Chapter 113 Teasing Conan

As he talked, Conan also felt a little less confident. It was even possible to break through physiological limitations and shrink, so it seemed that divination was not something that could be disbelieved.

Kōyū had already thought of a way to deal with the curious child. Anyway, with Akako, the witch, around, Kōyū was very confident in making up this excuse.

"What? You don't believe me? Go find Hongzi to do a divination for you and see if you believe it or not."

Hattori held these things in awe, preferring to believe they were true rather than not. The fortune slips in the temple were proof of this, their accuracy bordering on the bizarre.

Seeing that he had gotten away with it, Guangyou was secretly delighted: "Thank you, Hongzi! Thank you, magic!"

If he hadn't managed to fool them, Guangyou wouldn't have known how to explain it. Compared to time travel, divination was much more acceptable.

...

As night deepened, Hattori and Kazuha took a plane back to Osaka, Ran and Sonoko went home, and Kousuke used the excuse of going to Professor Agasa's house to leave first, but then returned unexpectedly.

...

The ward was completely dark. Conan was thinking about something because he couldn't sleep. His brows were furrowed, and he would occasionally smile.

The hospital's security lulled him into a false sense of security, but a muffled sound outside the ward door jolted him awake.

Following that voice came another voice that sounded very familiar to Conan: "Conan, run!"

"Kuangyou?" Conan exclaimed in surprise. He had no intention of running away, nor did he have anywhere to run.

He stared at the door of the ward, his eyes sharp, and swallowed hard. As the ward door slowly opened, Conan used the moonlight streaming in through the window to see who had entered.

He said in a flat tone: "Haibara?"

Ai walked in slowly, holding a gun. Although there was moonlight, it was still too dark for him to identify the model of the pistol.

Ai slowly walked to the bedside and sat down. Her face was very calm, and her eyes revealed coldness.

The pistol was aimed at Conan, a flash of silver light passing through the barrel, which made Conan's eyes widen: "A real gun!"

Ai said apologetically, "I'm so sorry, it seems that my body has black blood just like theirs."

"What?"

"Don't you understand?" Ai chuckled. "My true identity has been exposed. In order to make amends and survive, of course I have to silence you, the famous detective."

Ai's tone was lighthearted: "I'm sorry, Great Detective, but I had no other choice but to do this in order to survive and escape the organization."

"What about Mitsuyu? What about the professor?!" Conan knew that Mitsuyu hadn't gone back, and the gunshot just now made Conan's heart jump.

Ai narrowed her eyes slightly: "Kuangyou? He's lying at the door. The Doctor was taken hostage by them, so I really had no choice. It was for survival, Great Detective. You should be able to understand, right? To repay you, I will make sure you don't see your relatives and friends die tragically, because you will go to hell first!"

Conan paused for a moment, then said very seriously, "You can kill me, but I hope you'll spare the people I know. You've already hurt Mitsuyoshi a lot! Don't involve others!"

"Oh my, how touching. Sacrificing oneself for righteousness? Tsk tsk, I'll do my best to make them die a quick death."

Conan braced himself with his hands, trying to get up quickly: "You!"

Ai raised her chin and said with a smile, "Goodbye, Great Detective!"

"Bang!"
