"Sister, can't you really take me with you?" The little guy stepped forward, tilted his head back, and looked up with teary eyes.
Her adorable appearance almost made me say I'd bring her, but thankfully I held back and shook my head.
"Sister, I'm very capable, much more so than that little monster following you. Please take me with you."
"Why do you insist on following me?" I rubbed my forehead, feeling a headache coming on. I've never been good at refusing people, especially since the Red Demon has turned into an irresistibly cute creature.
"Because you defeated me."
"Huh?" I looked at the Red Demon with a clearly disbelieving expression.
"Okay, it's because I've been so bored staying in the Miasma Forest. I've wanted to go out and see the world for a long time, and then someone as beautiful as you appeared, like a fairy, so I wanted to follow you." Red Demon tilted his head, sucking on his finger, his little face scrunched up.
This is really giving me a headache.
"Sister." The little one noticed my hesitation and tried to reach out and tug at my skirt, but Luo stopped him.
The little guy pouted at Luo and continued to act cute towards me remotely.
"Master, if you want to take him with you, make him sign a contract with you. If he refuses to sign, then don't take him with you." Feng Su saw my hesitation and offered a solution.
"contract?"
"Yes, there are two kinds of contracts: master-servant contracts and partner contracts. Once a contract is signed, he will not do anything detrimental to his master."
I almost forgot about the contract; Feng Su and I have a partnership contract.
"Then would you be willing to sign a partnership contract with me?" I squatted down and pinched the red demon's soft little face, asking.
"I do." The little guy grinned, showing off his white teeth.
I nodded, touched the little guy's forehead with my fingertip, and thought of the scene when I made a contract with Feng Su. I silently recited a spell in my heart, and a faint fluctuation of heaven and earth floated between me and the Red Ghost, and my mind and the Red Ghost's mind were also linked together.
Done!
I withdrew my hand and breathed a sigh of relief. I was really afraid I wouldn't sign it, which would have been terrible.
"Sister." As soon as we finished signing, the little one snuggled into my arms, hugged my neck, and called me sweetly and softly.
"Good boy." I couldn't help but pat Mo Chigui's little head.
"Sister, my name is Hao."
"灏? Is that a single character?"
"Yes, that's right. It's a name I thought of for a long time." The little guy nodded vigorously.
"Okay, then I'll call you Hao Baobao from now on."
"Okay," Hao smiled, his eyes narrowing into slits.
"Alright, we're ready to go now." I picked Hao up and said.
"Sister, wait a moment, I'll say goodbye to them." Hao said, jumping off me and making a megaphone shape with his hands around his mouth, letting out a roar that echoed throughout the entire miasma forest.
Before long, a commotion arose in the miasma forest. All sorts of little monsters gathered in this clearing, centered around us, chattering but remaining quiet.
"Your Majesty? What is this?" A little demon at the head of the line stepped forward, glanced at the four of us, and then respectfully bowed his head to ask Hao.
"I've gathered you all here today to tell you that I'm leaving." Hao was small in stature but had a powerful presence; his resonant voice echoed throughout the demons.
"Your Majesty, where are you going?" another little demon asked, trembling.
"I want to go outside with my sister."
"Your Majesty, what will we do now that you're gone? Your Majesty, we can't live without you!" As the little demon spoke, the quiet scene instantly erupted into chaos, with the demons shouting all at once.
