Liyue Manor, every day at the crack of dawn
In the pink-themed room, Chu Nanfeng sat casually on a sofa piled with dolls and cushions, his long legs crossed, watching Leng Ruxue sit in front of the dressing table applying makeup.
She spent a full hour applying a delicate and natural slightly tipsy makeup, her porcelain-white face flushed with a faint blush, her long golden curls falling naturally, making Leng Ruxue look like a delicate porcelain doll.
Having applied beautiful makeup, Leng Ruxue, wearing milky-white Crocs, stood with her hands on her hips, looking troubled at the clothes spread all over the bed.
"Chu Nanfeng, how about this one?"
Leng Ruxue picked up a pink and black striped sweater that covered her hips with her fair hands and held it up against herself before turning to Chu Nanfeng and asking a question.
Before Chu Nanfeng could answer, she frowned slightly, shook her head, and denied it to herself.
"No, no, this dress shows my legs, it would be inappropriate to meet my uncle and aunt."
She gently bit her fingertip, her gaze fixed on a white women's suit. Carrying the hanger, she ran to the mirror, tried it on, and frowned again.
Wearing a suit seemed too serious, and besides, she was petite and didn't have the powerful aura of Chu Liyue, so it didn't suit her.
She picked up several more pieces of clothing from the bed and ran back and forth between the full-length mirror and the bed, her forehead almost sweating, but she still couldn't find any clothes she liked.
It's either too revealing, the colors are too bright, or it doesn't suit her at all.
As time ticked by, she still couldn't choose an outfit. Leng Ruxue couldn't help but feel frustrated. She wanted to scratch her head in frustration, but she was afraid of messing up her carefully styled hair.
Her cautious yet dejected expression was quite adorable.
Two long, slender arms wrapped around her from behind, passing under her waist. A firm, strong chest pressed against her back, and the cool scent of pine resin, carrying a soothing quality, wafted into her nostrils.
Chu Nanfeng's gentle, low-pitched voice rang in her ear, its texture like a frosted glass, sending shivers down her spine.
“Ah Xue looks beautiful in anything, just wear whatever you like, don’t be nervous.”
The hot breath brushed against her ear, causing Leng Ruxue's heart to tremble involuntarily. She fiddled with her fingers, still hesitant and frustrated, and finally spoke:
“Grandpa, uncles and aunts are the most important relatives to you and the eldest child. This is my first time visiting, so I can’t just go casually.”
Sensing Leng Ruxue's seriousness and nervousness about the meeting, Chu Nanfeng's heart softened even more. He turned her around, straightened her up, and pressed her down to sit on the bed.
Chu Nanfeng knelt down, meeting her gaze, and gently stroked her beautiful long, curly hair. His eyebrows were slightly curved, his expression gentle, and he said seriously:
“Ah Xue, I’ve told you many times already, my grandfather and parents aren’t the stubborn kind of people.”
"I've already made it clear to them that you are my only girlfriend. Once you reach the appropriate age, I will marry you and get a marriage certificate. No one can change that!"
"So don't be too nervous, just be your most authentic and natural self, and trust me, they will like you."
A warm current flowed through her heart, and tears welled up in Leng Ruxue's eyes. After a moment, she gently squeezed Chu Nanfeng's tie with her small hand, her voice as sweet and soft as a kitten's:
"I know, but I just can't help feeling a little nervous."
After a moment's hesitation, her gaze towards Chu Nanfeng became slightly evasive, and she said with a hint of inner conflict:
"Besides, we haven't been dating for very long. Isn't it too hasty for me to come over like this?"
Chu Nanfeng raised an eyebrow slightly, his rough hand gently pinching her delicate chin as he looked into her eyes. His deep, sharp gaze seemed to pierce through people's hearts.
"Ah Xue, I'm asking you this one last time, do you really like me?"
Seeing his unusually serious expression, Leng Ruxue nodded repeatedly.
"Would you like to spend the rest of your life with me?"
Leng Ruxue said shyly, "How can you ask such questions for no reason?"
A hint of shyness appeared in her eyes; she gently punched his chest with her small fist and bit her lip.
"You've taken advantage of me countless times, and you still ask, 'Will...willing?'"
A low, pleasant laugh escaped his throat as Chu Nanfeng cupped her delicate face in his hands, speaking gently yet earnestly:
"That's enough."
"Ah Xue, time is never the problem, the important thing is to understand your own heart."
"Many wealthy and noble families engage in various political and commercial marriages for the sake of interests, but the two people still spend their whole lives together without any feelings and just wasting their days."
Her eyes shimmered with tears, and Leng Ruxue blushed slightly as she nodded gently under Chu Nanfeng's warm and gentle gaze.
A surge of heat rose in his heart. Gazing at her charming, shy, and sweet appearance, Chu Nanfeng could not suppress the burning desire in his heart. He suddenly stood up, pressed down on her shoulders, and leaned down.
In the early morning, amidst the lingering, sticky atmosphere of the room, a soft, gentle voice, tinged with shy resistance, drifted out:
"Um...we can't kiss anymore."
"No, my makeup will run..."
*
At 9:30 in the morning, Chu Nanfeng led Leng Ruxue out of the room.
Leng Ruxue's lips were slightly swollen and red. She wore a light yellow cardigan over a white gauze skirt, looking charming, cute, and naturally pure.
In the living room, Xiao Wujie, who had been sitting on the sofa waiting for a long time, looked at the two of them and couldn't help but smile, teasingly saying:
"It is often said that the plan for the day is made in the morning, and the ancients were right."
"Big Brother and Sister Ruxue have such rosy complexions and are radiant."
Upon hearing this, Leng Ruxue's pretty face flushed red. She pinched Chu Nanfeng's lower back in annoyance, while simultaneously glaring at Xiao Wujie, who was wearing a teasing smile.
"What nonsense are you spouting, you little kid?"
Xiao Wujie curled his lips but did not reply.
