks and remain undetected. Moreover, she had been tortured by Xuan Yue Lou for five years, during which so many of her sisters died tragically without anyone coming to their rescue. This meant that the Immortal Sect was completely unaware of what was happening here; otherwise, they wouldn't have gone to such lengths to carry out such a plan. If even one of them could escape, they could notify the Immortal Sect.
She paused for a moment, then glanced at You You beside her. Recalling what had happened along the way, she couldn't help but ask, "This young lady, could she also be a member of the immortal sect?"
“Yes, I am from the True Transformation Sect, my name is You You!” You You nodded.
"True Yan Sect?" Shui Yan was taken aback. She had never heard of this sect before. She looked You You up and down. "Miss You, how did you become so familiar with the terrain here?" She had been in Xuan Yue Tower for many years and still didn't know the paths. The other woman even knew how many caves were on this mountain. "Could it be..." Her eyes lit up, and she looked at her expectantly.
"I have a map that's updated in real time, can you believe me?" Youyou was speechless, but still explained, "It's because I... I looked at a map of this place before, so I remember some of it."
"I see..." She lowered her head in disappointment. She had thought that she was sent by the immortal sect to rescue her, so she had scouted the terrain beforehand. Wasn't that the case?
"Don't worry!" Seeing her sorrowful expression, Youyou couldn't help but pat her shoulder. "We'll definitely escape safely! I promise!"
Shuiyan paused for a moment, gave her a somewhat forced smile, and still responded with a "Mm." After saying that, she stopped talking and closed her eyes to try and rest.
After the others had finished distributing the fasting pills, they sat down against the wall to rest, all with expressions of worry and fear.
Youyou was also a bit conflicted. According to Shuiyan, the Xuan Yue Tower was incredibly powerful, and there might be many experts inside. She was confident she could escape on her own; if necessary, she could just use her flying ability again. But with so many people around, she was worried. After all, she hadn't started learning any magic techniques yet, and the only things she knew were the game skills—she didn't know what the consequences would be.
