Conan looked at Kid and pointed at the approaching helicopter: "Aren't you worried, Mr. Phantom Thief Kid? If you don't run away quickly, the helicopter will be here soon!"
Conan's plan was simple: while Kid was escaping, he would use his watch to fire tranquilizer darts to incapacitate him.
However, plans can't always go as expected. Conan looked at Kid, who pulled out a walkie-talkie from his pocket and said in Chaki Shintaro's voice, "Ah, this is Inspector Chaki. We've spotted Kaito Kid on the roof of the Beika Municipal Hotel! Anyone currently patrolling Beika and Beika Town, please proceed to the Beika Municipal Hotel immediately!"
Chaki Shintaro was stunned for a moment, then said, "Wait, that's not me! Come back here right now, that's a trap..."
"We have reached the airspace above the Beika Municipal Hotel and spotted the figure of Phantom Thief Kid. That voice seems to be the evil voice emanating from Phantom Thief Kid himself!"
Chaki Shintaro was even more confused, thinking: Holy crap, it's really there?
Ignoring the shocked Conan, Kid immediately spoke in another male voice: "Attention everyone on guard at the Beika Municipal Hotel, Kid is on the roof. Surround him!"
If Kōsuke were there, he would definitely recognize the owner of that voice as Nakamori Aoko's father—Nakamori Ginzō!
Conan's pupils contracted slightly: Wow, that's amazing! Just like Mitsuyu, he can imitate any sound without any props! But what exactly is he trying to do?!
Conan wasn't the only one with this idea; Chaki Shintaro, who was still completely bewildered, also shared it.
With his back to the helicopter, Kidd's tone held a hint of mockery: "Are you satisfied now, little detective?"
