Chapter 389

This is my first time visiting Yuejiao's home.

Grand and imposing houses, with blue bricks and white tiles.

You and I appeared in front of the Yue residence hand in hand. "The Yue family looks pretty good, much more luxurious than the Man family."

You softly hummed in agreement, and absentmindedly squeezed my hand.

I was originally waiting for Jiao'er in the palace, but I couldn't wait any longer, so I thought I'd come to the Yue family to see Jiao'er first.

"Who are you?" The servants of the Moon House did not recognize me and You, and stopped us.

"Tell your new wife that Nüxin is looking for him."

The gatekeeper sized us up, and perhaps sensing our distinguished bearing, he didn't stop us and invited us into the Moon House.

You and I followed the gatekeeper through a long corridor and a flower garden to a room.

"Please wait here for a moment, I will go and fetch my wife."

"Okay, thank you."

After sitting with You for a while, Jiao'er led her groom in, her face flushed.

"Jiao'er." My eyes lit up when I saw Jiao'er, such a beauty.

When Jiao'er saw me call him, she let go of her husband's hand and held my hand tightly, still shaken. "You're finally back. You have no idea how worried I was that day. He disappeared in the blink of an eye."

"Hehe, don't worry too much, I'm fine now."

Jiao'er poked my forehead with two fingers, looking at me with a disappointed expression. "And what if there's real danger?"

"No, I'm so lucky, it's just that good people are blessed by heaven."

After looking me up and down to make sure I was alright, Jiao'er smiled at me with relief and sat back down in her chair.

"Jiao'er, you won't be afraid to go to the mortal world again after this, will you?" I carefully observed Jiao'er's expression.

I don't want to lose my shopping buddy, Jiao'er.

"How could that be?" Jiao'er shook her head, her eyes filled with unspeakable longing.

"That's good, I'll take you out again next time."

Jiao'er glanced at the young man beside her and asked, "Can Yuejiao go too?"

"sure."

Nowadays, everyone in the Abyss knows that You could send hundreds of thousands of troops out of the Abyss with a wave of his hand just to fight there.

Therefore, getting out of the Abyss is not as difficult as it used to be; the outside world is no longer unfamiliar to the Abyss.

I was surprised that Yuejiao didn't go on this expedition.

I remember Yuejiao's strength was quite good.

Jiao'er and I were chatting in the hall, holding hands and eating sunflower seeds, while You and Yuejiao were playing a game of chess in perfect harmony.

"Your Majesty, Madam, Master, Madam, dinner is ready."

I put down the sunflower seeds in my hand. "Have you eaten?"

He's good for nothing but eating.

After dinner, I leaned in with Jiao'er and we started whispering to each other.

Jiao'er pretended to be mysterious, "Oh, right, I'll show you something."

Seeing Jiao'er's mysterious look, I was genuinely curious. "What is it?"

Jiao'er chuckled, her ethereal beauty vanishing completely.

"Look," she said, placing her phone and tablet on the table as if presenting a treasure.

"You brought them back?"

"Hmm." Jiao'er nodded, touching the objects on the table with a nostalgic look in her eyes, "It's just been dark and never lit."

There's no way to charge these things in the Abyss. If you don't play, it can last for a day or two, but if you play for a day, it'll run out of power and shut down.

"Let's go play in the mortal realm next time." I couldn't bear to see Jiao'er's disappointed expression, so I reached out and ruffled her hair.

"good."

After leaving the Yue family, a very important question suddenly came to mind.

"When you gathered so many people, wasn't there a chance that some of them would want to go to the mortal world and cause trouble?"

You pursed her lips, "No."

I blinked at You. So confident?

Having spent so long in the Abyss, I have a fairly good understanding of the personalities of the people there.

If a person from Guixu with evil intentions goes to the mortal world and lacks the willpower to control themselves, they will surely cause chaos and trouble.

"I've set up checkpoints at the entrance and boundaries of the passage; I've already sent people to check them."

Is it really that easy? A hint of doubt flashed across my eyes.

You and I chatted casually in Sun and Moon City as we strolled slowly toward the palace.

Youyi has never been one to enjoy taking walks; he always uses magic to go wherever he wants. But now that I'm taking him for walks, he's started doing so.

"You, it seems you haven't been to Qingyuan yet?"

Walking on the streets of Riyue City, I suddenly thought of going to Qingyuan Garden for a stroll, and maybe I would run into Leng Ning.

I'm really conflicted about Leng Ning's attitude, and I don't know whether I should ask her about it.

I leave the choice to fate; I visit Leng Ning at any random time each time.

If Leng Ning is present, then it's fate to go and ask Feng Su. If she's not, then it means we're not destined to be together, so I won't bother her anymore.

"If you really want to see him, should I send someone to bring him back?"

I shook my head. "Never mind."

I don't want to ask. I still remember what Feng Su said.

Don't ask Leng Ning, don't scare him.

My abrupt interruption would be a violation of Feng Su's words.

The entrance to Qingyuan is always bustling with people; they have no time to rest and work around the clock.

"Gentlemen, you're here again!" The newcomer smiled at me, clearly remembering me.

"Hmm." I nodded and pointed to the second floor. "Is there still a table at the one I came in last time?"

"Yes, yes, yes, please come here, you two." The visitor warmly ushered us into the second floor. "You're lucky, this room just became available."

It was You's first time visiting Qingyuan. She looked around and then leaned back in her chair, looking at the platform below.

As soon as I leaned back in the chair at Qingyuan, I inexplicably felt sleepy. I forced myself to watch a few programs before drifting off to sleep.

"Tired?" You tilted her head and touched my forehead with a slightly cool hand.

I squinted at You, my eyelids still heavy from dancing, and asked, "Why are you touching my forehead? I don't have a fever."

You smiled faintly, moving the hand that was touching her forehead to her face.

"If you're sleepy, take a nap. I'll keep an eye on things for you."

"Okay." I nodded obediently and fell asleep.

When I woke up, I found myself in my own palace, not in the familiar Qingyuan Garden.

I blinked. Didn't You say she'd keep an eye on things for me? How did we get home already?

Did I sleep for a long time?

I got up and looked over the screen, and saw You sitting at the low table looking at the memorials.

I slowed down and sat opposite You, resting my chin on my hand and watching.

You looked extremely serious as she flipped through the memorials, her eyes lowered and her curled eyelashes casting shadows beneath them, a pleasing sight.

I saw You had read several memorials, and I couldn't help but want to speak.

"You, how long have I been asleep? How come I was just in Qingyuan and now I'm in my own bed?"

You glanced at me lightly, "It wasn't long, just a temporary need to deal with some memorials."

"Oh." I nodded and said no more.

I watched as You finished processing the large stack of memorials on her desk.

You really have a tough job.

You handed the completed memorial to the servant, then turned her head and pinched my cheek.
