Chapter 484 Breaking Through the Wall

The infirmary was pitch black; you couldn't see anything.

After we turned off our flashlights, we stood right in front of the door, afraid to make a sound, while also trying to keep the zombies outside from getting in.

The light rain outside turned into a downpour. After rushing to the door, the zombies were attracted by the heavy rain after only a few bumps and turned away.

However, Zhang Jianzhou and I still didn't dare to move. Who knew if the zombies outside would come back and keep banging on the door? For safety's sake, we waited at the door for a long time until the zombies outside had completely left before we relaxed.

I turned the flashlight back on and saw the situation inside the infirmary. Although it was filthy and covered in dust, there were no corpses or zombies. The entire waiting hall was empty except for the two of us.

Two beams of flashlight beams flickered back and forth in the waiting room.

I said, "It should be safe now."

Zhang Jianzhou glanced outside through the glass window in the door and said, "There are still two zombies at the door that haven't left."

The door in front of them was just a white plastic door, not a security door. If there were more zombies outside, they could easily break it open.

So neither of us dared to move and could only continue to wait.

We didn't continue the conversation; instead, we waited.

The rain outside is getting bigger and bigger. The two zombies at the door will eventually leave and go into the rain. All we need to do now is wait and not worry about anything else.

After all, there were only two zombies outside the door.

After waiting for about ten minutes, I looked up and saw that the two zombies outside the door had turned and left, and I breathed a sigh of relief.

I said, "It's alright, those two zombies are gone."

Zhang Jianzhou also stood up and looked around. After confirming that there were no zombies outside, the expression on his face relaxed.

He turned the flashlight back on, and I asked, "Where is the place where you get your medicine?"

Zhang Jianzhou said, "In the pharmacy."

I said, "Take me there to have a look first."

Zhang Jianzhou did not object, nodded, and then used his flashlight to illuminate the road ahead.

The infirmary looked fairly clean, with no corpses or bloodstains, but the pitch-black darkness was rather eerie and frightening.

Actually, when I arrived at the entrance of Yuelin Town, I had some doubts in my mind. I was afraid that Yuelin Town was a place Zhang Jianzhou had deliberately brought me here. It was possible that this was not the place where he got the medicine, but rather a trap he had set up to deal with me, which was why he led me here.

However, I suppose I was just overthinking it all.

We've arrived at the infirmary and are about to reach the pharmacy. I doubt Zhang Jianzhou has set up any ambushes here.

Zhang Jianzhou walked ahead, and I followed him deeper into the clinic, arriving at the entrance of the pharmacy.

The pharmacy had a blue security door. After arriving at the door, Zhang Jianzhou took out his key from his pocket, skillfully opened the security door, and turned around to say, "This is it."

I shone my flashlight into the pharmacy, and it was empty. There was nothing on the shelves, and the whole room was completely bare.

I didn't go in, but asked, "Will the people from the research institute put the medicine here tomorrow?"

Zhang Jianzhou walked in, his flashlight illuminating the entire pharmacy. He nodded and said, "Yes, they should come and put the medicine here tomorrow morning. The last few times I came, it was in the afternoon, and the medicine was already on this shelf by then."

I walked into the pharmacy and looked around. There was indeed nothing in the pharmacy.

"Then let's find a place to wait until tomorrow and see..."

I had my back to Zhang Jianzhou at that moment, and just as I was about to continue speaking, I suddenly felt the pistol tucked behind my waist being pulled out.

I quickly turned around and saw Zhang Jianzhou holding a pistol, the black muzzle pointed at me.

I tried to grab the gun from his hand, but the guy shot me in the head.

Bang!

The moment the gunshot rang out, my ears were almost deafened. The bullet grazed my cheek, leaving a wound on my face, from which blood instantly seeped out.

I stared intently at Zhang Jianzhou and shouted angrily, "Zhang Jianzhou, what are you doing!"

Zhang Jianzhou roared, "What else can I do? Of course, I'll kill you!"

After saying that, Zhang Jianzhou acted decisively, intending to shoot me directly. I was extremely panicked; I never expected Zhang Jianzhou to suddenly turn against me at this moment. And so decisively, he actually tried to kill me right here!

And most importantly, I didn't even realize his intentions.

How could I be so stupid!

He was about to pull the trigger again.

I quickly shone my flashlight into his eyes, and then the gun in his hand suddenly started firing, which startled me and made me flinch.

Then, I pounced on him, knocking him to the ground. I pinned him down, trying to take the pistol from his hand, but the bastard was decisive and simply threw the pistol away.

When I tried to get up, this guy suddenly raised both feet and kicked me in the stomach, then kicked me into the pharmacy. The flashlight in my hand fell to the ground and shattered instantly, the light went out, and I tumbled twice in the pharmacy before crashing into the shelves.

I was about to stand up and rush out when Zhang Jianzhou beat me to it. He stood up, ran out the door in a few strides, and then grabbed the security door...

Bang!

With a loud bang, the security door slammed shut.

I got up from the ground, ignoring the pain, went to the door, pressed the doorknob, but couldn't open the security door!

In an instant, I realized that Zhang Jianzhou, that bastard, had locked the door completely from the outside with a key!

I can't open it at all!

"Zhang Jianzhou! You beast! Let me out!" I kept banging on the door.

A moment later, Zhang Jianzhou's voice came from inside, saying, "Lu Xiaonan, you little brat, I'm your teacher! Don't you have any respect for your teacher?!"

"Let me out!" I shouted angrily.

Zhang Jianzhou sneered twice and said, "Let you out? Do you think that's possible? I spent so much effort and time, originally planning to kill you here, but who knew you were so skilled? But I'm not bad either, at least I've kept you locked up inside."

"As for letting you out, forget about it. You just stay in there. Nobody will know you're here. You'll probably starve to death in seven or eight days! When I get back to Central Town, who will suspect me?" Zhang Jianzhou sneered. "Kid, just wait to die here. I'm leaving now!"
