The mirror is broken? What a coincidence! I have a feeling something's not right.

"How did the mirror break? It was fine when Liu Lieyu and I came last time, wasn't it?" I said, while observing Wu's expression, not missing a single change in her expression.

“It broke after you used it last time.” After saying that, Wu stretched out his palm, and a mirror floated on his palm.

Upon closer inspection, I noticed several cracks had appeared on the smooth surface of the mirror.

"How could this be?" I looked away, surprised.

It seems the mirror really is broken.

"I don't know." Wu's lips curled up slightly, forming a strange arc. "Perhaps he saw something he shouldn't have seen."

My heart skipped a beat, my throat tightened, and I asked dryly, "Your mirror is so powerful, is there anything it can't see?"

Wu put on a gentle, harmless smile, his eyes drifting aimlessly. "I don't know."

Does "no" mean it means it knows or doesn't know?

I was completely baffled by Wu's attitude. First, the mirror broke, and then he said I saw something I shouldn't have seen.

The scales in my heart kept tipping back and forth, and I was torn about what to do.

Suddenly, Wu leaned close to me and whispered in my ear, "You're not happy in Guixu."

I gave a dry laugh. "How could I not be happy? I'm an imperial concubine. So many people serve me every day, and I eat and drink well. Liu Lieyu is also very good to me."

"You don't like Liu Lieyu, but you still deeply love Youyuan."

"Don't talk nonsense!"

Wu Hu chuckled lightly, "Didn't you ever think about killing Liu Lieyu?"

I was completely bewildered. I looked up at the nothingness in front of me. What was he saying?

Her white hair fluttered in the wind, and a faint smile played at the corners of her mouth.

I swallowed hard. "What are you talking about?"

"It's nothing, Your Majesty, please go back. I'm powerless to help you right now." With that, Wu turned and walked towards her room.

I watched Wu's receding figure, my brows furrowed.

Why are they all so difficult to deal with?

"The Empress?" Huanzi saw me in a daze and waved her hand in front of my eyes.

I came to my senses, and the courtyard was empty; Wu was nowhere to be seen.

"Let's go back," I whispered, turning my gaze away.

On my way back, I kept thinking about how to tell Fei Yan.

When I first met Wu, he didn't let Huanzi in. But I don't know when Huanzi went in later.

But one thing I'm sure of is that Huanzi wasn't there when Wu spoke to me, otherwise how could Wu have dared to say such rebellious things?

If I only tell Fei Yan that Wu's mirror is broken and he can't see, the plan will still proceed as scheduled. But if I tell him the whole story, I'm not sure if Fei Yan will still act according to the plan.

Oh my god, what should I do? This is my only way to escape...

"Your Majesty, what did Wu say to you? You've been so listless." Huanzi suddenly spoke up beside me.

I snapped out of my reverie and smiled faintly, "I didn't say anything, the mirror just broke." For some reason, I reflexively replied with that.

"I see." Huanzi nodded gently, then looked away from me and continued looking ahead.

I lowered my eyes and said, "I'm sorry, Fei Yan."

This is the only way I can escape from Liu Lieyu; I can't give up.

My hand was clenched into a fist, and my thumb nail left a deep mark on my index finger.

I never realized before how selfish I was, but I had no other choice.

I hope everything goes smoothly and there is a happy ending for me, You, Fei Yan, and Liu Lieyu.
