Chapter 317 Dream (High-Intensity Angst Version)

In the darkness, the wild roar of engines filled the air.

The silver sports car sped through the night like a lightning bolt.

Chu Liyue gripped the steering wheel tightly with her slender hands, pressing the accelerator pedal to the floor.

The night outside the window flashed by like a streak of light, the interplay of light and shadow on her exquisite face, making it difficult to discern her expression, only her pair of cold eyes were clearly visible.

A chilling smile permeated the air.

A silent smile suddenly appeared on her lips as she gazed ahead. The night horizon was so low that all the breath and sound in the darkness seemed to be squeezed together, unable to escape.

It was like a huge stone lodged in her heart, suffocating her.

It's like there's a huge hole that's going to suck her in, never letting her land. If she reaches out to grab on, she can't grab anything.

They could only be swallowed, tumbled, and fell endlessly, in a state of perpetual darkness.

She used all her strength to barely breathe into her lungs, her heart was being choked, and her hands began to spasm and twitch.

She was surrounded by an impenetrable, thick darkness of night.

Her vision suddenly began to blur, and darkness enveloped her.

With a loud "boom," a tremendous impact resounded.

A handsome face suddenly appeared before her eyes. She closed her eyes and murmured, "My darling."

I miss you.

The following day, a news item briefly went viral: In the suburbs, a woman suspected to be Chu Liyue, the eldest daughter of the Chu family, crashed her luxury sports car into a roadside obstacle, overturned, and the driver was injured and unconscious.

However, this trending topic disappeared without a trace as soon as it appeared, as if a powerful hand had forcibly suppressed it from behind.

Darkness, endless darkness.

An image flashed through the darkness—

In the dimly lit room, the stunningly handsome man, his face pale, sat under the lamplight, writing something.

After finishing writing, he put away the letter, his face turned pale, he vomited blood, and collapsed at the table.

He was helped to bed, trembling with pain. His eyes, filled with endless hope and sorrow, looked towards the door.

A needle pierced my heart, and a spasmodic convulsion sensation swept over me.

You're looking for me, right?

*

The man, breathtakingly beautiful, looked at her lying on the hospital bed, his eyes reddening.

He picked her up and nuzzled against her affectionately, wisps of golden energy emanating from his slender body and seeping into her.

He was in great pain, his brows furrowed and his lips bitten.

In that instant, she clearly saw that his hair had turned white.

What are those things? Why do you feel pain? Why do your hair turn white?

Stop! Stop right there!

Sadness overwhelmed her like a tidal wave, making her feel as if she were being held underwater, suffocating and unable to pull herself out.

Why don't you stop? Aren't you the one who listens to me the most? I'm telling you to stop, I'm begging you, please stop.

Fool, do you know that's your life?

*

He stood up, kissed her, and a few strands of white hair floated on his forehead.

He looked at her with lingering affection, but still resolutely turned away.

It seems like she knows where he's going?

A massive panic swept over us, chilling our souls and making our hearts tremble.

She wanted to call out to him, to grab him.

Come back! Don't go! You're not allowed to leave!

I'll coax you, I'll hug you, I'll spoil you, and I'll pluck the stars from the sky for you if you want them!

Don't go!

*

When I looked up again, the scene was one of swirling snow.

A huge crack appeared in the sky, with thunder surging on one side and purple light shining brightly on the other.

He was surrounded by silver light, like a god descending to earth or an emperor in a sick state.

With a flick of the finger, billions of thunderbolts poured down like raging dragons.

The old witch struggled to stay afloat, coughing up blood, and was on the verge of death.

However, a figure appeared on the shore—"her" figure.

She saw it; the old witch, using a strand of her hair, transformed herself into a seamless replica of her.

She laughed, a low, sinister laugh, a ferocious and vicious laugh.

She smiled and opened her arms, mimicking her tone as she spoke: "My darling."

She screamed, screamed hysterically, "That's not me! That's not me!"

Don't look back!

But he still turned around.

The knife was plunged into his abdomen, and his eyes reddened.

The old witch laughed wildly and unrestrainedly, as if she had gone mad.

The knife flipped open a bloody hole in his abdomen, and his long, sharp fingernails left a gruesome bloodstain on his flawless face.

His figure swayed gracefully as he landed.

You figured it out, didn't you? You figured it out!

But why did you turn back?

She used me as a knife, and you just stupidly ran into it!

How could you be so silly?

She saw him reach into the bloody hole in his abdomen, conjure a blood sword, and with his last ounce of strength, stab the old witch.

In an instant, her whole body felt cold; she couldn't imagine how much pain it must have caused.

Her eyes were brimming with tears, and she wanted to say, "It's not worth it for me."

He was exhausted, and his body swayed and fell, with sharp rocks below.

She felt like she was going crazy; she desperately wanted to hug him and catch him.

don't want!

With a crisp sound of bones breaking, her heart, like the broken bones, shattered completely from top to bottom along the lines.

*

The ending of the scene, the end of the dream.

He lay in a pool of blood, his long, blood-stained eyelashes trembling slightly, his eyes filled with crimson, tears of blood streaming down his face, his lips quivering:

"elder sister."

The image froze at this moment.

Her heart was instantly torn apart; the pain transcended physical sensations and penetrated to the very marrow of her bones, striking the depths of her soul.

She went to hug him, embrace him, and kiss him.

She screamed, she cried, she was hysterical.

Why are you so stupid?

Just for me.

One of them even shook me, making me distrust you.
