Chapter 375 Guangyou Letting Go of His Own Habits

The sound made Miwako turn to the side of the road. Miyamoto Yumi sat in the police car, leaning against the window, her eyes full of amusement: "Is it because you're going on a date with that Takagi guy?"

"I just saw you and Takagi choosing wigs together," Yumi chuckled and said to Miwako. "You actually managed to sneak out on a date while you were on duty, Miwako, you're really something, but I support you."

"No, I just went out..."

Before Miwako could finish explaining, Genta and the others interrupted her, saying, "And you're talking about others?"

Ayumi said with some disappointment, "Isn't it inappropriate for a police officer to do this kind of thing?"

Ai Haibara chimed in, "That's a bit of a dereliction of duty."

Compared to their complaints, Guangyou stands out as quite different.

Guangyou clapped his hands and said with a smile, "Wishing Miwako a long and happy marriage!"

Miwako blushed instantly, turned her head and glared fiercely at Kōyū, gritting her teeth as she spat out each word: "Kōyū, what did you say?"

"I'm sorry, I misspoke." Guangyou quickly waved his hand and said, "I should wish you a house full of children and grandchildren."

After hearing the first half of the sentence, Miwako nodded in satisfaction, but after hearing the second half, the smile on her face gradually disappeared.

As she gradually turned to the dark side, she clenched her fist and punched Guangyou hard on the head. However, just before hitting Guangyou, she stopped and instead used her fist to draw circles on Guangyou's head.

"Actually, it's all for work."

Not far away, Shiratori, wearing a wool coat and a knitted hat, walked over and explained on Miwako's behalf, "Sato isn't here for a date."

Professor Agasa asked, "Officer Shiratori, why are you dressed like that too?"

Shiratori explained, "The Metropolitan Police Department received a strange fax a while ago. It said that the person was a fan of the Anti-Souls team and that he would cause trouble during the march."

Miwako quickly added, "Because it's very similar to the pattern of one of our previous cases, that's why our First Investigation Division was dispatched."

Looking at Miwako, who had completely removed her disguise, Kōyū interjected, "And then, because the criminals knew what you looked like, you disguised yourselves to ambush them?"

Miwako nodded seriously: "Yes, but we haven't found anything unusual yet. We all think it's just a prank by some fan who's unhappy that the Soul Team won the championship."

After Miwako finished speaking, Shiratori slowly turned his head, reached out and took off his round-framed glasses, and asked, "Officer Sato, as for your date, it should be next week, right?"

Miwako froze for a moment, staring blankly at Shiratori.

“I thought you two were so impatient that you couldn’t wait for that day, so you took the risk and came out on a date early while you were on duty.” Yumi also stroked her chin thoughtfully. “Looks like I was overthinking it.”

Miwako's face turned red again. In just this short time today, Miwako's face had turned red several times.

"Yumi, how did you know about this?"

Her blushing face was completely different from her usual self; she looked like someone who had been exposed and was furious.

Kōyū shook his head. Miwako was intelligent; she just didn't know, or pretended not to know, her position in the Metropolitan Police Department.

In a place like the First Investigative Division, it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to find a woman, and now this one is indeed quite attractive. How are these grown men supposed to control themselves?

She has many male fans, and also a large number of male fans...

Kōyū still remembers the farcical kidnapping incident involving Miwako. The police force involved was basically the entire Tokyo police force. The officers patrolling the streets were riding their bicycles like they were on sports cars.

Yumi looked at Miwako and said, "Everyone knows, right? Aren't you going to the newly opened tropical underwater park?"

Miwako's mouth gaped open slightly: "You...you know everything?"

Shiratori nodded, "Our intelligence capabilities are top-notch."

Guangyou, standing to the side, was slightly speechless, inwardly thinking, "Is it really okay for your intelligence system to investigate this kind of thing?"

Yumi added, "I also heard that Takagi was taken to the interrogation room by several police officers and, after being severely tortured, he confessed everything in no time."

Ai shook her head and said softly, "Officer Takagi is really a sinner."

Kōyū wholeheartedly agreed with this, and besides, Takagi was genuinely too afraid to say it, which made Kōyū, as a mere bystander, anxious for him.

"Anyway, you'd better be careful. I heard that a lot of police officers also submitted leave requests on the day you were on leave. When that happens, the scene will be... tsk tsk."

Yumi, always eager for drama, knew some of the inside story as Miwako's best friend and wasn't worried about it.

Shiratori glanced upwards, thought for a moment, and then said, "By the way, I remember that the police department's binoculars and communication equipment were all lent out on the day you were on leave."

Miwako already had a bad feeling: "Could they all be spying on me all along?"

Kōyū nodded, confirming her idea: "Miwako-neechan, you're right. I also heard that Officer Shiratori was the overall commander of the operation plan that day."

Miwako slowly turned her head, staring intently at Shiratori, and asked, "Is that so?"

"Hahaha..."

Shiratori scratched his head awkwardly and could only try to distract himself with a loud laugh.

However, this confirmed the truth of what Miwako said. After glaring at Shiratori, she bent down and said to Miwako, "It's not really a date. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Officer Takagi for helping me before."
