Chapter 36 One Week

Since many attending physicians have cars, they usually leave their car keys in the break room after arriving at the hospital, so I wanted to try my luck and see if I could find the car keys.

The attending physician's rest room is not far from the interns' rest room; it's just a short distance away.

I walked over carefully, without making a sound.

I pressed my ear against the door of the attending physician's lounge and listened carefully, but there was no sound from inside.

Open the door, push it open a crack, and take a closer look. There, on the floor of the lounge, lies a corpse wearing a white coat.

I hesitated for a moment, thinking that he must be dead, otherwise he wouldn't be lying face down.

Standing at the door, I glanced around and immediately noticed a car key hanging from the corpse's belt. I was surprised; it really was an easy find.

I raised an eyebrow, entered the lounge, cautiously approached the corpse, and poked it twice with the axe, but there was no response.

Liu Neng is the doctor I met after Zhang Jianzhou, Zhou Yang, and I ran out of the emergency room. Shen Lin and a nurse were also there at the time.

I never imagined that Liu Neng would die here!

He had a wound on his temple, like he'd been shot by a bullet.

And judging from his appearance, he seemed to have just died! I touched him and found that the body was still warm!

I frowned. "Wait! Something's not right! Liu Neng looks like he just died. His body is still warm. Could there be someone else in this hospital?"

"The key point is that the wound on his temple looks like a gunshot wound, but I didn't hear any gunshots when I was in the lounge earlier," I wondered.

Just as I was wondering what was going on, I suddenly heard hurried footsteps coming from the corridor outside the lounge.

I panicked. "Could it be that other people have really come to the hospital?"

I glanced at the lounge in front of me, saw the toilet stall in the corner, took the car keys hanging from Liu Neng's waist, and immediately hid inside.

Just then, footsteps echoed in the hallway into the lounge.
