There was a corridor outside the door, and no one was there. We weren't in a hurry to go out. I said, "Wait for me here."

He nodded again.
I slowly released his mouth, and seeing that he didn't scream, I asked, "Tell me, where is Wu Shuang being held?"

I pressed the gun against his head, and he said fearfully, "Third floor, she's being held in the lounge on the third floor!"
Without thinking, I knocked him unconscious. Then I put the two guys I knocked out in a dark corner to avoid being discovered. After that, I started trying to find a way to go upstairs.
As I searched for the stairs, I heard that more and more people were coming from the research institute, and a few even saw me. However, they didn't seem to suspect me, which reassured me a lot.
In no time, I found the stairs and went up to the second floor.
I initially thought there would be fewer people on the second floor than on the first floor, but when I got up there, I realized I was wrong—there were even more people on the second floor! And the second floor seemed to be a place for gatherings, entertainment, and chatting, with quite a few people gathered there, which made me a little bewildered.
I glanced up at the stairs and saw people chatting. I didn't know whether I should go up or not.
No one from the first floor came up, so it looks like I'll just have to wait.
I don't know if the news that Wu Shuang is being held on the third floor is true, but now I have no choice but to take the risk. What those two guys said before should be true. Wu Shuang and Li Sanyang are not in a cooperative relationship, but rather a hostage and kidnapper relationship.
I waited on the stairs for about ten minutes before the two people at the bottom left. Then, I seized the opportunity and ran upstairs. The people on the second floor were all talking and chatting amongst themselves and didn't notice me at all.
I made it to the third floor without any problems.
