No matter how much these chefs gossip, it has nothing to do with Guangyou.
Anyway, coming to this restaurant was just a coincidence. These chefs are just a few passersby in my life. There's no need to argue. Focus on the present and make these dishes well.
"He seems to actually have some talent."
One of the men, a middle-aged man with glasses and a beard, stroked his chin and frowned.
"I don't know if his family members are in the same industry as us."
Another man, wearing a chef's hat and looking younger, nodded. "There are some things there, indeed."
"Looks like I'm going to have to spend some money."
The head chef who placed the bet gave a wry smile, while the other chefs grinned and said they could save money on several meals of drinks.
The manager, who had been watching Guangyou from the sidelines, felt reassured upon seeing this. Just then, a call came from the front of house over the walkie-talkie, and after giving repeated instructions, he left the kitchen.
The apprentice would occasionally turn to look at Guangyou, his eyes filled with envy.
They lack formal education and are unsuitable for office work. Their purpose in becoming apprentices at Japanese restaurants is to learn a skill so that they can eventually open their own shops and become small business owners.
What they envied was that Guangyou had such skillful techniques at such a young age.
They hadn't tasted it, nor had they had the chance to, but judging from the knife skills alone, this child's knife skills would definitely surpass their master's in the future.
Japanese food may look fancy, but the portions are pitifully small and ridiculously expensive.
So Guangyou even queued up to have two steaks grilled as his main course.
After changing his clothes, Guangyou asked the restaurant staff to take them into the private room.
On the way to the private room, a passing customer looked at the dishes the waiter was carrying, smelled the aroma, pointed to one of the dishes, and asked, "Excuse me, what is this dish called? Can I have one?"
The waiter looked embarrassed and had no choice but to tell the truth: "These are not our dishes. They were made by the guests themselves in the kitchen they rented."
"Where is that person? Can I see him?"
The customer was a man wearing gold-rimmed glasses and a suit; he looked quite sophisticated.
"Today is my mother's birthday, and I want her to eat something delicious."
After hearing what the customer said, the waiter was also in a bit of a dilemma, as it was somewhat impolite to make an introduction without the customer's consent.
"Okay, I'll do it for you."
The man glanced at Guangyou, who was still a child, and didn't know what to say for a moment. He also looked at the nodding waiter with some surprise.
"Let's forget about it."
The man made his decision without much thought.
But Guangyou didn't give him a chance to refuse and turned around and went straight back to the kitchen.
"I said I'd cook for you, so I'll cook for you. Don't say anything else. Just bring my food to my private room."
The man was left speechless, saying, "This kid seems to have more presence than me."
He went back to the kitchen and made another dish for the man. After having the waiter deliver the dish to him, he returned to his private room.
"What were you doing just now?"
Ai sat on the cushion, resting her chin on her hand, "The steak is almost cold."
"I just met an interesting man."
Guangyou smiled and sat down. "Let's eat first, and talk while we eat."
While eating, Kōyū told Ai about what had happened in the kitchen and about the man.
How does it taste?
Kōyū looked at Ai expectantly, even though he already knew the answer.
"Delicious as always."
Ai ate her steak with a faint smile on her face.
The answer he already knew still delighted him.
After enjoying this pleasant dinner, Kōyū and Ai prepared to go home.
After all, it's getting late, and I have to go to school tomorrow.
After seeing Ai to the door, the two of them just stared at each other.
Guangyou's face was full of conflict.
Ai hesitated for a moment, her delicate earlobes covered with fine downy hair turning slightly red, and her face felt a little hot: "Come closer, I have something to tell you."
"Go ahead and speak, it's just the two of us here."
Guangyou scratched his head, suddenly looking puzzled.
Xiao Ai's eyebrows shot up in anger. She's usually quite clever, so why is she acting so silly now!
After hesitating for a moment, Ai pulled Kousuke close and gave him a light, quick kiss on the cheek.
Before Kōyū could react, Ai jogged inside.
"Here's your money for food!"
Ai's face was as red as a sunset, and she leaned against the doorway, covering her chest with her hand.
Kōyū was slightly stunned. He touched the spot where Ai had just kissed him, and a slow smile spread across his face, eventually turning into a bright smile.
"Then I'll cook seventy or eighty meals tomorrow."
Guangyou shouted loudly across the door.
"Dream on!"
Ai leaned against the doorway, gritted her teeth, but then a smile appeared on her delicate face.
She spoke very softly, and Guangyou, who was outside the door, didn't hear her.
After saying that, Guangyou left after waiting for a while.
"Go home and sleep. I'm not washing my face today."
Guangyou made a decision in his heart, humming the song "Triumphant Smile" sung by Li Fen in his previous life, and skipped back to the agency.
After telling Xiaolan, Guangyou went straight to take a shower, carefully avoiding his face while showering.
The result of doing this was that it took twice as long to take a shower as usual, but Guangyou felt that the time was well spent.
"Ever since you came back, you've had this perpetually frisky smile on your face."
Conan flipped through the book and said gossipily, "Looks like you've had quite a haul!"
