Chapter 14 The Coffee Shop Murder Case (First Encounter with Eri Kisaki) [Part 1]

Then, a woman pushed open the door of the coffee shop and walked in, leaving Guangyou completely stunned.

The woman wore glasses, her hair looked neat, and she was dressed in dark-colored clothes. Her long, white legs were visible under her pencil skirt; they were simply gorgeous.

Her lips, adorned with lipstick, added a touch of sexiness.

He exuded a slightly serious aura and had a strong presence, making Conan next to him appear somewhat unnatural.

Looking at Eri Kisaki's face, Kōyū felt that Uncle Mori must have accumulated a lot of good karma to be able to be with Eri Kisaki.

Is this why Uncle Mori keeps losing at horse racing?

Kwang-yu fell into deep thought...

However, Uncle Mori seems to be no simple character either. There are people who have been anesthetized hundreds of times without any reaction. The only explanation is that he used a trick against them.

Speaking of anesthesia, someone from my past life said that Uncle Mori had hundreds of needles stuck in his neck.

Guangyou once examined the needle closely. The needle was not made of the material of ordinary needles. When it was shot into a human body, it would melt because of the person's blood, and then the anesthetic liquid contained in the needle would enter the person's body and take effect.

Well, I digress. Back at the coffee shop, Conan curiously lay down on the sofa and looked at Eri Kisaki. Just one look and his face turned red. He said to Kouyu, "Wow, what a beauty!"

Eri Kisaki tidied up the file bag in her hand. She saw the handwriting of a law firm on the bag, and from the overall impression, Conan concluded that Eri Kisaki was a lawyer.

As Conan was thinking, Eri Kisaki gave him a sharp look. Conan hurriedly turned around and sat down, thinking, "Ran probably won't meet with the lawyer, right..."

At this moment, a burly man with bandages on his hand greeted the boss, clearly indicating that they were very familiar with each other.

The boss didn't stop what he was doing. He glanced at the man and said, "Mr. Dianshan, what happened to your finger?"

Dianshan raised his hand and said, "I accidentally broke it last week when I was practicing rugby. Luckily, my wedding ring got stuck, otherwise I would have lost it."

The first woman to enter was named Himeno Yayoi; Shiyou had overheard her name during their casual conversation.

Himeno Yayoi walked up to the owner and asked where the restroom was. Not caring that it was unisex, she simply opened the door and went inside.

Conan also felt he was meddling too much, and stared at the door, trying to see who Ran's date was.

At this moment, a young man who seemed to fit the criteria walked in; he was quite handsome.

The waiter walked up to the young man as usual and asked if he was waiting for someone.

The man, Shirou Wakaoji (or Shirou for short), looked around the shop and said, "I arranged to meet a girl here, but it seems she hasn't arrived yet."

After saying that, the waiter led Shirou to a secluded spot, where Shirou sat down and straightened his appearance.

Conan looked at Shirou with a murderous glint in his eyes, thinking: Could it be that Ran's date is him?

Shirou answered the phone, speaking flippantly to the person on the other end, "There was a pretty good one among the interns at the TV station last time. There aren't many girls that innocent these days. Women are like that—just a few sweet words to her…" A lewd smile spread across Shirou's face as he continued, "A few sweet words, and a woman is easily won over!"

Upon hearing this, Conan recalled the case where Uncle Mori was invited to participate in a detective show, and he seemed to conclude that this man was Ran's date. Conan's expression was very unpleasant, and he wished he could kick Shirou and teach him a lesson.

Conan twisted his power-enhancing shoes, just about to kick that playboy Shirou out, when the waiter said there was a phone call from Mr. Edogawa.

Kōyū walked up, picked up the phone, listened for a moment, and handed the receiver to Conan, saying, "Here, Ran is looking for you."

Conan answered the phone, but before he could speak, Ran said, "I'm sorry, Conan, the cash register at this store is broken and can't give me change. Could you please wait a little longer? Oh, by the way, did anyone call me earlier?"

Conan's face immediately fell, and he said, "Yes." He then looked at Shirou, who had his hair tied up, and continued, "Is it because your hair is long that you tied it up?"

Ran's excited voice reached Conan's ears: "Yes, yes, that's her!"

Conan watched the playboy enter the restroom and said helplessly, "Ran-neechan, please don't meet with people like that, okay?"

Xiaolan didn't respond to that question. She said, "Oh, it seems the cash register is fixed. I'll be right back!" Then she hung up the phone.

When Kōyū saw Conan hang up the phone reluctantly, he clenched his fists and muttered that he would teach that playboy a lesson when he came out.

At that moment, Shirou the playboy screamed.
