"Still not untied?" Liu Lieyu's deep voice suddenly rang out in the room.
"No." I shook my head, and suddenly a fair hand landed on my leg. I looked up along the arm and saw a familiar face.
Liu Lieyu frowned. "Has it been so long, and there hasn't been any progress at all?"
I didn't respond; Qianxi was busy researching and taking notes and wouldn't pay any attention to Liu Lieyu.
Liu Lieyu was well aware of Qian Xi's temper when she got serious, and he didn't care whether anyone paid attention to him or not. He sneered and mocked, "If you had used the same effort you had to avoid me back then to break the curse, you wouldn't still be unable to break it now."
I lowered my head, trying to make myself less noticeable.
It seems that Liu Lieyu still has a lingering memory of that month or so back then, and now he wants to bring it up again.
I was looking down at my fair hands when Liu Lieyu suddenly called out to me, so I had no choice but to put on a smiling face.
"The ceremonial robes for the ceremony are ready. Would you like to try them on?"
"A formal dress?" I was surprised to realize that more than two months had passed, and judging by the time, Fei Yan was almost finished preparing it.
Liu Lieyu nodded, "When they presented it today, I took a look at it and it was quite good. I brought it here specifically for you to try."
"OK."
With a wave of his hand, Liu Lieyu produced a black wooden box on the table. The box was embroidered with a dragon in gold thread. I touched the dragon's head, and the raised lines flowed across my fingertips.
This dragon? The more I look at it, the more it looks like me.
"This dragon was embroidered by the embroiderers based on your likeness."
Huh, it really is me?!
"Go give it a try," Liu Lieyu said, picking up the black box from the table with one hand and pulling me into the bedroom with the other.
The analysis is still stuck in the same place, writing and drawing, remaining in their own world.
Why did Liu Lieyu have to come with me? I swallowed hard, a hint of panic in my eyes.
"Just leave it here, I'll change it myself, or I can have Huanzi come and I'll change it for you."
Liu Lieyu ignored me and placed the box on the bed before opening it.
Just as I was about to say something, my gaze was suddenly drawn to the red wedding dress in the black box.
With a red base and silver accents, flowing patterns cover the entire wedding dress, and this silver is different from ordinary silver threads, resembling starlight under the night sky.
"I want to personally dress my wife in it." Liu Lieyu's fair and slender fingers caressed the magnificent wedding dress.
What? That sentence pulled me back to reality.
I twisted my hands and said, "This is so embarrassing, I'll do it myself." After saying that, I reached into the box to take the wedding dress.
Liu Lieyu grabbed my outstretched hand and pulled me in front of him with a force. "What's there to be embarrassed about? You've met everyone you need to."
My face flushed red, and I cursed Liu Lieyu, that scoundrel, in my heart.
"Come on, let me help you take it off." Liu Lieyu said, and his hand moved to my waist to unbutton my clothes. I reflexively covered my skirt with my hand.
"Hmm?" Liu Lieyu's fair hand paused slightly, he hummed softly, and his gaze moved from my waist to my face as he looked at me.
My face flushed crimson, my heart pounding with inner turmoil. If I refused, wouldn't all this acting over the past few days have been for nothing? After all, the original owner of this body and Liu Lieyu had slept together countless times, and now I'm pretending to have a change of heart and love him again, yet I won't even change my clothes... Wouldn't that give me away completely?
Liu Lieyu is smart enough not to miss it.
I said awkwardly, "Oh dear, it's so embarrassing in broad daylight."
