Chapter 361 Each Sweep His Own Doorstep

The bald man sat in his room, listening to his men say that the timber in the back mountain had been emptied by someone, and his brows furrowed.

He gritted his teeth in anger, his eyes fixed on the direction of the East District, cursing under his breath.

"You son of a bitch. Don't think you're so great just because you had some skills before. I don't believe that no one can deal with you. I don't believe that other camps aren't short of wood. I'm going to fight you to the death this time. Let's see how long you can hold out."

After uttering that curse, the bald man's head was immediately covered in bulging veins, and the walnut he was playing with made a crackling sound as he rubbed it. The people standing next to him were so frightened that they dared not breathe.

"You guys go find Huang Feng."

The people nearby exchanged glances, wondering what the bald man wanted to see Huang Feng for. One of them whispered, "Bro, why do we need Huang Feng? This guy has been eyeing our resources for a while now. Would it be a bit inappropriate to recruit him?"

"What the hell is going on? You're still talking to me about whether it's appropriate or not? What's inappropriate about it? That bastard Lu Yuan dared to take everything away, so why can't we find someone else to deal with him? Instead, you're notifying Huang Feng. Tell him that there's a lot of timber and food in Lu Yuan's camp, and we should join forces to take them down."

The people next to him felt a sense of fear, but they didn't dare to voice any objections. In the entire West District, Baldy was practically all-powerful, and no one dared to disobey him. If anyone displeased Baldy, their only fate would be death.

The group changed into heavy windproof cotton-padded clothes and left the camp.

Everyone harbored their own secrets, secretly plotting their next move, knowing the journey would be fraught with peril. No one knew where to find Huang Feng.

Finally, a short young man gently lifted the scarf covering his mouth and nose and said, "We still can't determine the location of Huangfeng's camp. Why don't we split up?"

Upon hearing this, everyone nodded in satisfaction, as everyone had their own thoughts.

In the entire western district, the current environment is basically one where everyone fights their own battles. Although Baldy is nominally the leader of the entire camp, very few people obey him. Everyone is thinking about whether they can escape from here, but where to go is another problem.

Whether other camps will accept them, or how they should join other camps, which camp is better to join, and what the benefits and treatment are in each camp are all issues they need to consider. However, everyone knows that if there are more people, the other camps will definitely suffer greater losses, so they prefer to fight on their own.

So everyone started to move in batches. The short young man stayed nearby for a while before finding a sheltered opening and squeezing inside.

As he watched the others slowly disappear from his sight, a smug look appeared on his lips.

"They've all left, so I can relax now. I hope everyone can accept me again. This time, there shouldn't be any problems."

Thinking this, the young man slowly walked out of the ravine and ran towards the eastern district.

Knock, knock, knock—the entrance to the cave in the eastern district was being pounded on.

After a long while, a voice came from inside.

Who is it?

The young man quickly swallowed and shouted.

"It's me. I'm from the West District. I have something I want to discuss with Boss Lu."

The people inside frowned immediately when they heard that the people were from the West District.

"Boss Lu won't see you, you'd better leave now."

Upon hearing this, the young man felt a chill in his heart. He hadn't even met Boss Lu yet, and he had already been turned away, which made him feel somewhat resentful.

"No, I finally escaped this time. If I go back empty-handed, Baldy will definitely kill me. Since I'm going to die anyway, I might as well take a gamble and see if their camp will accept me."

Thinking of this, the young man gritted his teeth and knocked on the door again.

"I have something important to discuss with Boss Lu. It concerns the life and death of the entire camp. Please let me in."

The people inside squatted behind the door, looking at each other in bewilderment. Listening to the shouts from outside, they were all unsure of what to do.

"Should we open the door and let him in? What if it really is something serious?"

"I don't think any of the people in the West District have good intentions. Let's not let him take the opportunity to sneak in and cause trouble for our people."

"Why don't we just ask him through the wall what it is? If it really concerns the life and death of the entire camp, then we'll open the door for him."

After discussing it for a while, the group finally shouted over the wall, "Tell us what it is, or we won't let you in."

The young man was so angry he could barely contain himself, but the cold wind outside was unbearable. If he continued to stay there, he might freeze to death in the valley.

"The bald guy is planning to join forces with other camps to attack our camp. Surely that will let me in?"

Upon hearing the young man's words, everyone's eyes widened in disbelief. They couldn't believe that this bald man had such audacity to join forces with others to attack their camp. It was simply a case of biting the hand that feeds you.

"That damn bald guy, he's a traitor! We have to tell the boss about this, otherwise we won't be able to deal with those people when they arrive."
