Chapter 789 Countermeasures against Harold

After running for about ten minutes, Lu Yuan finally caught up with the people in front of him.

These people seemed to be fleeing to avoid being wiped out in one fell swoop. Lu Yuan only caught up with two of them. The moment Lu Yuan caught them, these two people immediately tried to draw their daggers and stab themselves.

Fortunately, Lu Yuan reacted quickly and kicked the dagger out of the other party's hand.

"Trying to run? Where do you think you're going!"

Lu Yuan kicked one of the men's kneecaps again, shattering it, and then chased after the other man.

The man dodged and weaved through the woods, trying to slow Lu Yuan down, but he didn't expect Lu Yuan's speed to be beyond that of an ordinary person. He caught up with Lu Yuan in just a few seconds.

Lu Yuan threw him to the ground, took out a rope from his dimensional space, and tied the two of them together.

About a minute later, Zhou Tong's group of talents couldn't catch up.

"Damn it, those bastards got away."

Lu Yuan kicked the two men who were yelling at his feet.

"Fortunately, we found two people. Let's take them back for interrogation and see which tribe they belong to."

Zhou Tong immediately nodded and then ordered the soldiers behind him to take the two men back.

Screams echoed from inside the interrogation room. Lu Yuan stood quietly at the door, while large beads of sweat dripped down Chen Han's face.

A few minutes later, Zhou Tong walked out of the interrogation room, covered in sweat.

"Well, it's about time to start the interrogation. By the way, let's find a good translator, otherwise Fang Yuan might not be able to handle such a bloody scene."

Lu Yuan nodded and was about to call for help when he saw a woman carrying a camera running over from behind.

Fang Yuan gasped for breath, a hint of anxiety on her face.

"I heard you captured prisoners, so I'd like to make a documentary. Where are they?"

Lu Yuan pointed to the interrogation room next to him: "The interrogation is all over. We were just thinking about whether to call you over, but it seems you're not too afraid of bloody scenes, right?"

Fang Yuan's face suddenly paled for a moment, but she still nodded firmly in the end: "I can hold back. Where is he? Take me in. I can act as a translator while filming the documentary!"

Lu Yuan nodded and led Fang Yuan into the interrogation room.

Hanging on racks in the interrogation room were two men who were barely recognizable as human. Blood dripped from their bodies, several teeth were knocked out, and their bruised and swollen faces made it difficult to identify where they came from. Their bodies were covered with whip marks, indicating that the torture they had just endured must have been extremely painful.

Lu Yuan turned to look at Zhou Tong: "Shall we begin the interrogation now?"

Zhou Tong nodded, then nodded to the team member who was administering the punishment. The team member then picked up a bucket of ice water that had just been melted with snow and poured it directly onto the two men.

The icy water poured over the two men caused them to shiver uncontrollably.

After the two regained some of their senses, Lu Yuan finally spoke and asked.

Which camp are you from?

However, after the question was asked, neither of them responded.

Zhou Tong, of course, wouldn't tolerate these people. He stood up and punched one of them in the stomach, causing the man to immediately spit out a mouthful of blood.

"Damn it, you cannibal and you still dare to talk back to me here? If I hadn't brought you here as prisoners, I would have killed you long ago! You cannibals and you even know who we humans are!"

After another beating, the man finally gave in.

“I’ll tell you everything! We’re from Harold’s camp. We’re running out of food over there. Harold’s boss told us to find our own food outside.”

We heard that many Chinese people had come here, and that they had plenty of food. So we've been observing them from the outside for the past few days, but we've discovered that not only do they have no food, but they've also taken the adults' prey back with them.

We were starving, that's why we went into the camp to capture people. Really, this is our first time. Please, spare us, spare us, or at least give us a quick death!

Upon hearing this, Lu Yuan and Zhou Tong couldn't help but exchange a glance: "Well, I didn't expect Harold's side to actually be after us!"

"Yeah, I was a bit surprised before. Why are these people always staying? Turns out they're deliberately trying to dodge the question. I knew there were always fewer people in the camp lately!"

Then Zhou Tong waved to Chen Han outside, and Chen Han quickly ran in.

"Have you taken any statistics during this period? How many people have gone missing from our camp in total?"

Chen Han quickly took out a small notebook from his chest pocket, flipped through a few pages, did a quick calculation, and said, "According to statistics, we have lost twenty-three people in this forest during this period!"

"Twenty-three people? Well, I didn't expect so much to have happened while I was away! It seems it's time to take action against Harold's camp!"

Zhou Tong nodded slightly: "We have to teach them a lesson, otherwise they'll think we're easy to mess with. They come here looking for food, and when they can't find food, they eat our people. What kind of logic is that? Damn it, they deserve to die! I hate cannibalism the most!"

Seeing Zhou Tong's angry expression, Lu Yuan gently waved his hand: "Old Zhou, don't be anxious. I don't think this matter is that simple. After all, the other side has a lot of people. If a conflict really breaks out with more than 50,000 people, we will also suffer serious injuries. It's not worth fighting them head-on!"
