I turned my face away in a huff, refusing to look at You anymore.
It's not that I dislike Wu Xian or don't want to be with her; I just want Wu Xian to go with You, so that it can alleviate some of You's pressure.
"Are you angry?" You reached out and brought my face directly in front of me.
I turned my eyes away from You. Just as we were in silence, Wu Xian stepped forward and said, "You Emperor, I think we can let Xin Huang and Feng Su go together. Xin Huang is very strong."
You glanced at the witch, her eyes filled with complex emotions, as if blaming the witch for meddling in other people's business.
“You, Feng Su and I really have no problem.” I saw Wu Xian speak up for me and then turned to You to repeat myself, but You still looked somewhat unwilling. I stomped my foot in frustration and said, “If you don’t agree, I’m not going to talk to you anymore.”
I turned away, leaving only a silhouette for You.
"Okay, I promise you." You's helpless voice came from behind me, followed by a pair of large hands that hugged me from behind. "Be careful."
"Don't worry." This time, my farewell to You was much smoother, unlike yesterday when we had to go through a long, mushy goodbye.
"Master, where are we going?"
Feng Su transformed into her original phoenix form, and I sat on her back, looking at the map in my hand.
It's so good that Feng Su is here. I don't even have to walk by myself anymore, and Feng Su is so fast.
But where to go first? I studied the map for a long time before deciding where to go.
"Feng Su, let's go southeast."
"good."
I chose the farthest location because I wanted to take down the furthest boss first. The map shows a desert to the southeast.
As the wind rose, the temperature increased. The scorching sun beat down on us. Although my body wasn't hot, I could see the huge, intense sun right in front of me, and the ground beneath my feet was barren. The sand was red from the heat, and I felt waves of heat hitting my face.
"Feng Su, are you alright? Are you hot?" I conjured a fan and fanned Feng Su beneath me.
Feng Su shook her head. "Master, I'm not hot. Have you forgotten that I'm a phoenix?"
Then it dawned on me that the phoenix's element is fire, so how could it be afraid of heat?
I put the fan away, sat down comfortably, and carefully observed my surroundings.
I must be careful to prove myself. I used to think I only needed to follow behind You and do nothing. But when your loved one is busy and exhausted, you can't relax and enjoy yourself. You always feel compelled to help them instead of just taking advantage of their efforts.
I circulated my inner energy and used my divine sense to explore the surrounding area within a hundred miles, but unfortunately, I found nothing.
I didn't give up, so I calmed down and continued my search.
Found it!
Right in front of me, I opened my eyes and looked ahead.
Ahead of me was still a desert, looking exactly the same as other places, with nothing unusual to note.
However, I discovered that what I was seeing was not real; it was an illusion.
I chuckled and waved my hand to cast a spell, my magic passing in front of me.
Sure enough, I guessed right.
What lay exposed before me seemed to be a desolate place, filled with white bones and surrounded by black crows.
These crows eat human flesh and inhale resentment here, and they have survived in such a harsh environment. They are no ordinary crows.
However, what I need to deal with isn't these little crows, but...
I shifted my gaze to...
