I listened to Fei Yan's words, but I still felt that something was wrong.

Where is it? I suddenly covered my mouth and looked at Fei Yan in horror.

Seeing my horrified expression, Fei Yan frowned. "Nu Xin, are you dragging your feet because you've changed your mind?"

Go back on your word? How could I possibly go back on my word? Anyone who wants a man like Liu Lieyu can have him; I certainly don't!

"No." I quickly shook my head, tugged at Fei Yan's arm, and whispered in her ear, "Do you know Wu?"

"None?" Fei Yan looked slightly confused, but quickly regained her composure. "Is it white hair?"

“Exactly.” I nodded. Could Liu Lieyu be using Wu’s mirror to watch us? Or has Wu been watching my every move? A cold sweat broke out on my back.

"Do you know he has a mirror?" I whispered in Fei Yan's ear in almost the softest voice I'd ever used.

"What?" Fei Yan didn't hear me clearly and frowned at me. "What exactly are you trying to say?"

Forget it, if they were really watching, they would have heard everything by now. There's no point in trying to hide it now.

"There is no mirror that can reflect all things in the world."

Fei Yan fell silent, her pupils dilating instantly as she looked at me in disbelief. Fei Yan and I remained silent in perfect unison.

Fei Yan clenched her fair hands into fists, the veins on the back of her hands bulging. After a long while, she spoke again, "I set up a barrier."

I shook my head. "It's no use."

Fei Yan remained silent, tapping the table repeatedly.

I rubbed my forehead, wiping away the sweat, and gritted my teeth, saying, "If I had really seen it, I would have known everything already. There's no use in panicking and trying to cover it up now."

Fei Yan looked up, her usually clear eyes somewhat unfocused. "What do you suggest we do now?"

I took Fei Yan's icy hand in mine and whispered, "Go do what you need to do. Today, I'll tell you everything."

"Still want to talk?" Fei Yan looked at me in a panic, her eyes filled with fear.

"Speak!" I steeled myself.

Now it was Fei Yan's turn to be unwilling. "Why don't you go back first and let me think of a solution?"

"Think of a solution, and finish it in one go."

"But, but what if Donghuang already knows?" Fei Yan panicked and didn't know where to put her hands when she mentioned Donghuang.

"Don't panic," I reassured Fei Yan. "There's no use panicking now."

Fei Yan sighed, slumped into a chair, and took another gulp of wine. "Nü Xin, could Donghuang be watching us all along?"

To be honest, I'm not sure either. I'm sure I can't beat Ryu Lie-woo in terms of cunning and acting skills, but should I give up such a long-standing plan just because of this uncertainty?

I can't do it. I don't want to stay in Guixu or by Liu Lieyu's side for even a second.

"I'll go find out from Wu tomorrow."

"Isn't this too deliberate?" Fei Yan tilted her head to look at me.

"I will go to Wu and say that I want to see my parents in the mortal world. I will be careful." I already had a little plan in mind.

"Come on, I'll tell you the rest of the details. Make sure you remember them well." With that, I drank another cup of tea and began to explain to Fei Yan.

I kept rambling on and on at the Feiyan Palace until almost midnight.

"Phew, I've finally finished talking." I stretched.

"What else do you want to ask?" I pinched my neck and turned to look at Fei Yan.

Fei Yan pondered for a moment, then said, "That's all."

"Okay, remember it well." I stood up. "By the way, you have to learn all my postures and movements."

Fei Yan looked me up and down, and after a long while, she said, "I could imitate you before, but now..."

Now? What's wrong now? Isn't she a perfectly fine girl now?
