(It's past midnight! This is my first 10,000-word update today. It's a bit late, but that doesn't stop me from writing this five-word update. Hehe, shamelessly asking for a recommendation and a favorite!)
I have to admire Pu Weichao. After this conversation, the initiative was originally completely in the other party's hands, but now, Pu Weichao has firmly grasped the initiative.
Pu Weichao said, "If you agree, I'll take you into the safe zone now. If you're afraid I'll hurt you inside, then don't come with me. Anyway, this is a cooperation, whether you're willing or not is up to you."
Lu Ding stared at Pu Weichao thoughtfully, but finally said, "I underestimated you. Okay, I'll go in with you. Huang Yifeng, you come with me."
Pu Weichao nodded: "No problem, Lao Fei, you come with me. Xiao Nan, Lao Yan, you two stay here and keep watch."
A short while later, we saw the four of them heading towards the entrance.
I didn't go with them, and I don't know what will happen on their side.
After they left, Yan Zhengfeng came to my side and said in a voice that only I could hear, "If anything happens, just kill them all without holding back."
Hearing this, I looked at Yan Zhengfeng in surprise, not understanding why he would say such a thing.
He explained to me, "Old Fei told me this, and that's what I meant too. If something really happens, you should know what to do."
My eyes flashed with suspicion. Could it be that Pu Weichao and the others are really in trouble?
I started to feel inexplicably worried.
At this moment, Sun Shichao walked over with a smile, took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, shook out two, handed one to me, and said with a smile, "Brother, I didn't expect to meet you again so soon. It's really fate."
"It really is fate." I took the cigarette and smiled. I didn't dislike Sun Shichao at all.
"Brother, I still don't know your name. Would you mind telling me?"
I smiled and said, "There's no inconvenience at all. My name is Lu Xiaonan."
Sun Shichao nodded: "So what did you do before?"
I smiled and squinted, thinking to myself, what is this kid up to?
"I just graduated with a master's degree and I don't know what kind of job to look for yet."
"Wow, you're a graduate student? That's amazing! I only have a third-tier university degree. Brother Lu, what did you study that allowed you to get into graduate school?" Sun Shichao asked in surprise.
I blurted out, "It's for medical research, but it's not really useful right now anyway."
I lied about the medical research. Su Ming was the one who studied this major. Originally, Su Ming planned to apply for clinical medicine with me when he took the college entrance examination, but he found that his score was not high enough and he entered medical research as his second choice.
I said this only to conceal my true identity. After all, I'm not familiar with Sun Shichao, so there's no need to reveal it.
Sun Shichao asked in surprise, "So you're a doctor? You can treat illnesses?"
I laughed and said, "It's different. Doctors study clinical medicine, while I study drug research. I basically don't see patients."
Sun Shichao nodded blankly, it was unclear what he was thinking.
We chatted for a bit, mostly just small talk and rambling.
After finishing a cigarette, only a minute or two had passed, but Pu Weichao and Lu Ding still hadn't come out.
But that makes sense. Once the four of them go in, they're bound to run into some trouble. It'll take some time to clear up that trouble. They'll have to go in again to check things out and make a plan. It'll probably take at least ten minutes before they come out.
I just hope nothing bad happens to them.
Sun Shichao laughed from the side, "Big brother, why don't you talk to your Pu Weichao and ask him to join us? My uncle may have a bad character, but he's still capable. If you're with us, at least you can live a decent life and won't have to work so hard."
I asked with a smile, "Can you tell me where you live? Is it really safe over there?"
Sun Shichao nodded, giving an irrelevant answer: "Safe, it's really safe."
I raised an eyebrow and nodded.
Sun Shichao continued, "Brother, why don't you tell me about where you're staying? Judging from your situation, it doesn't seem safe where you're staying."
"More or less," I chuckled.
"Brother, this isn't very interesting."
"Just chatting, why bother with anything?" I laughed.
Yan Zhengfeng stood aside, watching the surrounding situation. The two remaining young men on Sun Shichao's side also kept an eye on the situation and did not come over to chat.
Sun Shichao continued chatting with me, constantly probing me, and I also probing him back, but we both tacitly agreed not to reveal any important information. We were basically completely impervious to his words, not even able to utter a single word.
"Brother, I remember you had an older sister when we last met. How is she doing now? Is she alright?"
"I'm doing great. How about you? That classmate I saw last time, Liu Yu, right? How's he doing?"
Sun Shichao said, "He's fine too. He was originally going to come with me this time, but my uncle thought there would be too many people, so he didn't let him come."
We chatted for about ten minutes.
Around 4:30 pm, snowflakes began to fall from the sky. At this time, Pu Weichao and Lu Ding, along with the other three, came out.
We all perked up, and when we saw them approaching, we noticed that Pu Weichao and Lu Ding were both smiling, and seemed to be having a very pleasant conversation.
They talked as they walked.
“Young man, your idea is good. It’s a way to check and balance each other. We’ll do it your way then,” Lu Ding said.
“Okay, no problem. Let’s all go home today and meet here at nine o’clock tomorrow morning. The five of us and the five of you will go in together and get the stuff out. No matter who gets more or less, no one can complain.”
