Thirty-nine

"Quiet." Hao Mingming was still small, but all the demons obeyed his words. "Those of you who want to stay can stay here. I will choose a new king. Those of you who want to leave can leave for the town."

"I'm not leaving." The little demon who had just spoken was the first to reply, and more and more demons said they wouldn't leave. Almost all the demons were saying, "We're not leaving."

I never expected Hao to have such high prestige. In the Heavenly Court, my and You's prestige is definitely not as high as Hao's. If we say we're leaving, I guess those immortals will be overjoyed and will definitely choose a new one.

"Okay, thank you for taking care of me all these years. I will come back to see you when I have the chance." Hao was also a little surprised by the excited scene in front of him, and his eyes were covered with tears.

"Your Majesty..."

Hao took one last look, then reluctantly returned to my side. I bent down and picked him up, and he nestled in my arms, saying in a muffled voice, "Let's go."

I glanced down at Hao, who was nestled in my arms. Hao didn't even lift his head, probably because he was afraid of feeling sentimental upon seeing his longtime friends.

We arrived quietly, but left with quite a bang.

All the little demons from the miasma forest emerged, following behind us as if to protect us, and escorted us out of the miasma forest in a grand procession.

"Master, where are we going next?" Lin Fengsu asked me as soon as we emerged from the miasma, glancing at Hao in my arms with a hint of displeasure. "Hey, can't you walk by yourself? Why do you have to be carried by your master the whole way?"

I glanced at Feng Su with a hint of helplessness. "Let's find a town to rest properly. We haven't had a proper rest since we came to the Abyss."

"good."

"Jinyu, do you know how to get to the nearest town?" Only Jinyu could be entrusted with leading the way.

"I know, leave it to me," Jin Yu patted her chest, looking confident.

Our three-person team has grown into a five-person team in just a few days. Along the way, the five of us chatted, laughed, and joked around until we reached the town.

This town is much larger than the one we saw when we first arrived in the Abyss. The city gates and walls are made of an unknown black mineral, and the guards at the gate are on duty meticulously. They questioned us thoroughly before letting us in.

"Jinyu, do we also need to use points to get a place to rest later? Do you have enough points?" I suddenly remembered when I first met Jinyu, he said that he was just a lowly demon. I wondered if he had enough points for so many of us to squander.

"Don't worry. Leave it to me." Jin Yu looked confident.

Jin Yu easily found a courtyard-style house. The owner was a somewhat withered old man. Jin Yu took out a black card from her pocket and handed it to the owner. The owner scribbled something on the card and then handed it back to Jin Yu before leaving.

"Jinyu, have you been here before?" I couldn't help but ask curiously. Jinyu seemed a bit too familiar with the place, and he didn't look like the lowly demon he had described.

“I’ve been in the Abyss for so many years, I’ve been to many places, and it’s all the same routine.” Jin Yu laughed and pulled me toward the backyard. “The landlord just told me that there’s a small pond and a hot spring in the backyard. I’ll take you to see it.”

"Hot springs?" I couldn't help but feel happy. I hadn't taken a bath in a long time since I came to the Abyss. I didn't expect that there would be hot springs in the Abyss.
