Has Wisteria lost her memory?! Or was last night really just a dream?!
"You told me this in my room last night. You said your aunt found out and is coming to see me today." I said quickly, gesturing wildly as I tried to bring Zi Teng back to her memory.
Wisteria just looked at me blankly. "Your Majesty, what are you talking about? I went back to rest early yesterday. How did I end up in your room?"
I suddenly felt as if all my strength had been drained, and I slumped into the chair. Was it all just a dream?
Zi Teng laughed heartily, "Your Majesty, I was just teasing you. Look how scared you are. My aunt will be here soon."
Are you kidding me? I immediately perked up, sat up, and scratched the wisteria a couple of times, saying angrily, "You know perfectly well that you're kidding me."
Wisteria giggled as she dodged my attack, saying, "I won't do it again, I won't do it again."
I scratched for a while, then stopped. If I kept making a fuss, all that effort of dressing up would be for nothing.
"Your Majesty, I'll go get you some snacks." Wisteria cheerfully bowed slightly.
"Mm." I nodded.
Actually, when Wisteria said she was going to serve, she meant that she took the snacks that had already been prepared in the kitchen from another servant at my door and carefully placed them on the table.
I wanted to take some snacks from the plate, but then I remembered that other people would be coming later, so I gave up.
"Greetings, Lord Fei Yan." The servants' orderly voices came from the doorway.
I was overjoyed, but also a little nervous. Fei Yan had arrived! What if she refused to cooperate with me later? Wouldn't that mean all my last hope was gone?
"I heard you were looking for me?" Fei Yan stood at the doorway as soon as she entered, not coming in but just looking at me from afar, her eyes conveying disgust.
"Yes." I smiled and said, "Feiyan, come in."
"Who's your sister?" Fei Yan frowned. "Say what you have to say here, I have something to do later."
I had no choice but to lower my voice and mouth to Fei Yan, "Fei Yan, do you want to be with Liu Lieyu? Can I help you?"
Fei Yan stared at me with suspicion and sneered, "Help me? Your Majesty should help yourself first."
I remained unfazed. "Why should I help myself first? The outside world must be in complete chaos right now." I noticed a new scar on Fei Yan's calf. "No matter how chaotic the outside world is, I can still enjoy my snacks and the scenery without having to fight on the battlefield."
Fei Yan sneered, "Do you think I'd be envious of you saying that? You're nothing but a caged canary."
I gritted my teeth and said again, "Don't you want to be with Liu Lieyu? You've been in love with her for so many years, and now the opportunity is right in front of you."
Fei Yan glanced at me indifferently, a hint of disappointment in her eyes. "Nu Xin, it's been so many years, you've really surprised me."
I naturally noticed Fei Yan's gaze, but I didn't have time to think about it; I had to persuade Fei Yan to help me.
"Fei Yan, I can help you be with Liu Lieyu. Isn't this something you've been doing for years...?"
Before I could finish speaking, Fei Yan interrupted me, "I don't have time to listen to your boring nonsense. Maybe you have nothing better to do. I'm very busy." Fei Yan said this and turned away.
The moment Fei Yan stepped out of the room, she suddenly stopped. "By the way, Donghuang hasn't been looking for you lately, has he?" Fei Yan smiled gently. "I've been seeing Donghuang quite often lately, fighting together." With that, Fei Yan left just as she had come.
Zifang stared at Fei Yan's departing figure, her mouth agape in astonishment, "Is this really my aunt?"
