I wish I could turn back time and spend every single moment with you in the past.

...

Wu Shuang stood at the window, her face rosy, and she seemed to be perfectly fine.

But there was no smile on her face. The moment she saw me, her eyes even reddened and tears streamed down her face, which was heartbreaking to see.

"What should we do when it's time?"

She murmured to herself as the wind lashed against the windowpane, making a rustling sound.

I was speechless for a moment, looking into her eyes, my heart trembling. Nothing I said now would help. A couple of days ago she was weak, and although I was worried, I wasn't afraid. But now, I was truly terrified.

I couldn't hold back any longer, and tears streamed down my face like a burst dam.

Wu Shuang came from the window to the door, wiped the tears from my face, and said with a wry smile, "Don't cry. What am I supposed to do if even you cry?"

The Wu Shuang of today is completely different from the girl she was a few days ago. Now, she seems as strong as a rock.

I wiped away my tears, took her hand, and asked, "Would you like to go up the mountain?"

"Mmm." She nodded with a smile, wiping away the tears from the corners of her eyes.

I held her hand tightly, not wanting to let go.

We arrived at the entrance of the scenic area.

Yan Zhengfeng killed all the monsters around the scenic area in the past few days, and he patrols the area every day, so it is very safe. Otherwise, I would not have brought Wu Shuang out with me.

As for Yan Zhengfeng, I don't want to think about him right now. Since he hasn't come looking for trouble with me, I'm too lazy to bother with him.

Walking along the mountain path, the scenery on the mountain is magnificent. Although it is winter, the whole mountain is still incredibly lush. When the wind blows, the whole mountain seems to come alive.

Wu Shuang suddenly asked, "Can you tell me what happened after we left the air-raid shelter? I want to know."

"Okay, then I'll tell you what happened back then."

I took her hand and we walked up the mountain.

We were like a normal couple, chatting and laughing, loving and hating each other.

"After we got the medicine, Fei Lichao and Pu Weichao held off the monsters...the zombies, and told me to run ahead and wait for them at the back door of the hospital. But on my way to the back door, I ran into someone. Guess who it was?" I asked.

Wu looked puzzled, thought for a long time, then his eyes lit up and he said, "Could it be Yan Zhengfeng!"

I asked with a smile, "Why do you think it's him?"

Wu Shuang said, "Because after you left, Yan Zhengfeng's wife and children died, and then he himself disappeared, so I think it's possible that it was him!"

I chuckled and playfully pinched her nose, saying, "You're so clever! That's right, it's him!"

"And then, what happened?"

I sighed and said, "Then, he tried to kill me..."

"Ah!" Wu Shuang exclaimed in surprise, covering my mouth. "Why?"

I said helplessly, "What else could it be? He thought I was responsible for the deaths of his wife and children, so he planned to kill me to avenge them."

Upon hearing this, Wu Shuang exclaimed indignantly, "He's being completely unreasonable!"

"There's no way around it." Immediately, I analyzed Yan Zhengfeng's psychological state at the time, which helped Wu Shuang get rid of this tangled problem. Then I asked Wu Shuang if Yan Zhengfeng had harmed her when the air-raid shelter was captured.

Wu Shuang shook his head and said, "Actually, Yan Zhengfeng didn't harm me at the time. When he saw me deviate from the route, he wanted to come and help me. In the end, he also deviated from the route. Later, he even saved me several times. But I was still weak and got bitten, and then fell into the hands of those two soldiers."

I was surprised to hear this answer.

However, I didn't dwell on this issue for long.

I told you about what happened after I met Li Qiming, then Zhong Jianzhou was taken away, I met Gao Feng, and so on, and finally I broke into Tiande Pharmaceutical Company to rescue him.

However, there's one thing I didn't mention about Tiande Pharmaceutical Company: being locked in the glass room by Zhang Jianzhou. Just thinking about it is terrifying. Although it's all in the past, I suspect Wu Shuang will be very worried if I bring it up.

Before we knew it, we had reached the top of the mountain.

Wu Shuang looked at her surroundings, closed her eyes, took a breath, and felt very comfortable.

I secretly took out my phone and went up to her to take a picture.

Click!

As soon as the sound rang out, Wu Shuang opened her eyes, pointed at me with a grin, and exclaimed, "Ah! You took a picture of me without my permission!"

"There's no sneaking photos!" I held up my phone and kept snapping photos of Wu Shuang.

"Yes, there is!" Wu Shuang rushed over and tried to snatch the phone from my hand.

"I'm taking this photo openly and honestly!!" I laughed and tried to run away, but Wu Shuang caught me red-handed.

"Don't run away! I want to take pictures too! I need my phone!" Wu Shuang shouted.

"Okay, okay, here you go." I pretended to give her the phone, but then I turned on the front camera and snapped a few photos the instant I handed it to her.

Wu Shuang covered her face and said angrily, "You bad guy!"

In that instant, we forgot the future, forgot ourselves, forgot the past; only you and I remained, going mad on this mountaintop.

...

"You bastard, I'm going to take a picture of you!"

"Okay, okay, I'll take the picture for you, don't be angry, don't be angry, come here, give me a kiss."

"Kiss you my foot!"

"I am your ghost!"

...

"I'm so tired, shall we take a break?"

"Hmm, there's a rock over there, let's go over there."

"Sit down, I want to lean on your lap, just like when we were in the hospital."

I was taken aback for a moment, then replied, "Okay."

...

Before we knew it, the sun was setting. We leaned against that big rock. The sunset in the distance was more beautiful than we had imagined. Mackerel clouds covered the sky. The wind blew in and messed up our hair.

"Will you take me to see the sunrise tomorrow morning?"

"Okay, I promise you."

The sun had set halfway down when we started to walk back. We wanted to watch it completely disappear behind the mountains, but it would be too dark by then, and it would be too dangerous to go back. So we had to leave now.

We were all exhausted on the way back.

Wu Shuang's face turned deathly pale again.

Halfway there, I carried her on my back for the rest of the journey. When we returned to the scenic area, I saw Pu Weichao looking at us with concern.

I smiled back at him.

He didn't say anything.

I escorted Wu Shuang back to her room, and just as I was about to leave, Wu Shuang grabbed me and said, "Give me your phone, I want to see the photos."

I took my phone out of my pocket and placed it on her wound.

Only then did he leave.

Upon arriving outside, Pu Weichao was in the corridor.

"Wu Shuang, she..."

I said, "There's no time."

Pu Weichao sighed.

I said, "Could you do me a favor tomorrow morning?"
