Chapter 195 Leaving the Nest
When Ron took Ellie to the stairs, Hela was already waiting there. She seemed to have received the news first.
"How's it going? Ellie." She came over to help him.
"I feel dizzy." Ellie spoke intermittently, with a strange blush on her face, and her whole body leaned limply against Ron.
“You guys.” Hela hesitated to speak, her expression complicated.
"Go out first." Ron winked at her.
Abu was watching closely from a distance, but did not say anything to stop him.
There was a mirror in the aisle behind him, and Ron's intuition told him that Mrs. Elizabeth was peeping at them from behind.
Hela had told him that most places in the palace had special passages through which Lady Elizabeth could observe the guests' every move at any time.
Maybe there was one in the room Ellie had just been in, but she was holding up Hela at that time and probably had no chance to watch Ron's performance.
Ron and Hela supported Ellie and quickly went downstairs. Abu, who had been staring at them, had disappeared without them knowing.
Anil, who was waiting on the first floor, breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the three people.
He had been listening carefully, and as long as he heard Ron's cry, he would lead his men to rush forward regardless of the consequences.
The few of them did not linger here, but walked quickly towards the street gate where a car was waiting for them.
But someone stopped them at the door. It was Abu.
He was white and beardless and stared straight at Ron, his eyes filled with disgust, resentment, and a sense of coldness.
This is also a mentally twisted pervert, just like Mrs. Elizabeth, Ron made an instant judgment.
He didn't know where the eunuch's hatred came from, maybe it was the same old story of the master humiliating the minister and killing him.
Who cares? Ron responded with a contemptuous look. Other bigwigs were afraid of Lady Elizabeth, but he wasn't. He had no leverage in the palace.
Just now, the damn eunuch upstairs had tricked him. Once he left the palace, it was hard to say who had the final say.
Abu said nothing. He handed Ron a large sealed envelope and then stepped aside.
This time, Lady Elizabeth kept her promise and did not make things difficult for them.
They had no time to care about anything else, and Ron only breathed a sigh of relief after sending Ellie into the car.
Turning around, I saw that the gate of the palace was closed.
"Ellie, how are you? Did the people there do anything to you?" Hela kept calling.
She felt a little guilty. Ellie was a good girl, and she was worried that the palace would use those torture methods.
"No, I've only been here two days. Luckily you came in time." Ellie's head was still a little dizzy. "It's just that my throat is hurting. That guy kept asking me to scream and wouldn't stop. By the way, who is this bastard? I think he peed in my wine glass."
Ron, sitting next to her, was both angry and amused. This girl was indeed rebellious and thick-skinned.
"You should thank me for this pee, otherwise you would still be trapped in the palace."
"What! You're such a disgusting bastard! You drank whiskey mixed with urine and then stole a kiss from me, right? Ugh~ damn." Ellie began to dry heave.
"Hey!" Hela patted Ron with a reproachful look.
Ron laughed out loud. This silly girl actually believed it.
"I would rather you fuck me than kiss me with your mouth." Ellie screamed in despair.
"He's teasing you. How could he do such a thing?" Hela explained helplessly. "By the way, what you just meant was that you didn't..."
"No!" Ellie shouted immediately, "We were acting. I fell asleep at that time and he woke me up."
Suddenly she stopped and stared at Ron with her beautiful sky-blue eyes. "My friend, are you also a eunuch like that weirdo?"
Ron was stunned. What the hell?
Hela laughed so hard that she fell backwards. She had never been happier than today.
"I suddenly feel very regretful. I should have known I shouldn't have woken you up. You know, I can do a lot of things."
"Hmph." Ellie wrinkled her small nose, seeming to realize that she had said something stupid.
This guy is quite nice.
Well, she suddenly didn't hate him so much anymore.
"By the way, Ellie said she fell asleep. How did you recognize her? You don't know how nervous I was when Lady Elizabeth asked me to stay. I was almost going crazy!"
Hila could only force herself to remain calm at the time. She knelt on the cushion, pressing her thighs with both hands, as if to comfort herself.
She hadn't expected Lady Elizabeth to act like this, and she hadn't had time to describe Ellie's appearance to Ron.
She thought that after a simple negotiation, they could take Ellie away.
Today's events were almost completely messed up.
"Have you forgotten my other identity?" Ron said with a hint of pride. "They call me Dr. Soul."
“Oh!” Hela’s eyes lit up.
"Doctor?" Ellie frowned.
The cognitive span from eunuch to doctor is a bit too big for her.
"When alcohol is mixed with monoamine oxidase inhibitors, which are antidepressants, there's an unusual smell. It's a very strange smell that's enough to wake you up from a sweet dream."
"So you didn't pee in the wine glass?" Ellie's eyes lit up.
"Hey, do you have any misunderstanding about me?" Ron looked at her sharply.
"That's good, that's good! I won't hold it against you for kissing me secretly." She smiled happily.
“You’re amazing!” Hela hugged his arm, a smile from the heart on her face, a smile that was filled with pride.
"Hela, is this guy your boyfriend?" Ellie asked suddenly.
"Why do you say that?"
"You have to be careful with him, this guy doesn't look like a good person."
"I'm still here," Ron glanced at her dissatisfiedly, "I even saved you just now."
"You're a fake gentleman," Ellie muttered, but soon declared loudly, "I want to stay in Mumbai. I love this city!"
"No! You have to leave tomorrow. I've already bought your plane ticket." Hela objected.
"My embassy passport will be ready soon. My family will definitely take care of it. They won't dare to do anything to me." Ellie didn't care.
"Let me make it clear first, if you end up in the palace again, I won't save you again," Ron reminded.
"Why?"
"How foolish! It's useless to save her no matter how many times I try. Besides, I offended that Lady Elizabeth today. Her servant hates me to death."
“I don’t care, I want to stay. Hela, I like you!”
The two women next to him were arguing, so Ron simply looked through the letter in his hand, the one that Abu gave him.
Ron examined the front and back of the envelope. It was made of handmade paper, pink, and slightly larger than the palm of his hand.
It was completely blank, with no words written on it. Ron tore off a corner, opened the envelope, and found a black and white photo inside.
A photo of an interior room with dim lighting and many expensive decorations from different eras and cultures.
Among the items that could be placed in a messy manner, there was a woman sitting on a chair that resembled a throne.
She wore a floor-length evening gown that covered her feet, one hand resting on an armchair while the other gestured like a king waving or gracefully dismissing a subordinate.
She had golden hair, styled in a carefully groomed style, and her long, drooping curls framed her round and slightly plump face.
Her almond-shaped eyes stared directly into the camera, a look of surprise and indignation that made her seem a bit neurotic. Her cherry lips pouted firmly, pulling her delicate chin upwards.
Is this Lady Elizabeth? The stunningly beautiful woman?
Ron didn't think so. To him, that staring face looked more like arrogance, resentment, fear, indulgence and narcissism.
There was also a line of big red words printed at the bottom of the photo: Mrs. Elizabeth is very happy now.
"Did you receive her photo?" Hela saw what was in Ron's hand.
"I feel like she's living in the last world."
"I hate this photo." Ellie frowned. The person in the photo made her feel uncomfortable.
"There are so many people in Mumbai who would love to have her. Those who receive her photo are all important figures here."
"I don't want to be her boss." Ron shrugged and handed the photo to Hela.
“It was really uncomfortable talking to her.” She accepted the photo.
"Where are we going next?" Ellie asked excitedly.
"I have to go back to Suhl Electric, there are still many things to deal with."
"What?" Ellie stared at him curiously with her sky-blue eyes.
"Just drop us off downstairs at the apartment building. Ellie will stay at my place tonight."
"What about this guy?" Ellie asked.
"I'm going, where are you going to sleep?" Ron rolled his eyes in annoyance.
“Actually, there is room,” Hela said suddenly. “My apartment has more than one room.”
Huh, Ron blinked, he knew what Hela was thinking.
It was already evening when they went to the palace, and it was getting even later now.
Forget it, there are not many things I can handle if I go back to Suer Electric Appliances now.
So Ron made a gesture and the Ford headed straight for Colaba.
As soon as they arrived at the apartment, Hela pulled Ron into the room.
“Don’t take it off, I like this dress!” Hela shouted.
She loved Ron's outfit so much that she couldn't wait a moment.
Ellie, who was eavesdropping at the door, curled her lips. Her scream was not pleasant at all, not as good as her performance in the palace just now.
Damn it, that bastard actually woke me up.
If only he wasn't a doctor, he wouldn't have had a choice then.
After making Hela scream all night, Ron came and left the apartment early the next morning.
When Ellie went out, she had dark circles under her eyes and was very dissatisfied with him.
Ron pretended not to notice. The girl might just be in a bad mood because she couldn't stay in Mumbai.
Why don't you just go back to Switzerland and be a rich girl? You're so distracted by coming to Mumbai. What a fool!
Ron had something important to do. He wanted to buy land, the large piece of wasteland north of Sur Electric.
Mumbai at that time was not as crowded as it would be in later generations, with a population of less than 15 million, instead of the later 26 million.
There are still large tracts of barren land in the central region north of South Mumbai and in the northern suburbs.
Even after the millennium, there are not many people in the famous top new areas such as Bandra and Juhu.
If he doesn't take action now, he will be doing a great disservice to his savings of tens of millions of rupees.
At the end of 1993, India's economy had just been liberalized for two years, and many grassroots businessmen had not yet made their fortunes.
Ron was already one step ahead, and as long as he could take over that piece of land, he would almost be able to have his dinner at the table.
PS: Stop talking about updates T_T, the author is already working very hard on writing.
There will be one to two weeks of updates every month from now on, and there really can't be more than that.
I am currently accumulating manuscripts and will update them later.
