"Awooo!" The zombie's roar came again, this time coming from behind us, and very close at that!
I turned around and shone my flashlight, and a zombie appeared in my field of vision.
I raised my machete and brought it down in one stroke, splitting the zombie's head in two! The zombie's body went limp and it collapsed to the ground. As it fell, its body crashed into a row of shelves, causing the items on the shelves to sway and scatter, making a loud clattering sound.
After a long while, the commotion subsided, and everything around returned to silence. However, a moment later, the entire supermarket seemed to come alive, with more and more roars coming from all directions, which made my scalp tingle!
What the hell is going on?!
"Awooo—Awooo—" There were many howls, and it was impossible to tell how many zombies there were. The footsteps of zombies around us gradually came. It was obvious that these zombies had heard the commotion earlier and were coming towards us!
"Awooo!" Just then, another zombie appeared behind me and Sister Jing.
Without hesitation, Sister Jing swung her cleaver, severing the zombie's head.
Just then, movement came from the front of the group. More and more zombies appeared around the group, and we were all dumbfounded! Weren't we told that the supermarket was safe and there were no zombies? What the hell were these zombies?!
Fei Lichao was the first to react, saying, "Damn it! Run! Everyone get the hell out of here!"
Fei Lichao turned around, and a zombie emerged from between two rows of shelves. He swiftly slashed the zombie to death with his knife, then grabbed me and Sister Jing and ran back the way we came.
However, things didn't go smoothly. After running only a few steps, a zombie rushed out and knocked Fei Lichao, who was behind us, to the ground.
Bang!
Gunshots rang out in the supermarket, reigniting the zombies' desires.
"Don't worry about me! You two run!" Fei Lichao shouted from the ground!
