Two hundred and fifty

I carefully observed Fei Yan's temperament and figure, and I must say, she really does have some of the charm that Nv Xin used to have.

“I don’t know your current behavior or habits either,” Fei Yan said, while also sizing me up.

That's true. I've only met Fei Yan a few times. Even though Fei Yan's people are all around me and can relay messages, it's still not as good as seeing it for myself.

"Why don't you disguise yourself as a servant and observe me for a few days?" I said, a plan forming in my mind.

"What if Donghuang finds out?"

"How could that be? You saw it yourself, there are so many people around me, why would Liu Lieyu care?"

Fei Yan lowered her eyes, thought for a moment, and nodded in agreement.

"Okay, then I'll be going." I waved goodbye to Fei Yan. "I'll go find Wu tomorrow, so don't panic."

Fei Yan nodded, her words cold but tinged with a hint of defiance, "If you're not worried, why should I be?"

When I came out, the people outside were still standing tall at the gate of Fei Yan's palace. I looked around and they all looked very energetic.

Huanzi accompanied me inside, and we entered Fei Yan's palace. The people below didn't dare to ask me anything, but I wondered if they would tell Liu Lieyu behind my back.

"Let's go." Huanzi carefully helped me onto the divine carriage.

Once I was seated, the divine chariot steadily drove toward my palace.

I lowered my eyes, picked at my nails, and glanced at the bright moon in the night sky. I wondered how long such days would last.

As soon as I entered the room, I looked around and found that Liu Lieyu was indeed not there. Had something happened in Hell?

Forget it, it doesn't seem like it anymore. What does hell have to do with me? My most important thing now is to escape from here.

After washing up, I lay in bed and started thinking about You again. You, when will you come back?

The next morning, I quickly washed up, put on some simple clothes, and went out to look for Wu.

I had no place to stay. Liu Lieyu took me there once before, but I had completely forgotten about it. Fortunately, I had the reliable Huanzi by my side.

All I had to do was catch up on sleep on the divine chariot, and when I woke up, I was back at the place Liu Lieyu had brought me to last time.

Yesterday, Fei Yan and the others clearly didn't know anything about Wu, but they found out her exact address in just one night. Their work efficiency is really good. No wonder Fei Yan put her by my side.

"Your Majesty, I'll go knock on the door."

"No need." I waved my hand and got off the chariot. "I'll knock myself."

I knocked once, and the door opened, revealing a striking white head of hair behind it.

"Imperial Consort, what brings you here today?" Wu smiled faintly, his smile unlike anyone else's. You could see him smiling, but his eyes and brows showed no emotion whatsoever.

"I need your help with something today."

"Oh?" Wu opened the door and stepped aside to invite me in.

"No, I know you have a mirror. May I borrow it to take a look?"

"What would the Empress Dowager like to see?"

I looked myself over and noticed that my mirror, which I always carried with me, was not with me today.

"I want to see my parents in the mortal world; I miss them."

Wu remained silent, and I assumed he was unaware of my mortal past, so I began to explain, "I dispersed my divine power, shed my immortal body, and entered the mortal realm." However, before I could finish speaking, Wu interrupted me.

"I know."

"Can I borrow it to take a look?" I asked tentatively.

"Your Majesty, it's really unfortunate. My mirror has been having some problems lately, and I'm currently having it recast."

"Recast?"

Without nodding, he said, "I'm sorry, but once I've repaired the mirror, I will personally come to let the Empress have her fill of it."
