Chapter 34 I Want a Divorce

Chapter 34 I Want a Divorce

"How did you get into this mess?" I asked puzzledly.

It would have been fine if I hadn't asked, but as soon as I did, Jiang Ruohe's face became even gloomier, and he gritted his teeth and yelled, "It's all because of me."

I was confused and didn't quite understand what he meant.

"Help me up now."

I quickly helped him up and found that his legs were limping. No wonder there was a rustling sound when he walked in the grass. I never thought that this thing could be a person.

"What's wrong with your leg?" I asked puzzledly.

"It's because you ran around. I looked for you all over Gushan Mountain and ended up being bitten by a snake." Jiang Ruohe glared at me.

My heart suddenly felt warm. I thought Jiang Ruohe was deliberately making trouble for me and abandoning me in this desolate mountain.

"I didn't run around. Your assistant said you had something to talk to me about on Lonely Mountain, so I went..."

Jiang Ruohe's face darkened, he called out the assistant's name, and then looked at me.

"Zhao Yan isn't that bold. He must be under Grandpa's orders, wanting us to develop a bond on this deserted island..."

“…”

I helped Jiang Ruohe to the tree, took out tissues and mineral water from my bag and helped him wipe the black mud off his face. I found that Jiang Ruohe's face was a little pale and his lips were a little dark purple.

Suddenly I remembered that he said he was bitten by a snake, so I hurriedly lifted up his right trouser leg. My calf was swollen like a piece of shit. I guess it was because he ran too fast after me, so the poison took effect quickly. I hurriedly tore off the corner of my clothes and wrapped it around Jiang Ruohe's leg. I took out my cell phone to call for an ambulance, but there was no signal.

Jiang Ruohe looked up and glanced at me.

"I really don't know what's so good about you that made Grandpa go to so much trouble to bring you and me together. Now that it's all over, I'm satisfied..."

I looked at Jiang Ruohe guiltily. He stayed on this island just to find me. Even though I hated him a little, I couldn't just watch him die.

I pulled his legs over, lowered my head and started to suck the poisonous blood from him. Jiang Ruohe trembled all over, opened his eyes and looked at me.

"You..." He retracted his legs and tried to dodge, but I held him down forcefully.

I spat out the poisonous blood I had sucked out and looked at him.

"Don't make trouble. I have to suck out this poisonous blood with you. Otherwise, it will be very serious. You might even die in this mountain behind. Don't worry about me. I've helped others suck out the poisonous blood before. It's okay..."

That was three years ago. I went hiking with Huang Minwei and some classmates. On the way, we saw someone bitten by a snake. The signal was too bad at the time, so I didn't think about anything and just sucked out the poisonous blood from the unconscious person. After that, I left Huang Minwei, who had accidentally sprained her foot, to take care of her while I and some classmates continued hiking.

Jiang Ruohe looked at me without saying a word, with complex emotions flashing in his eyes. While he was distracted, I quickly continued to help him suck blood.

Seeing the blood on Jiang Ruohe's legs turned back to normal color, I thought it was no big deal. After bandaging him, I looked up at him and said he was fine. I found that he was still staring at me.

Seeing me looking at him, he quickly came back to his senses, turned his face away, and whispered thank you to me.

I drank a few sips of water to rinse my mouth, then leaned against the tree. I looked at the time and it was already past ten o'clock. With Jiang Ruohe beside me, I didn't seem so scared anymore.

Looking deep into the grass, I sighed. Grandpa was so funny. He actually wanted to use this method to improve the relationship between Jiang Ruohe and me.

Maybe he doesn't know that forcing two people together when they both have someone else in their hearts will never work out.

He has Huang Minwei, and I habitually reached out to touch my neck, but found it empty. After Jiang Yichen tore the necklace apart last time, I put it away.

I closed my eyes feeling a little uncomfortable and fell asleep exhausted.

At night, I suddenly felt cold all over, as if I was in an icy hell. I shivered and curled up, trying to find a place where I could keep warm.

My hand suddenly touched something warm, and I hurriedly leaned over and wrapped myself around it like an octopus. The warm temperature made me feel a lot more comfortable. Tears flowed down my face unconsciously, and I murmured Chen Xi's name.

Someone suddenly pushed him and he fell to the ground, fainting.

When I woke up, I found myself lying in a hospital ward, and Jiang Ruohe's voice came from outside the door.

"Grandpa, I want a divorce."
