Thirty-one

"Feng Su, did you even understand this map?" Before we even got started, we were already doomed. After our three-person team took the wrong path for the nth time, I couldn't help but lament in my heart. I bet You is hiding in a corner laughing at me. I was so confident just now, but I can't even find the way.

"Master, wait, let me take another look."

I facepalmed. Who would have thought that the three of us, who would be unparalleled in the world and so handsome, would be so clueless about the way?

"Luo, did you figure something out?" I could only pin my hopes on Luo, who was always reliable.

“My lord, this abyss is different from other places; it is all dark and difficult to discern directions.” Luo’s expression was also somewhat unpleasant.

I gave up completely. Indeed, the abyss was nothingness both above and below, without even a protrusion, making it difficult to discern anything.

The directional tools we brought are all malfunctioning here.

Just as I was feeling dejected, I suddenly saw a faint figure in the distance. "Feng Su, Luo, look, there's someone ahead!"

Luo and Feng Su looked in the direction I pointed and indeed saw it too.

"Quick, bring him here. Don't kill him; we still need to ask for directions." As soon as I finished speaking, Luo's figure flashed out with incredible speed. It seemed that the setback of getting lost earlier had left Luo feeling quite upset.

Luo quickly brought the figure back. When I got closer, I found that the person had a human body and a tiger's face. He was still a bit resentful after I captured him, and he kept cursing.

"Shut up, I'm asking you, how do I get to this place?" I kicked the man and showed him the map You had just given me.

The man looked closely for a long time, then said, "I don't understand this either!"

"Don't you understand?" I threatened in a harsh tone.

Seeing that the three of us looked formidable, the man shrank back and said, "I'm just a lowly demon; I don't understand these things."

Inferior demon? I don't understand? Although I don't quite understand what this person means, he doesn't seem to be lying.

"Are you lost?" the little demon asked after looking us over.

I nodded.

"You're new here, aren't you? Then you'll need to go to the city-state and buy a navigation tool. Otherwise, you won't be able to find your way in this abyss,"

"City-state? Identification tool?" This is completely different from the original text I read. I'm a bit confused.

I searched my memory, but I didn't know much about this place. I only knew that there were many demons and monsters here, and that no one had come here for tens of thousands of years. People outside knew almost nothing about this place, and some immortals who were still young didn't even know that there was an abyss.

"Let me go, and I'll take you there."

"Let you go? What if you take us to your base and harm us?" I smiled coldly, though I was still completely bewildered. But that didn't mean I would easily believe a monster's words.

I grabbed the demon's chin and threw a piece of candy into his mouth, forcing him to swallow it. Wow, I've really mastered the art of grabbing his chin.

"What did you give me to eat?" the demon asked in terror, as if he wanted to vomit.

"Poison, if you deceive me, you know the consequences."

"You...you all...humph, what a petty mind you have." The demon looked at us with a sorrowful expression and tears in her eyes.

"Let him go."

Upon hearing this, Luo released her grip.

"lead the way."

The demon looked at me with tearful, aggrieved eyes, then released a wisp of black energy from its hand, which pointed in one direction.

"What is this?" I asked, somewhat curiously.

"What do you want to do? Are you trying to rob me?" The demon was so frightened when it saw me approaching that it quickly withdrew the wisp of black energy and covered its hand.

Upon hearing this, I thought, "Hey, that's a good idea. If I just snatch it, I won't have to go to any city-state to buy it anymore, right?" Thinking of this, my smile gradually turned sinister.

"This has a master, you can't take it away. Even if you kill me, this power will dissipate," the demon said, trembling.

"Is that so?" Upon hearing this, I sensed something was off about the black aura, but I wouldn't kill and rob someone just for a tool to determine location.
