"Hey, Kōyū, aren't you really going to watch the Soul Team's parade?"
Conan had already dressed himself and was ready to meet up with Genta and the others.
Today's parade by the Soul Team was unprecedented in scale, as it's rare for a football team to hold a parade for a victory.
Guangyou got up, stretched, rubbed his eyes, and said, "Go."
Everything around the office was normal; people were going to work or taking extra classes.
The group first met at Professor Agasa's house, and then Professor Agasa led them to the parade site.
Professor Agasa's house has gradually become the base for the Junior Detective League. They don't even need to think about anything else; just come to Professor Agasa's house.
Many people were already standing by the fences along the parade route, waiting for the parade to begin.
Many people were wearing Tokyo Souls jerseys and holding up signs with the names of the players they supported.
After a while, a line of bright red convertibles drove up in the distance. The players of the Tokyo Souls team, dressed in green and white jerseys, smiled and waved to the people who came to visit.
"How are the photos?"
Guangyou didn't care about the parade; he played soccer but didn't watch the games.
Without turning her head, Ai kept her eyes fixed on the direction of the parade and asked, "Which one?"
"The one from Kawaguchiko a few days ago."
Ai's lips curled up slightly, but she quickly regained her composure and said calmly, "It's alright, not bad."
Guangyou nodded: "That's good."
“Speaking of which, that match was really exciting.” Mitsuhiko said to Genta Ayumi, “They were down 0-1, but Heroes managed to tie the score.”
Ayumi smiled, placed her hands on her chest, and glanced upwards, seemingly recalling the scene from the match: "And also, Naoki's kick in the delayed match was really beautiful."
Guangyou slapped his mouth. He wasn't as keen on watching the game as the other three; he was only here because someone else was here too.
There were many people at the scene, mostly adults; they were probably the only group of children like them.
Guangyou said, "Speaking of which, with so many people here, can you even see the parade? If you can only hear the sounds, you might as well watch the TV broadcast."
Mitsuhiko glanced down at the camera in his hand and said, "Yeah, I even brought a camera with me. What a pity."
Conan put his hands behind his head, revealing his half-moon eyes, and shifted his gaze away from the person's buttocks. He said speechlessly, "So, didn't I tell you long ago that it's better to watch at home? It's much better than this situation where you're looking at someone's buttocks."
Guangyou curled his lip and complained, "Then why did you come out with a smile on your face and urge me to hurry up?"
Conan was speechless for a moment. After thinking about it, he realized that he did seem to have done that before.
"Anyway, I've already set up the camera, so it's fine to watch it later. I'll just treat this as a chance to experience the atmosphere on set."
Professor Agasa had anticipated this possibility long ago and made preparations accordingly, and as it turns out, he was right.
Genta looked around, and suddenly he spotted a trash can on the opposite side of the road through a gap in the crowd. He pointed at the trash can and said to the group, "Hey, why don't we go over there? Maybe we can see it from there."
They don't know if the method is feasible or not, but at least it's better than standing next to the protest and only being able to stare at other people's backsides.
Kōyū and Ai walked at the back, leisurely heading towards the Teitan trio.
Genta was the tallest of the Teitan trio, so this arduous task naturally fell to him.
But the reality was cruel. Even when Yuan Tai stood on tiptoe and strained to see in that direction, he could only barely see people's heads and still couldn't see the parade.
They tried hard to watch the parade, but Kōyū and Ai leaned against the wall and chatted.
"I'll show you that film when we get back."
The film he was referring to wasn't one with color, but rather the sunrise he took that day from the mountaintop.
There's basically nothing that needs adjusting; it was already beautiful. It just amplifies the Tyndall effect that would occur if the sun were already behind the clouds.
"Where's the amulet I gave you before?"
Ai suddenly turned her head to look at Kōyū, her big eyes scrutinizing him.
Guangyou didn't respond immediately, but simply reached out and took out the shark tag hanging from his chest.
He's been wearing this thing ever since he received it that day. It's a bit annoying when it's hot, but thinking about who gave it to him makes it much more bearable.
After confirming that he had been wearing it, Ai nodded in satisfaction and said, "You must wear it carefully."
“I will definitely keep wearing it, but…” Guangyou hesitated for a moment, but still frowned and asked, “But, I feel like something’s not quite right with you.”
Ai shook her head and smiled slightly, "No."
Seeing this, Guangyou didn't press the matter, suppressing his doubts, and the topic ended there.
Ai secretly breathed a sigh of relief. She didn't want to tell Kōyū that she had dreamt of him getting into trouble again last night. This feeling came inexplicably, and she couldn't explain it; she just had this feeling.
Seeing that Guangyou seemed to be trying to strike up a conversation with her, she chuckled and said, "Maybe I'm overthinking it."
Just as Guangyou found a topic and was about to start chatting, a domineering female voice rang out.
"Nonsense! How can you climb up to a place like this?"
The speaker was a woman with a hot figure, but dressed conservatively and wearing sunglasses.
The sudden sound made Guangyou forget the topic at first, even though it had only happened a second ago, he just couldn't remember it.
Dr. Agasa quickly apologized, "I'm so sorry, I'll have them come down right away."
As Genta climbed down from the mailbox, he stared at the woman with deadpan eyes and said, "Tch, auntie, will it cost you a piece of your flesh if you keep looking?"
The woman was also speechless at being called "auntie." After a slight pause, she put her hands on her hips and said, "I'm not that old yet, am I?"
“If you don’t obey, I’ll arrest you all.”
As she spoke, the woman reached out and removed the sunglasses and brown wig from her face, revealing a strikingly handsome face.
"Miwako-neechan...sigh..." Kōyū reached out and touched his forehead. He couldn't very well get angry at his own people, so he could only let out a long sigh.
Those present also felt a bit awkward and surprised. Conan looked at Miwako and asked, "Officer Sato, why are you dressed like this?"
"I understand!" Mitsuhiko said with an air of "I know, I understand," and "Officer Sato, did you deliberately disguise yourself and skip work to come and watch the parade?"
With his eyes tightly shut and clutching his chest, Guangyou said, "I never imagined that a civil servant could be so depraved!"
The next second, Kōyū felt a gust of wind on his head, and the next second, Miwako's fist was already on Kōyū's head.
Miwako said to Mitsuyu in a "friendly" manner, "Don't talk nonsense, kid. I'm here for a reason."
"It's all for the date, right?"
