Just as Zhao Tinghai was about to curse, he looked up and saw that the person in the car was his nephew Zhao Gang. Just as he was about to ask, he heard a loud booming sound behind him, and a large amount of smoke and dust rose up. Black smoke covered the entire sky, and thick black fog continued to spew out from the No. 5 mine.
Zhao Tinghai turned around, intending to go back to his office to retrieve the ore, but seeing the black mist spreading extremely quickly, he didn't care about anything else and simply opened the car door and jumped into the car.
The moment the car door closed, Zhao Gang floored the accelerator, and the car shot out of the mine in an arc.
The laborers and mine guards they encountered along the way all looked panicked and began searching for vehicles in the mine to try and escape.
However, the black fog swept in so fast that it enveloped half of the entire mining area in an instant.
The moment the workers were enveloped in the black fog inhaled it, they immediately felt a suffocating sensation in their chests, followed by a burning sensation in their throats.
Then their skin began to ulcerate, they had difficulty breathing, and they coughed violently incessantly, blood gushing from the corners of their mouths. They desperately clutched their throats, trying to get a breath of fresh air, but the black mist seemed to choke them like a giant hand.
Zhao Tinghai looked around in panic. Suddenly, the car slammed on the brakes. Zhao Gang, with a look of fear on his face, slowly raised his hands.
"Open the door! Let us up, or we won't let you leave!"
Several guards looked panicked and pointed their guns at Zhao Tinghai and his companion. As soon as Zhao opened the car door, the guards rushed into the car and pulled the door open.
"Drive! Drive now!"
Zhao Gang swallowed hard, then floored the accelerator, and the car sped off.
So much had happened in such a short time that Zhao Tinghai couldn't keep up, so he turned around and asked what had happened.
