The stairs leading down were dark and cold, because they led directly to the morgue entrance. I've been at this hospital for a year now, and I know the outpatient building's layout better than those two soldiers.
I'll be on the first floor in no time. There aren't many people in the morgue, so there aren't any monsters there either.
"It hurts!" I gasped for breath, my left leg aching more and more from the strenuous running.
But we can't stop! What if those two soldiers catch up?
The morgue is tucked away in a corner of the hospital, with a small door leading out of the hospital not far away.
I ran over, pushed open the door, and the sunlight fell on my face, it was very dazzling.
Aww!
There were many monsters outside the door, but they were spread out.
I raised my axe and killed the monster blocking the doorway. I took a deep breath, suppressed my panic, and ran outside.
When the monsters outside saw me, they swarmed over, which bothered me a lot.
I limped around the monsters blocking my way, not daring to confront them head-on. After all, these monsters were incredibly strong, and if I got caught, I would probably be dead!
In no time, I dragged my aching left leg around the road and arrived at the parking lot.
Meanwhile, he kept pressing the key in his hand, not knowing where Liu Neng had parked his car.
After randomly pressing a few buttons, nothing happened in the entire parking lot, and I immediately wanted to curse.
There's no other way but to leave the hospital area first!
I dragged my injured leg and ran out of the hospital. Monsters kept blocking my way, but I managed to avoid them all. Luckily, I didn't encounter any of the fast-running monsters.
Walking like this isn't a solution. My left leg is getting more and more painful, and I'm afraid I won't be able to make it to the hospital entrance!
I looked around and saw a red Mazda with its door half open.
"There's a car!" My eyes lit up, and I quickly turned the corner and jogged over. "It has to have the key, it has to have the key!"
Reaching the driver's seat, they opened the half-closed car door, and a female monster rolled out, hissing and trying to bite.
I struck it on the head with an axe, and it fell silent.
I quickly got into the car, saw the key in the ignition, and decisively turned it. The car started with a roar.
"Hahaha!" I laughed heartily, bursting into laughter three times, incredibly excited. I stepped on the gas, and the car roared forward.
Bang!
Suddenly, gunshots rang out from behind, shattering the rear window of the car.
"Damn it!" I shrank back in fright, almost turning my joy into tragedy. I slammed on the gas, knocked over the two monsters, and drove towards the parking lot entrance.
Gunfire continued from behind, but once I left the parking lot, perhaps because I was too far away, they stopped firing.
