Thirty-four

As the name suggests, the "Red Demon" is a demon that is entirely red, possesses immense strength, thick skin, and is resistant to beatings, but is simple-minded and not clever.

"Boss, the Red Demons of the Miasma Forest are not easy to deal with. Isn't it too hasty of us to rely on just a few of them?" Jin Yu followed behind me, her tiger-like eyes filled with worry.

"Hmm..." I glanced back at Jin Yu. Her agile figure paired with that enormous white tiger head looked rather odd to me. We'd be seeing each other all the time from now on. "Jin Yu, can you transform into a human?"

Jin Yu scratched her head, hesitated for a moment, and then said, "Okay."

"Then transform into a human form. I really can't stand your tiger head."

"Okay." Jin Yu agreed. After a puff of green smoke, a handsome and elegant man appeared in front of me.

"Not bad, not bad," I praised. "You're still very handsome, that's more like it."

"What's the use of being handsome? Strength is the most important thing in the Abyss."

I thought to myself, you haven't seen what a fangirl is like. The power of looks is really strong.

"You just said that the Red Demon is difficult to deal with. Do you know him?"

“I know. Most of the demons and monsters in the abyss have moved to towns. Those who are unwilling to move have obeyed the orders of the Sun and Moon Lord, built cities in their own territories, and followed his commands. As for the Red Demon, those monsters who disobey orders and still act as they please, possessing their own power, are exceptionally strong. The Sun and Moon Lord sent people to subdue them before, but they never returned and suffered a crushing defeat.” Jin Yu told him everything she knew, still somewhat afraid of the Red Demon.

"My lord, should I go and scout ahead first? That way, we can know our enemy and ourselves," Luo asked after a moment's thought.

“Alright, we’re quite close to the Miasma Forest now. Luo, why don’t you go check it out first?” I agreed with Luo’s suggestion; it wouldn’t be wise to go there rashly.

With the map and Jin Yu's help, we made our way smoothly, and we could vaguely see the miasma forest ahead.

"My lord, wait for me here. I'll be right back."

"good."

In an instant, Luo disappeared without a trace.

Feng Sujinyu and I stayed where we were and waited. I didn't dare to wander around in this abyss, otherwise it would be troublesome if Luo came back and couldn't find us.

As I waited, a wave of drowsiness washed over me. Ever since I came to the Abyss, I'd been on edge and hadn't had a proper rest.

"Xin'er." You stood a few steps away from me. After not seeing you for many days, You had become even more tall and handsome.

"You?! What are you doing here? Didn't you say you would only appear in times of crisis?" I stepped forward. "Did you miss me?" I couldn't help but tease You as soon as we met.

"I missed you." You gently hugged me, her eyes bright as stars, and her soft, flower-petal-like lips kissed my cheek, her gaze as gentle as water as she carefully looked me over.

When You told me she missed me, my inner voice went wild, excitedly and shyly pounding around.

"Didn't you say you'd been watching me all along?" I asked, tilting my head back as I touched You's perfectly proportioned waist.

"Hmm, it's a pity I can't hug you." You stroked my hair, a hint of annoyance flashing in her eyes, and said somewhat unhappily, "I should have known better than to let you come to the Abyss to cultivate."

“Then let’s go back. The abyss is no fun at all,” I immediately replied. “I want to see you all the time.”

I don't know if other girls feel the same way I do, wanting to be with the person they like all the time. I really have no interest in spiritual practice. I just want to be a cat that does nothing but snuggle and roll around in someone's arms all day.
