What struck me as odd was that the girl seemed completely unafraid of the monsters blocking her path, and didn't even try to avoid them. She simply ran right past them, and the monsters, upon seeing her, simply turned around and didn't chase after her.
"Holy crap, what the hell! This little girl is amazing, so brave, daring to run past zombies, isn't she afraid of getting caught?" Zhou Liang continued to exclaim in surprise beside me.
“She’s running over here,” I said.
The girl didn't seem to see us. As she ran towards us, she kept looking back, and we didn't know what she was looking at.
A moment later, the girl jogged over. When she was about ten meters away from us, she turned around and saw us. Her face immediately showed fear and she stopped in her tracks, not daring to approach.
"Hello, young lady," Zhou Liang greeted her with a smile.
After hearing Zhou Liang's words, the girl seemed even more frightened, taking steps backward and muttering, "Please, don't grab me, please don't grab me..."
"Arrest you?" Zhou Liang asked, puzzled. "Who wants to arrest you?"
The girl was taken aback and asked, "You're not the people who arrested me?"
Zhou Liang laughed: "We've never seen you before, why would we arrest you? Tell me, who wants to arrest you?"
The fear on the girl's face disappeared, but she still dared not approach us, saying, "Then, then can you save me? I don't want to be captured by them!"
Zhou Liang glanced at me and said, "But tell me, who wants to arrest you?"
"It's just..." The girl was about to speak when a sound came from the direction of the school gate.
"You little wench, you dare to run away! Stop right there!"
