When Yoko is mentioned, Uncle Mori gets all excited.
"Miss Yoko said she invited you to the party, Dad."
Uncle Mori's eyebrows started to twitch.
"It seems like she's going to have an engagement party at one of her friends' houses."
Xiaolan honestly read the contents of the letter aloud.
Kōyū, sitting on the sofa, looked up at the increasingly distraught Uncle Mōri and couldn't help but laugh.
"Engaged...engaged?"
This news struck Uncle Mori like a thunderbolt, leaving him completely devastated.
"The person she got engaged to is a friend of hers, who said she's been wanting to meet Detective Mouri for a long time."
Xiaolan turned to her and asked, "Dad, you'll probably go, right?"
