After saying that, Lu Yuan put down the walkie-talkie and shouted to everyone, "Brothers! We've spotted a great rift valley ahead! Everyone, full speed ahead!"
At the command, everyone, as if injected with adrenaline, excitedly drove their snowmobiles forward at high speed.

Lu Yuan got off the snowmobile and walked towards the direction of the vanguard team.
The vanguard team members stood at the edge of the Great Rift Valley, cautiously looking ahead.
Hearing footsteps behind them, everyone immediately stood up.
"Mr. Lu, look! This great rift valley is just too wide! We simply can't get across it right now!"
Lu Yuan walked closer and looked at the cliff opposite the rift valley.
The width of this great rift valley is so vast, stretching for over thirty kilometers, that it's like an abyss with no end in sight.
The bottom of the rift valley was unfathomable, and it was impossible to see what was below. It felt as if a giant axe had cleaved the earth in two.
So the members of the research team next to them took out their respective equipment and began to observe the Great Rift Valley.
Lu Yuan stood leisurely to the side, admiring the scenery.
If this place existed before the apocalypse, it might have been a very beautiful tourist attraction, definitely a must-visit destination during holidays.
The surrounding area is covered in snow, and the colorful rock formations on the rift valley walls are breathtaking.
Shortly after, several team members came over, carrying test reports.
“Mr. Lu, we have already inspected this great rift valley. We cannot yet determine its depth, mainly because the underlying structure is extremely unstable, and the laser rangefinder cannot reach the bottom! However, we have now determined the width of this great rift valley, which is approximately thirty-two kilometers!”
Lu Yuan nodded slightly: "It's so far! Did you notice anything unusual?"
"Not yet! We are still analyzing the rock samples from these rock layers. They appear to be rock layers from beneath the Earth's crust, but due to the major earthquake, these rock layers have been exposed!"

So the group split into two groups and headed in opposite directions.
The expert team stayed behind to analyze the ore samples from these rock layers.
Lu Yuan held the walkie-talkie and began contacting the other nine teams.
"Each group, please report your current situation and location!"
Before long, a well-organized report came through the walkie-talkie.
"Reporting to Mr. Lu, the first team has reached the edge of the Great Rift Valley and is analyzing the nearby rock layers!"
"Reporting to Mr. Lu, the second team has safely arrived at the Great Rift Valley, and we are currently leading people to survey the surrounding terrain!"
"Reporting to Mr. Lu, the entire third team has arrived at the Great Rift Valley. We are preparing to go down to collect some mineral samples for analysis!"

Hearing that all the teams had arrived safely, Lu Yuan immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
After a moment of contemplation, he said, "All groups, do not go down into the rift for now. Be careful and watch out for monsters. If anyone discovers a way to reach the other side of the rift, please report it immediately!"
After making the arrangements, Lu Yuan looked at the bottomless chasm.
"Such a deep rift! If only there were a river below! But there's nothing here at all! Sigh!"
Thinking about this, Lu Yuan suddenly felt a headache coming on; it would be very troublesome to get there from such a long distance.
Their eastward advance was blocked by this rift valley, which could potentially delay them for too long.
