Ninety-five

Next, the characters that Wu Xian and I encountered were all minor figures, not even in the same league as the Ice Crystal Beast.

After my series of victories, I became a little complacent, and I had a vague feeling that I was invincible.

After defeating the last boss, I clapped my hands, turned around, and said with a hint of pride, "These were too weak."

The witch glanced at me, then looked down at the map in her hand. "Emperor Xin, we can go back now." With that, the witch put away the map.

"Okay, I wonder if you're feeling better? I've had so much exercise today, I'm starting to feel hungry." I rubbed my stomach.

We returned quickly, and in no time we arrived at the place where we had parted ways with You.

"Your Majesty, you're back!" A minor celestial official bowed to me as soon as I arrived.

"Where's You?" I asked, searching for You's figure all over the place.

"Emperor You has not returned yet."

"I see." I nodded, somewhat disappointed, and found a place to sit and wait for You.

As soon as I sat down, I began to circulate my internal energy. I had overexerted myself today, especially after fighting the Ice Crystal Beast. My body is still aching.

Sigh, being a master is tough; being a lazy bum is much more comfortable.

After practicing for a few weeks, the pain in my body was relieved a little, and the depleted true energy was replenished. Only then did I stop cultivating and open my eyes. I looked around and saw a few immortals around me busy with their own things. I scanned the area but did not see You's figure.

Why haven't they come back yet? Could something have happened to them? I remembered the talisman You gave me before I left this morning. I took it out of my pocket, intending to light it, but then I thought that if You was currently fighting someone, my actions would definitely affect her, so I put the talisman back in my pocket.

A minor celestial official, perhaps seeing that we were getting really bored, stepped forward and said, "Emperor Xin, why don't you return to the Heavenly Court first?"

I shook my head. "No, I'll wait for him here."

This place can be considered a temporary foothold built by the immortals in the mortal realm.

I squatted by the roadside, picking foxtail grass to make little bunnies. When I had so many bunnies that they formed a small mountain, and when I had picked all the foxtail grass within a hundred meters around me, I finally saw You return.

"You, why are you so slow?" I jumped forward and threw myself into You's arms.

"Hiss." I thought I heard You gasp. I quickly stood up straight and looked at You anxiously. "What's wrong? Are you hurt?"

She smiled and shook her head, "I'm fine."

You's face didn't look like she was alright. Her already fair complexion became even whiter. I leaned closer to smell if there was any blood on You's body, but unfortunately, all I could smell was a faint fragrance.

"Your face is so pale, how could you be alright?" As I said this, I reached out to take off You's clothes to check her wounds.

Yuichi grasped my flailing hands, staring at me with her bright eyes and saying, "I'm really fine, don't worry about me."

"You're alright, why won't you let me see?" I wanted to break free forcefully, but I was afraid that Youzhen would get hurt and I would hurt her.

"Are you sure?" You narrowed her eyes, glanced around at the people, and a wicked smile appeared on her lips.

I looked at You, who was sulking and didn't speak for a long time before finally managing to say, "Anyway, you can create a barrier."

She chuckled and pulled me close, resting her head on my shoulder. "I'm really fine, just a little tired."

You leaned against me, her fragile and tired voice reaching my ears. I reached out and touched You's head.

At this moment, You is especially heartbreaking.
