It's a pity that I've searched for it but never found it.
If you haven't looked for it or seen it, either you've accidentally forgotten about it, or you simply didn't care about it at all.
"No."
Speaking of this, Dr. Agasa felt a little embarrassed.
He scratched his already thinning hair sheepishly and said:
"Because I really can't remember where that 'place full of memories' is."
These words earned Professor Agasa several disdainful looks.
"Speaking of which, isn't November 24th today?" Genta remembered today's date.
"And if you count it, this year will be the fortieth year, right?" Mitsuhiko calculated the time.
They also knew Professor Agasa's age.
It is already known that Professor Agasa was in the sixth grade of elementary school back then.
Knowing Professor Agasa's age and the approximate time period, it's not difficult to deduce this.
It was just too much of a coincidence.
Today is November 24th, exactly forty years from now.
“Maybe that girl is still waiting for the Doctor in that ‘place full of memories’ today!” Ayumi and the other two said in unison.
Just as they were feeling happy about this, Ai suddenly poured cold water on their joy:
"But most importantly, the doctor can't remember exactly where it is."
After saying that, Ai couldn't help but glance at someone who couldn't even remember a place.
"I'm so sorry," Dr. Agasa said, forcing a smile and sounding quite embarrassed.
Conan, who has known Professor Agasa for over a decade and understands him very well, couldn't help but retort:
"So the Doctor has always been so oblivious to these kinds of things."
He knew that Professor Agasa was a bit slow-witted.
It's not because of any illness, nor because of old age.
Conan didn't dare to say it before, but ever since he met Professor Agasa, Professor Agasa has been like this.
"Hehehe..." Dr. Agasa scratched his head, using laughter to defuse the awkwardness.
People are very willing to help with this kind of thing.
Especially today, which happens to be the ten-year promise between Professor Agasa and that little girl named Kinoshita.
Moreover, if you miss today, you'll have to wait another ten years.
Regardless of whether they succeed or not, they wanted to lend a hand.
The current problem is:
Where exactly is that "place full of memories"?
That will solve the problem.
So, apart from Zhiqing's Guangyou and Xiao Ai, the rest of them started brainstorming:
"Could it be in front of the house where they keep a big dog?"
The two met there and continued to run into each other there afterward.
That's certainly possible.
There is another guess.
"So, is this the home of the friend who keeps a golden hamster?"
The golden hamster at her friend's house was key to Dr. Agasa's help in overcoming the little girl's psychological trauma.
That's possible.
However, both of these possibilities were rejected by Dr. Agasa.
Professor Agasa also considered these two possibilities back then.
So, for the first ten years, he waited for an entire day at the door of the Noi family's house, the house of the family that kept a large dog.
But no one came.
In the second decade, he stayed at the Chōno family's house a day early, the house of the man who kept the golden hamster.
Unfortunately, he still didn't get to see it.
The trail seems to have ended there.
There are two possibilities facing everyone:
The first possibility is that Ms. Kinoshita forgot the ten-year promise.
Ten years is not a short time; a lot can happen in that time.
It's normal to forget.
The second possibility is that she is waiting for Professor Agasa somewhere else.
However, Professor Agasa simply didn't know about this place.
People are more inclined to believe the second possibility.
With no new clues, everyone put aside their speculation about the location for the time being.
"Doctor, did that girl write to you again after that?" Ayumi asked.
Although they were separated, it did not prevent them from sending each other letters.
Who knows, there might be some clues in the letters that follow.
But Dr. Agasa shook his head and said:
"Although she knew my home address, my family moved to the countryside later."
"I see..." Ayumi felt a little disappointed.
"Doctor, why don't you just write her a letter?" Genta asked.
"I don't even know her address or name, how am I supposed to write a letter?" Professor Agasa was quite embarrassed and somewhat helpless.
He had also considered writing a letter to the girl himself.
But he doesn't know any of this information, so he can't very well ask the post office to investigate for him, can he?
"Huh?" Guangyou found this a bit outrageous. "You don't even know the address, let alone the name?"
“Her name is too long, so we all use abbreviations,” Professor Agasa explained. “I only remember that her name has ‘Kinoshita’ in it.”
"Hehehe..." Guangyou forced a few laughs, but didn't say anything.
But not knowing the name isn't a problem, Conan asked:
"Can't you just ask the school to find out?"
Speaking of this, Dr. Agasa became even more embarrassed, saying:
"I wanted to ask that too."
"But I kept forgetting to ask, and I kept wondering where that place was."
"So... well... I... hehehehe..."
After talking for a long time, Dr. Agasa still didn't say anything.
In the end, he could only use laughter to cover up his embarrassment.
However, everyone understood what Professor Agasa meant.
"Professor, you're really something!" Kōyū gave Professor Agasa a thumbs up.
