"Chang Xi, let's go back."

"Isn't Emperor Xin going to see the Goddess of the Luo River?" Chang Xi looked at the faint light and turned to ask me.

I shook my head. "No need, let's go back."

"good."

After I returned to Taihui Palace, the palace servants who were guarding the palace reported that You still had not returned.

I ate dinner alone, took a shower, and lay on the empty bed. You still hadn't returned.

I touched the empty other side, feeling like something was missing. Usually, You would hold me close while we slept, and sometimes I felt she hugged me too tightly, preventing me from comfortably opening my arms and legs. But now…

I sniffed, and even though I didn't intend to cry, tears involuntarily streamed down my face. I wiped them away with my hand and muttered a curse at myself for being so pathetic. You had only been gone for a day, and I was already crying.

The more I despised myself for being useless, the more my tears disobeyed me, soaking my pillow on their own.

Perhaps I was too immersed in my own sadness, because I didn't notice that You had already returned and was squatting by the bed until a pair of cool hands wiped away the tears on my face.

"I was just out working all day, why are you crying? Did someone bully you? Hmm?"

You's deep, magnetic voice rang in my ears, and I couldn't help but throw myself into his arms. It had only been a day since we last met, but it felt like a century had passed.

I smelled the familiar fragrance emanating from You and felt her body temperature. I steadied myself and asked, "Where did you go?"

You gently patted me again and again, saying tenderly, "I went to the place where they found Liu Lieyu today, and then I remembered that you love eating human snacks, so I went to the human world again to bring you some snacks." As You spoke, she waved her hand, and suddenly a pile of various snacks as high as a small mountain appeared in front of her.

"So many!" I stared blankly at the snacks in front of me. There were just too many! And they were all my favorite snacks. When would I ever finish eating them all?

"Are you happy now?" You chuckled and rubbed my head before reaching out to grab a bag of potato chips, opening it, and putting a chip in my mouth.

I ate the potato chips You fed me, feeling incredibly happy inside, but I still stubbornly said, "Don't think you can coax me with snacks."

"What do I have to do to get your forgiveness?"

"Why did you leave without saying a word this morning? And last night I couldn't sleep at all, and you didn't care about me at all."

"Xin'er, I'm sorry. I didn't know how to comfort you last night. I saw you were still angry with me this morning and didn't want to talk to me, so I went to investigate Liu Lieyu's matter. That's why I came to apologize tonight." You smiled as she apologized to me and fed me a potato chip.

"Hmph." I finished my potato chips and snorted coldly without saying a word, afraid that I would ruin my composure if I opened my mouth.

"Xin'er, didn't you always want to leave the Heavenly Court with me?"

“Yes.” I nodded. “But you keep dragging your feet. I don’t think you really want to leave the Heavenly Court.”

You listened to my words and remained silent for a long time. Then she put the potato chips on the bedside table again, took my hand, looked at me solemnly, and said, "Xin'er, I am willing to leave the Heavenly Court with you. If you are willing, we can set off now."

"What?" I couldn't believe it and pinched myself hard to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

Why did You suddenly change so much?
