We rode in the same chariot we had come in, the only difference being that the chariot now had a shallow section on it.
The divine chariot stopped in front of my palace, and Huanzi came forward to greet us.
"Donghuang, the Empress." Huanzi's gaze flashed with a hint of amazement in Qianxi's eyes behind me, but quickly returned to its usual calm.
"How long have we been walking?" I asked, eagerly voicing my biggest curiosity.
"Five days."
Rounded up, it equals one week.
I lost track of time and felt tired, but when I heard that I had stayed in the bamboo house in Qianxi for five days, I was overwhelmed with aches and pains, hunger and exhaustion.
I rubbed my eyes. "I'm going to sleep."
Liu Lieyu nodded slightly, and I watched him leave with a hint of unease. I silently took a few steps away from Liu Lieyu.
I sighed inwardly, "Look how scared Liu Lieyu has become of that child."
I yawned, collapsed onto the bed, wrapped myself in the blanket, and drifted off to sleep.
When I woke up again, Liu Lieyu and Qian Xi were nowhere to be seen, and only Huanzi was standing obediently in the living room.
"You don't have to stand all the time; you can sit on the sofa and rest for a while."
“That’s against the rules,” Huanzi said calmly.
Without saying anything more, I sat on the sofa and asked, "Where are Liu Lieyu and Qian Xi?"
"Donghuang is busy. Qianxi is in his bamboo house. Should we go and call him over?"
A bamboo house? I wonder where Liu Lieyu placed the bamboo house he had Qianxi in.
"No need, I'll go find him myself."
Huanzi bowed slightly and stepped forward to help me. As soon as I stepped out of the room, sure enough, the person guarding me at the door followed me again.
Just as I was about to ask Huanzi which direction to go, I looked up and saw the conspicuous bamboo building standing opposite my palace.
Wait a minute, wasn't this a palace before?
"What about the old palace?"
"The Eastern Emperor personally moved it, making room specifically for this young master."
I glanced at Qianxi's bamboo house a few times, then looked away and turned back to my room. I was just curious to see where Qianxi was, but I had no intention of voluntarily sending myself to him to be his guinea pig.
I sat on the sofa, watching TV absentmindedly, glancing every now and then at Huanzi, who was standing properly to the side.
I don't know whether Huanzi is Liu Lieyu's or Fei Yan's person, and I dare not ask rashly lest I alert them.
As the days went by, Liu Lieyu would make time to come and keep me company every day.
Qianxi has been coming to my place quite frequently. I remember the first time Qianxi came to my place, she panicked for a long time when she saw a large group of people at the door, but she is much better now.
This time, Qianxi brought a bunch of medicines and instruments that I couldn't understand and laid them out on the table. She held my hand and fiddled with them for a long time, while muttering some incantations that I couldn't understand either.
I handed my hand to Qianxi as if it were second nature, letting him do whatever he wanted. The first few times Qianxi came, I was nervous for a long time, afraid that the Green Silk Curse would be broken.
I've come here more than a dozen times now, and the Green Silk Curse is still firmly inside my body.
Sure enough, after fiddling around for a while, Qianxi let go of my hand, frowned, and picked up a pen to write something in her notebook.
I withdrew my hand, propped my head up, and looked at the handwriting on the small notebook. "Failed again?"
He didn't even look up, completely immersed in his own world.
I've already experienced Qianxi's indifferent attitude. Don't be fooled by Qianxi's shyness and silly smile. Once she gets involved in something she's good at, she's like a different person. Her childish and shy temperament disappears and is replaced by a serious and earnest Qianxi.
