Killing monsters is not easy. You have to aim for their heads and chop them down hard, or stick an iron rod into their eye sockets to kill them.
However, there is one thing we need to know.
Monsters are all transformed from humans. Human skulls are very hard. If you try to poke its head with an iron rod, you might only break a little bit of the skin, but you won't be able to break its skull at all.
Therefore, killing monsters is also a skill-based activity.
And it takes a lot of effort.
If you try to cut it with a knife, you'll need a lot of force to see through the skull.
The six of us are now standing in front of the movable gate, each holding a machete or axe, aiming at the monster's head and hacking down hard.
With one strike, if the force is just right, the monster is basically dead. But if the force is too light, you have to start over. If the force is too heavy, the cleaver might get stuck in the skull and be difficult to pull out.
In less than ten minutes, the monsters behind the gate were all dead, their corpses lying haphazardly inside and outside. All six of us were covered in disgusting blood. Luckily, it was winter, so the corpses didn't emit any foul stench, otherwise, we would have been in unbearable pain.
After dealing with the monsters at the entrance, Fei Lichao didn't intend to go in. Instead, he said to us, "You four clean up the entrance. Lao Yan and I will go in and lure out the monsters in the corner."
He was referring to a pre-arranged plan, and no one objected.
Although the monsters at the entrance have been cleared out, many monsters are still scattered throughout the school. Yan Zhengfeng and Fei Lichao are the only ones who can lure these monsters out.
If the six of us had rushed in blindly together, the chances of something going wrong would have been very high, which is why we chose this conservative approach.
Fei Lichao and Yan Zhengfeng are both very strong; dealing with the monster is no problem for them, and luring it out is even less of a problem.
The four of us were cleaning up the monsters' corpses at the entrance.
Having corpses piled up at the entrance is not a good thing. If a monster comes along and steps over the corpses to cross the gate, that would be a real problem.
Therefore, cleaning it up is good for us.
It took us five minutes to move the bodies from inside and outside the door to the roadside without stopping.
Five minutes later, Fei Lichao and Pu Weichao ran out from the administration building. Soon after, several fast-moving monsters appeared behind them. These monsters were extremely fast, much faster than ordinary monsters.
"Get ready, damn it, there are still a lot more behind us!" Fei Lichao ran over and leaped over the gate, which was only half a person high.
Yan Zhengfeng followed closely behind and went outside.
The monsters that had been following them crashed into the gate and tumbled out.
I didn't give them much of a chance to get up; I killed them all, one by one.
After dealing with those incredibly fast monsters, a series of dense roars suddenly came from inside the school. We looked up and saw a bunch of monsters surging out from the depths of the school.
"Wow! How come there are so many!" Zhang Zhihao exclaimed in surprise.
"They all came from the cafeteria, so get the hell ready. Don't let your guard down!"
Fei Lichao's words should be taken very seriously.
We dared not relax in the face of so many monsters.
I roughly counted them, and there were at least fifty of these monsters, or even more!
“No, there are too many. We probably can’t handle them all! And the only thing blocking their way is a gate, which is made of plastic. It’ll probably break as soon as they squeeze through. Once they come out, the six of us won’t be able to kill all those zombies,” Pu Weichao said.
No one doubted Pu Weichao's words.
After all, there are monsters right in front of us, and so many of them are crowding out. We definitely can't kill them all by ourselves.
Moreover, the gate in front of us is not an electronic retractable gate. If it were, its height of 1.6 meters would be enough to block these monsters.
"What do you suggest we do?" Fei Lichao asked.
“Killing them all is definitely not an option. I have a good method that is simple, easy, and efficient,” Pu Weichao said with a smile.
"Then stop talking nonsense and say it!" Fei Lichao asked anxiously.
Although the monsters ahead are still far from the entrance, they will be right in front of us soon.
Pu Weichao said, "Let's open the door, then drive the car to lure these monsters somewhere else, wouldn't that solve the problem?!"
We slapped our foreheads and realized, "That's right! Why not just lure the monsters away? Why do we have to kill them all? That way we can save some effort and trouble."
We were immediately ashamed that only Pu Weichao had come up with such a simple idea.
"What the hell are you all standing there for? Get up and lift the door!" Fei Lichao hurriedly said.
The gate in front of us moves up and down because there is no electricity, so it can only be moved manually.
A few of us started lifting the gate. Luckily, the hinges weren't locked, otherwise we would have broken the gate in half. With relatively little effort, we managed to lift the gate up.
“Pu Weichao, you come with me in the car. The rest of you stay here and close the door after these zombies have all left.”
Pu Weichao didn't hesitate and followed Fei Lichao into the car. As soon as the pickup truck's engine started, all the monsters noticed it.
As for the remaining four of us, we all hid on the other side of the school gate to avoid being discovered by those monsters.
About two minutes later, the monsters arrived at the school gate.
The pickup truck started moving forward, and the monsters, listening to the roar of the engine, followed closely behind, continuously emerging from the school.
We waited for about four minutes before all the monsters inside the school gate came out. The last few monsters were so slow that they stopped at the school gate and stopped following.
Without hesitation, we went up and killed the monsters that had fallen.
At that moment, I looked into the campus and found that there wasn't a single monster inside; it was eerily clean.
"Is there anything left inside?" I asked Yan Zhengfeng.
"Yes, there are many more." Yan Zhengfeng didn't say much.
"Should we wait for Fei Lichao and the others to come back before we take action, or should we go in again now?" I asked him.
Yan Zhengfeng glanced at the school in front of him and said, "I'm going to the administration building to lure out the zombies. You guys wait for me here."
I nodded: "Okay."
After we finished speaking, we pulled down the gate, and Yan Zhengfeng went back into the school.
The administration building is located to the right of the school gate, and it's one of the closest buildings to us.
A moment later, I saw Yan Zhengfeng running alone into the administrative building.
Lu Jing asked me from the side, "Will it be okay for him to go in alone?"
I laughed and said, "He's the same as Fei Lichao; he was a captain in the army, so there's nothing wrong with that."
We waited outside for more than ten minutes.
Yan Zhengfeng walked out of the administration building and strolled unhurriedly to the school gate. There were no monsters behind him.
"Why are you the only one who came out? Weren't there any monsters inside?" I asked curiously.
Yan Zhengfeng said, "There are several, and I've dealt with them all."
