I didn't pay any attention and just stood not far from the stove, watching the chef prepare the food.

Before long, another dish was almost ready. Looking at the brightly colored and flavorful braised beef brisket in the pot, I swallowed hard and asked, "May I have a taste?"

The chef smiled at me in a friendly manner, revealing two large, white front teeth; he looked extremely honest and kind.

The chef handed me a pair of chopsticks, and I instinctively reached for them with my right hand. My right hand was then exposed to the chef's eyes, and it was too late to pull my hand back.

Oh my god, how could I be so stupid... I looked at the hideous wound on my fair right palm and wanted to cry but couldn't.

The chef's honest smile remained unchanged as he handed me the chopsticks. His hands were twice the size of mine, instantly covering mine.

I looked up at the chef, but his expression didn't change at all, and he showed no curiosity about the wound on my hand. I felt relieved, thinking that this chef was probably someone who didn't like to cause trouble.

My tense heart relaxed, and I took the chopsticks with a relaxed expression, ready to quickly taste the beef brisket.

Huh?!

Where is my wound?

The several gruesome wounds on my palms just moments ago have vanished without a trace, as if they had never existed.

I glanced at the chef in shock, wanting to ask him a question, but afraid of disturbing the wisteria in the living room.

The chef, seeing my shocked expression, still smiled憨厚ly and pointed to the stewing beef brisket on the pot, gesturing for me to try it.

I have no appetite for food right now!

The chef, however, persisted and pointed to the beef brisket in the pot. I had no choice but to suppress my shock and focus my gaze on the beef brisket in the pot.

This... the beef brisket is still the same beef brisket, still with an exceptional color and flavor, making one's mouth water.

On the beef brisket, several large characters were written in white mist.

"I was sent by Fei Yan."

I gave the honest-looking chef in front of me a complicated look. Fei Yan was really efficient; she had arranged for him to be by my side in less than a day.

After the chef confirmed that I had seen it, he glanced at the beef brisket on the pot again, and the large characters written in the steam instantly dispersed and disappeared into the air.

I picked up a piece of beef brisket with my chopsticks and put it in my mouth. Mmm, not bad, really delicious.

"It smells so good," I exclaimed, then put down my chopsticks and hurried back to the living room.

"Imperial Consort, is she better than before?" Zi Teng looked at me, a rare occurrence, as I came out and she took her eyes off the television.

I glanced at the TV, and sure enough, the opening credits were playing.

"Mmm, it smells amazing," I nodded in approval.

Zifang laughed heartily, "That's right, I personally inspected it, it's absolutely reliable."

"You're the best," I said with a smile, praising Wisteria before returning to my own room.

Now that Fei Yan's people have arrived, how should I hand over the items to them?

I closed the door and stood against it, staring at the wardrobe.

I gritted my teeth and decided to take these bottles and jars to the kitchen and hand them over to the chef while Fei Yan was watching TV.

But how am I supposed to carry all those bottles and jars? What if I make a noise and the wisteria hears me?

Okay, I'll just grab one bottle first. One bottle is a smaller target and safer.

With that in mind, I reached into my pocket, pulled out a bottle, and put it inside my body, listening intently to the sounds coming from the living room.

The opening theme has ended, and it's time for the main program. I'm sure Wisteria is focused on the TV series and won't be watching me.
